  1. very impressive project and nice turbo
  2. actually these electronically controlled acutators...have been used for power valves aka exhaust bypass and most of them fail within 6 mths... electronics and heat dont mix very well... as such i dont expect these to last either. best is still mechanical ones with simple spring and using vacuum IMO.
  3. looks really nice... now i just need an R35 hows the fitment?
  4. " Just let us know if you'd like a particular car with a certain number of kms and we'll organise it for you." actually they werent lying... they just didnt say that they will FIND a car matching your criteria, they will find one and wind the kms back to the number u like... LOL
  5. yea saw pics of that supra on JOC's fb page
  6. glad to know that steps are being taken to stop these dodgy dealers... they should interview Edward Lee? LOL
  7. hey Ants... am getting access denied error. any chance i can download this elsewhere?
  8. hey guys anyone has a copy of FAST that covers up to 2002?
  9. u planning on 295 tires? niceeeeeeee
  10. i believe the EDFC takes constant 12V and a wire for ignition... else the settings will reset each time u turn off the engine. careful how u wire it cos if the current is not stable... each time u crank u might get error beeps...happened on my S13 before...
  11. i've wired the real defi meters and main unit before... if this is similar i'd say the main unit thats inside the cabin... one is ground, one is constant 12V positive and the other is to ignition... there is also an orange for illumination... as for the meter..it only connects to the main unit. boost sensor connects to main unit and takes a silicon hose from your intake plenum. hope this helps...
  12. hahahahahahah the home made sticker suddenly made it legit... maybe would sell better if they had a home made Z tune sticker...
  13. very well done... looks professional, clean and neat. u should be proud of what u've done..
  14. how bout nismo LM GT4 rims?
  15. is the intercooler upgrade urgent? if not, maybe u can hold back abit and save up more for a better one? most quality stuff dont come cheap...
  16. changed all the arms in my S13 to the kazama ones, even changed a second set. creaking noises came after 3 months. removed dust boot and regreased the entire joint. no noise... then creaking noises came back after 1 month or so. So i figured it was the rose joints... Friend had ikeya formula ones on his S15.... same issue after couple of months.
  17. viperperformance.com has it too... UK website... pricing's ok and shipping's fast.
  18. oops... yea was thinking of a skyline... just wanna get a feel of the prices. initial thought was if u're gonna do the engine bay and boot.. might as well do the interior as well right IF the price diff aint that great..
  19. hi all just wondering if anyone knows roughly how much is a good full paint job? ie: strip out interior and engine bay to spray entire chassis from bare metal?
  20. yeah...one man's meat is another man's poison...
  21. Personally i'd steer clear of china made intercoolers though some have mentioned that their quality control has improved vastly... the china made ones that i have seen in person...pipings are either porous, bad fitment issues, uneven thickness or have tons of burr that would cut ur hand the top end greddy kits are beautiful and relatively cheaper, HKS ones are also worth mentioning and Blitz. Intercoolers while seemingly simple do have some research/tech in them. for example, u want maximum cooling which requires excellent contact of the incoming air with the cooling fins yet u dont want a huge pressure drop. So the tech comes in how efficient is the material used for the fins to absorb convectional heat from the turbo-ed air, then it has to conduct the heat to its outer surface and lose the heat to the cool air passing over it via convection. Some companies manage the restrictive portion by having a special fin layout/design. hope this helps
  22. I'd get a BNR34 and a Supra first with that kinda $$$... that said...that car is super showcar kinda clean...
  23. luckily i'm not a big fan of those... omg...$200k?????
  24. change everything... get an engineer to go through it once... then tada!! i'd go with the ikeya with rubber bush cos almost all rose joints will start making creaking noise after a short while. previously i thought all aftermarket arms only came with rose joints...ikeya formula ftw!!
