I've gone from stock rubber bushing to cusco polyurethane ones in my S13. the engine response is fantastic cos it hardly "rocks" anymore and all the power is transmitted immediately to the transmission BUT ur chassis will vibrate more too (low freq vibrations)...u can see it in your side and rear view mirrors. After a while i hardly noticed it anymore... but some ppl might find it nauseating? as for the nismo ones... its definitely stiffer than stock....but for the price, i personally dont find it worth it. thus i went for the cheaper and even stiffer cusco ones

When i bought my S13, it came with a Motec M800. Very good ecu to learn about tuning etc but way overkill and expensive. adaptronic's e1280 seems more reasonable and popular.... that or Link G4?

i get what u're saying ... but certain things to make a car more driftable is actually dangerous...example, rear toe out makes the car more tail happy but u sure as hell cant drive it fast or as a daily. similarly, hard suspension, solid mounts make the car more responsive but what the rest are saying is that too hard suspension with no room for shock absorption will make ur car flip on a bumpy road where the car has no "time" to dampen the bounce before encountering the next. Even then, u can make it more driftable without going to the extreme...at the end of the day...it boils down to skill of drifter rite? 100mm ride height can look nice, it all depends on the bodykit no?

but it would be good to have a place where we can name and shame dodgy workshops... would it be defamation if the OP just stated what happened? like how xxx did not do this ... or did that instead etc?

ok maybe i should rephrase... if your car is rare and valuable, are u able to insure it accordingly to how much u paid for it...mods and all? or will the insurance company tell u how much its worth?

while as a customer, i can see that everyone wants the best deal, best bang for their buck but yeah... businesses have to make $$ to stay in the business...else there will be no one left to do the jobs on ur car that u cant or dont want to do. i have seen people who are really cheap asses but yet dont do their research... these are the worst... and sometimes, its alrite to let the business earn abit from u..once u build a good working r/ship, then discounts can come from repeat business/loyal customers rite?
