  1. Thanks for the interesting comparison mate. Call me nuts, but I actually find the older CF pillar more tougher with the lighter less glossy finish and looks more tougher in my opinion. The logo itself is exactly the same except for the letter O. Cheers
  2. Do you have any reputable custom cover makers in mind? Cheers
  3. Anyone? Surely someone has one of these covers?
  4. Damn that’s neat and flash as! Good work mate.
  5. I’m curious how it looks. Can you post a photo? Cheers
  6. Hi guys, I’m going to start doing a new post-grad course for work so will have less time to drive my cars so will have to give them a good service/clean then store away in the garage for a while. I have never owned a car cover but thought I’d take this opportunity to get nice custom GTR ones like the below photos but it seems only R35 GTR ones are available? Does anyone know where to order them from, prices and do they last? Cheers!
  7. You took the photos off a SAU post so you would know that it is a custom fibreglass mould.
  8. Who would say such a thing? ?
  9. I think the turbo gasket is broken or come off and check air filter clamps and hosing. Also check check and clean out Throttle body plate and air intake valve. Dirt deposit sometimes builds up in these areas over time. Just remove and clean with some grease remover and soft cloth. Or you can buy an air can and spray.
  10. Thanks mate. I think I'll just replace the blown regular globe with the exact same one and leave it at that. I went out to dinner this evening and saw a VW Golf GTI with LED rear licence plate lights and they looked awful.
  11. Awesome honest opinion mate thanks. So just regular T1 whiter globes or just keep them the same do you think? Which gloves do you have? Cheers!
  12. I took the GTR for a drive today and it drove beautiful and looking from the rear the camber is barely noticeable. I have 19" wheels so and it's lowered so this is probably why. I think getting the right wheel alignment is an art. Not easy to get right and then again what is the "right" compromise? Thanks for all your information though. Very interesting.
  13. You should post the actual pictures here to get more interest.
  14. Hey guys, So I was cleaning my R34 GTR the other day and thought I'd do a check on all the lights and discovered that the rear registration light had one blown bulb. I think they're stock halogen ones and I've never bothered to check them as I rarely drive this at night. So replacing them is a must but this begs the question should I leave them stockish halogen yellow or upgrade to LED bright white? I front lights are LED globes so are relatively brighter white (not a fan of HIDs) so rear LEDs would suit but I've seen a few cars with them on and it looks like a midnight disco ball which attracts a lot of attention and looks a bit flashy then again the stock lights on cars like the Mercs have LEDs on the rear but they look nice and more tame. What do you guys think and what have you done on yours? Photos would be great. Cheers, Alex
  15. It's been several months so you would have resolved this by now, but just in case It's very unlikely anyone would have a spare stock exhaust laying around but what you can do is go to an exhaust shop and "rent" a stockish exhaust from them. A few of my mates done this to clear their defects before. Not going to mention any specific ones out of respect for their shops but you just need to look around. The EPA won't know what a stock exhaust looks like anyway. By the way, how did you get done for the exhaust?
  16. Hey mate, not too sure what you mean by low revving issue? As you saying you cannot rev high or are you saying at low revs something is acting up for example it's idling rough? Before you do anything, check turbo gasket, exhaust piping, hoses connecting air cleaner and blowoff valve if you have one. Then let us know further.
  17. Here mate, I'll do a SAU search for you:
  18. Hell, if it fits get a ford Barra engine. Their quite accessible from local wreckers and cost around $2K mark annd some even come with an existing turbo set up but with the significant increase in power you may have to upgrade brakes and suspension.
  19. Before anything, I would do the following: - Check to see if the car is lost, stolen or has been written off - Ask to see service logbooks to check that the car has been serviced regularly and by whom - Check to see if the car has any current finance on it and who is the registered owner - Given it has been modified, ask for specific information in regard to what because major performance mods may require an engineers certificate in case you get pulled up and defected by the cops - Depending on which state your from, you may need a roadworthy check and certificate to transfer registration so if you intend on driving it on the streets this is a must The above are what I would do but I'm sure there are other precautionary measures you should take buying a 20-30 year old car. Good luck.
  20. Thanks for the sharing mate. Sometimes older things are better and this is a prime example. No way can modern cameras shoot like this. It has a rugged natural classic look to it just like the 20-30 year old GTR of its era. Love it.
  21. Nice GTR but in my opinion - too many black happening so if the lights were clear and and botton lip was colour matched white the car would look much better. But clean for sure.
  22. From my experience you won’t be able to see anything if the gloves are any other colour except for white, yellow or blue. Also keep in mind LEDs can sometimes be super bright which can be a distraction at night!
  23. Also, it’s also based on what you think is reasonable, e.g something might be worth hundreds but you just want it gone and vice versa.
  24. Both beautiful mate. Is this an older SLR camera? Somethings cannot be replicated. I love how the older cameras shoot photos.
  25. Yeah, no pun intended. ?
