  1. just curious (I dont have an ATI damper) IF the proper belt is used and tensioned properly, together with a good condition ac pulley, how would the belt come off? the grooves in the belt/pulley plus the lip on the pulley will hold the belt in place no? unless the belt was loose/worn...or the damper was vibrating so much until the belt could slip over the grooves (which is highly impossible cos that means your engine would have been destroyed) I would check the belt tension and make sure the ac is properly tightened

  4. I've a BNR34 and I've sat in a R35... the feel is different. To me, the BNR34 is a childhood dream... the involvement of driver and car. R35 is fast...but to me, thats it. Its like being chauffeured around in a fast car.
  5. looks pretty well done...

    How Tight...?

i use the mcgard ones...tighten with a torque setting of about 85-90nm... before that, by hand to see if it turns easily... is there a recommended torque setting for these wheel nuts??

    How Tight...?

omg...now thats scary... but wouldnt the wheel studs loosen first before a steel nut even cracks? its steel rite?

    How Tight...?

u have a point but actually i think most people who even think of using a torque wrench are familiar with cleaning the nuts and studs before tightening them. isnt that like the first thing u would do even if u use a rattle gun? its not abt no confidence in oneself but rather, no confidence in tire shop apprentices. have u seen some tire shops rattle away and round a wheel nut or loosen a wheel stud? I have... thus now i tighten the wheel nuts myself.
  18. easiest way is to just pay iron chef to do it for u...end of story.
  19. definitely the modified car yes...but that said, i rather the car enjoy a simple and safe life before i bought it....hahahahahaha so i can buy a pristine, low kms beauty then modify it... no...but i will put a motec/vipec, with high quality parts in it then get the ideal HP what about someone who modifies a nur? http://www.street-cover.com/feature/daniels-r34-gtr-v-spec-ii-nur/ http://www.pasmag.com/features/rides/3300-2002-nissan-skyline-r34-gtr-v-spec-ii-nur
  20. in general, modifications make the car faster better and more importantly unique, a sense of identity of the owner, for the owner... however, when u talk specifically abt the GTR, there are also the purists/collectors who want to preserve the true lineage and icon of the car (much like a thoroughbred horse). I prefer to modify my car
