  4. just to summarize... putting in a RB30 requires more supporting mods..meaning u cant just use those existing on ur RB26 else it'll perform worse? so...maybe to some, it boils down to cost effectiveness and/or purpose. no right or wrong... as long as it fulfils ur requirements and wallets. chill guys

  7. found this RB30DET dont think there is an absolute good or bad just a matter of preference.. personally i'd stick to the RB26DETT..its not THAT bad...esp if Mine's can make theirs so fast too rite? Mine's Skyline
  8. what abt the "weight" of the oil like 10W40 vs 20W50 etc? what are you guys using for the track? true that oil thins out at higher temps... but if u use a "thicker" oil? any comments?
  9. personally i havent seen a 044 fail terribly wrong being submerged so i cant say i have irrefutable proof but yea.. other than the sock and inlet design, there's also the idea that the 044 was designed out of tank which means it might get hotter? IMO.. why not just use a pump that was designed to be in tank instead of putting an external pump in tank.. seems dangerous to me to be messing with anything that is so close to 40-50 litres of petrol...

IMO, it would improve the flow of electrons if the car body (rusty) is old, by having more grounding points from the battery to the car body since almost every circuit uses the car body as an earthing point. also it functions as a capacitor as what is used in ICE...but other than that...these things are usually overpriced for their purpose.
  11. would it be better to buy one that u really like and would keep for more than 5 years? 1 year seems rather short and if u are going to mod it.. would be even less financially viable, no? next would be u cant compare apples to apples cos the R34 and R33 werent different in terms of age only. the wheelbase of the R33 is longer i believe. personally i prefer the R34
  12. Hi all...wondering if someone can help answer these questions... 1) the R34 Z tune. Was it flush with the Z tune front fenders? 2) they used rear fender covers.. does it mean that the Z tune offsets made the rims poke out of the BNR34?

  15. 044 is an external pump... 040 is internal. so if u took it from inside the tank... it shouldnt be an 044. if it is... it was installed dangerously wrong. some pumps can be faulty or dying and still work from time to time

  17. yes but they would also need to heat shield the electronics as well...then it may be fine but if its somewhere around the engine bay... wouldnt it still get heat soaked?
