  1. this F-Con won't suit an RB20DET and Unless your mechanic is BD4's or Croydon's theres no point in asking as he wont be able to tune this ECU. as for the O2 sensor, its as old as the motor which was a '91 rb20det. its in excellent condition. PM me if your still interested.
  2. PM sent, Map sensor and air temp sensor included with the F-con. all it needs is an adapter loom (~350 from bd4's for R33 GTS-t)
  3. thats why i suggested if he was in sydney it could be an option. thier awsome ECU's, just very impractical if you dont live close to BD4s or Croydons..
  4. If your in sydney you could get a HKS F-con, does away with the afm and are more advanced than the power fc's... just so happens i have an f-con for sale..
  5. Should be a good upgrade, the poncams with that sort of lift wont need bigger valve springs (usually just the Procams require spring changes) and they should retain a near stock idle.
  6. Ok time to clear out some of the parts in my shed due to moving house. KKK K27 turbo, 600-odd hp turbo, t3 flanged ext gated ~1.00 rear housing. 76mm 40T compressor and 76mm turbine. Needs new seals as the exhaust side is leaking oil. (approx $600 for full rebuild) good for a rotor or rb30, was alittle big for my rb20 spooled at 5K. still made 220rwkw on 10psi though. $300 Set of RB20DET R32 injectors - Sold Set of RB20DET Nics HR31 Injectors - $40 RB20/25 Exhaust manifold - $40 HR31 HICAS Lock bars, replaces your rams with rose jointed bars. - Sold HKS F-Con V Pro Version 2.1 for RB25DET, was tuned to run an RB24DET with twin injectors, K27 turbo, big front mount, etc. made 220rwkw on 10psi. - $300 Repco thermo fans 16" - $60 14" - $50 12" - $40 HR31 Headlights (not projector type) - $60 Karl
  7. That route would also help the air temps as you've got airflow over the hot side aswell, however its alot more piping to pressurise once you're back on throttle. heres a pic of my piping, actually looking at the cold side there i doubt its even 1.6 metres, will have to measure it. the hot side consists of that 2.5" piece plus theres a 400mm section not in that photo.
  8. external gate? meh, been there done that! Silver, what made you choose to run it like that? i'm assuming your intercooler to throttle pipe runs under the cooler? reason i did it that way is the intercooler exit comes out just between the battery and radiator so it basically made the cold side approx 1.6 metres, and meant i could run 3" without loosing much if any throttle response! Had a small issue with bonnet clearance though... Car gets tuned hopefully tuesday then cold start needs to be done so hoping to be driving it wednesday morning.
  9. Also using one of these on my rb, no problems whatsoever. mines not as clean as that one though!
  10. Well i've finally got the car finished, ended up going with the 2871r 56t using a machined out rb25 rear and a hks low mount. being tuned atm so will report back on how it goes next week. Very keen to get back driving it again! some pics
  11. ? do you mean the cooler to throttle body side? ie the pipe over the top of the rocker cover pointing backward? if so thats the feed hose to the Idle up system.
  12. LOL nate. should be fine, just make sure the timing belt goes back on where it was and when thier set to 0 degrees its just like having normal unadjustable gears..
  13. got any more pics of that exhaust manifold?
  14. try your local wreckers for a mr30 one, i just grabbed one to fit gtr injectors to my rb20det for $20.
  15. uh oh! youve back chatted to mussolini! seriously nismoid, do you have to answer EVERY post with a "STFU and use the search button" post? lighten up dude. is this a forum or a dictatorship? that should fire him up.
  16. hey grim, you wouldnt happen to have a dyno graph thats got boost plotted would you? have been looking for some real world figures for a long time but no one seems to have any.. 2871r will bolt up with a machined up rb25det exh housing. Your confusing me disco, in your initial post you recommended the 52t, whats changed your mind? Cheers Karl
  17. or if you have a power fc grab the boost control kit.. boost control via an electronicly controlled solinoid is far better than bleeding the air to the gate via a t peice and screw valve IMO. but use both ideally, if your looking at running 20psi then definately get a stiffer spring also.
  18. it was full boost by around 4k, apparently a fairly awsome street turbo. basically thats ideally what i'm after, with alittle less power, couple that with the rb20 head's poor breathing and i figure the 2871 is around what i need. i was going to just buy a 2835 Pro S but cannot afford the HKS name so am aiming for around the same or smaller minus the badge... it'll be mainly hills driving, track days, motorkhana and hill climbs so a usable power band is what i'm aiming for. as for a high flow, if i'm going to spend $2k on a turbo i figure i might aswell go for something with the latest blade designs etc. what do the gcg high flows use? i was under the impression they use a T04 rear wheel and bored out stock housings so why would that be any different to the 2871 and 25 rear? sorry if this is getting alittle long in the tooth but i'm hesitant on spending all my cash and ending up with an inefficient turbo..
  19. Go to the rb26 turbo upgrade sticky post up the top of this forum. plenty of guys running the hks 2530's. tough car, love that engine bay. Karl
  20. this is sort of what i'm worried about with stepping up to the 60mm rear wheel and 3071r. from looking at results with rb25 guys using the 2835pro S and seeing that they get 300rwkw and 4k spool i think it may be alittle too big even in the .64 ar housing. i know i've only got 100cc less than the rb25det but bottom of the line my head wont flow as well as the rb25det and i'm not really chasing much more than 250rwkw. as for the turbines should use thier own garrett made housings for best efficiency arguement, what would you advise then? go for the gt28 .63 ar t28 internal gated housing and adapter flange or use the rb25det t3 integral gate housing? seems to be downsides to both, either the restriction caused by an adapter flange or the nozzle angle and shape being wrong with an rb25 housing.. Cheers Karl
  21. Got the turbo off my RB24DET up for sale, basically gone smaller instead of rebuilding it because it was too laggy for my liking. would be perfect for a rb30det or a rotary. made 220rwkw at 10psi on my car and motor ran out of rev's before it could really open up. with more boost and some extra CC's could make easy 350kw. KKK K27 t3 flanged external gated. approx. same size as a GT40. ATS in adelaide qouted $600 for a full rebuild with new bearings and seals. or $150 for just new rear seal. asking $300 Cheers Karl
