I want to buy a nismo short shifter but they only are compatible for gtr's and gts4. Will it fit my r32 gtst if so what's involved?

I took the Mbc off when I put it over the pits a month ago and when I hit boost with out the Mbc attached it boosted too damn high I don't think I had any loose lines. So I put the Mbc back on and it's ok. It runs just a little bit rich like when I come on boost a bit of black smoke spews out the exhaust. How do I even go about getting it nistuned, I dont know where to start. But I know before I get it tuned it needs bigger fuel pump and a 3 inch down and dump pipe.

How do you adjust the preload? It's running 16psi then tapers to 14. I bought it even though though it's not tuned, they have had it running like this with the highflow for 4 years and no problems but It runs a little bit rich and I think I can hear it pinging a tad under boost at high rpm so I wanted to lower the boost to maybe 10ish untill I got it tuned? It has a fmic and cat back but no fuel management or ecu

My rb20 r32 I bought a while back has a highflowed rb25 turbo and a turbosmart boost controller when I turn the Mbc right down it doesn't lower the boost at all my buddy said its because the actuator might have been modified when the turbo was highflowed at per4manz? Is there anything I can do to turn down the boost other than buying a different actuator?

When would a gt28rs be at ful boost?

I know the tune is a MUST but how much does it really improve everything?

I don't know the compression but it generally feels like it runs well and came from a good family who imported it and didnt drive it too hard ( I know this) no exhaust leaks either. I could buy a stocker 25 turbo off gum tree but that wouldn't get me close to the response of the sr20 would it? The sr20 also has the stocker t25 turbo...

I don't know the high flow specs I rang per4manz turbos in Perth, they did it a few years ago but they had no clue...

By something else I mean a different car probably a wrx A mate took me for a drive in his sr20 180sx and it pulled much harder than my 32 and was coming on boost soo early like 2600ish.. he had pon cams, tune, fmic, 3 inch exh and injectors. Can I get that low response with a 20 mine comes on at 4200 ish and pulls no where near as hard as his 180

Hi, my r32 (rb20) has a high flowed r33 turbo, front mount and a 3.5 inch cat back the actuator in the high flow is at 14psi. I want a turbo that fully boosts by 2500 - 3000 ish and pulls harder than the high flow if I got it nistuned and bought a 3 inch full exhaust plus smaller turbo would that do it? Help me please or should I sell it and buy something else?

How do I remove the turbosmart mbc I did a search to no avail.. There's is some clips and things the owner left in the car that are to do with the stock solenoid I think..?

My r32 with rb20 130000kms peaks at 19 psi at 5 grand with highflow turbo boost controller is wound all the way down the car isn't tuned yet runs rich when spools coz black smoke comes out only when hits boost is this too much boost? if a rb25 highflow is big for a rb20 why is it still slower than a stock 33 and only 150 - 160ish kw ?

okay cheers, a mate was driving behind me and said it pisses black smoke when it hits full boost at 4.5k so it must be rich would a tune make it much quicker? its just a tad slower than a stock r33 so im guessing with weight factored in it would be like 160kw?? what could i maybe get with a decent tune at allstar garage in perth or something like that... i know nothing about tuning.

it wasnt advertised as being tuned, i just think its good because its smooth and still new inside out, is a rb25 highflow considered big? do you think im okay to keep running 15psi with this non tuned set up doesnt overheat or sttutter or anything.

Hey, I bought a 98 r32gtst a month ago as it drives like a new car beautiful tight shifting no dents at all perfect original interior everything is still rigid good smooth motor. It has a front mount, podfilter, 3.5inch catback, per4manz highflow turbo from perth a while ago with garret guts and bush bearings, it reads 15 psi full boost. The only thing im a bit worried about is that it isnt tuned at all!!!!! it runs smooth and everything but exhausts some black smoke when i spool it so i guess its rich, but its not tuned??? i thougt it would run lean with a turbo upgrade.. plus its real laggy do you think thats because of the stock down pipe + non ball bearing turb + plus big intercooler + rb20 ? the other question would a tune make it spool earlier? it pulls at 4.5k i raced a standard r33 the other day and it only just beat me would a tune make it less laggy and alot faster? coz it still lost to a standard 33 with all my upgardes...? cheers
