Hi guys, I really like the hand-in-hand look of the GTR badge and Nismo badge on the new Nismo R35 GTR's and wouldn't mind a nice high quality Nismo badge on the right side of my R33 GTR's bootlid but I cannot for the life of me find a good quality or genuine Nismo badge anywhere to buy. All the cheap ones on eBay look tacky and cheap so I do not want any eBay badge near my car. Has anyone added a Nismo badge to their car recently and care to share? Cheers

R34 Gtr Badge And V Spec Decal Position ?
Robocop2310 replied to etang789's topic in Exterior & Interior Styling
Thanks Thanks mate - well, I decided to go ahead with it anyway and the badge is on there...looks very nice in my opinion but I noticed 2 things about it... 1) the r34 GTR badge is a little smaller that the R33 one 2) The red painted area is more dark and bloodish red so looks a bit different Therefore to make the badge look more proportional on what is a slightly bigger bootlid area on my R33 I had to move it up a bit from the bottom and slightly more towards the left but looks good in my opinion so no no worries there...I suppose it's still putting a GTR badge on a GTR so I won't be hung for treason! lol also, they look quite similar anyway -
Thanks mate. I could've have put it any better. I mean, I am married with kids, studying and have a demanding job so I'm time poor most days so I really can't spend 1-2 hours here and there on cleaning my car every couple of weeks that's why I need some quick cleaning tips that I can do periodically that will require 30 minutes and then I can do the proper detailing job when I got more time. Moreover, I keep my GTR garaged all the time and drive it like twice a month so I don't think it's going to get dirty very quickly so surely there's no need to clay bar and wax the thing every fortnight. What I'm after is something more like: 1) Rinse with hose - clean with soup in a bucket 2) Dry with rag / microfiber cloth etc 3) Rub some lotion on there to keep it clean and UV protected. I think Claybaring it all the time is an overkill as my car isn't that dirty to begin with and those things are expensive like $30-50 bucks a pack! Any honest tips would be great! Cheers

Different Rear Gtr Badge On R33 Gtr
Robocop2310 replied to Robocop2310's topic in Exterior & Interior Styling
Thanks mate - that's one sexy R32 GTR. Nice and the badge goes very well as the R35 kinda looks like the R32's original badge. Nice! -

Sorry to hijack this thread - but how do you guys feel about putting a R34 GTR badge on a R33 GTR? My R33 GTR badge got damaged recently so wouldn't mind trying something new. -

Surely, people have done a swapey? -
I think the answer is you won't be able to find an aftermarket solution to fix the existing sunroof. I have a friend that was in the same situation. He ended going to a Custom Car Sunroof place and got them to fix everything up including a new lifting motor etc. Wasn't cheap but he basically has a brand new sunroof installed. He said it cost him less than he expected but the work looks really good so I doubt it was cheap. Perhaps give some custom car sunroof places a call to see what they would charge? Cheers

Do not just paint over it! If you're going to do it, do it properly. Jack up your car, take off your wheels and mask everything besides the calipers up (the quicker way as you're really ought to take the calipers off to paint them individually if you're willing to do it the absolute right way)...then you sand back the black paint, add 1-2 layers of primer paint and then paint over that with whatever paint colour you want but make sure it is heat resistant paint. That's it. Painting over the current layer will probably make the paint thick and once the red flakes off over time you will see the black under coat. Up to you how you do it though.

Car Is Slower On 14psi Then <10psi?

You can't (shouldn't anyway) just turn up the Boost and expect the car to run at optimal levels - you ought to get it tuned or re-tuned to allow high Boost. Cheers -
Hi guys, as the topic suggests...I have never detailed my car before have always just washed it and then brought it to a detailing place once every few months to get detailed but now that I have some time on the weekends I want to start cleaning and detailing my ride myself so was wondering what would be the simplest and quickest method of doing this? I was sent this from some friends saying to follow this as it's the simplest method: Can someone please provide some advice on what order to follow and specific products to use? I know there are very detailed DIY's but I'm not after ShowCar stuff, I just want my car to look clean, shinny and well maintained. Thanks in advance. Cheers

If you choose to install rear pods on your back bar - make sure you get the corner put on real tight and filled if possible - some cheap copies don't fit well and have gaps - makes it look cheap as flimsy !
