  1. Sounds to be the brakes pads are either the wrong size or not properly installed THEN you also need to check if your Pistons are hooked up properly. I had the same problem turned out they used aftermarket brake pads and it was the wrong size so kept making that squeaky sound.
  2. No worries mate makes sense if you can saving on labour. I suggest you choose an open space with plenty of room to take the glass out and have a blanket on the ground for you to put the glass onto once you've unbolted it. Should take you 40 minutes max. Be careful and don't force the glass out too much.
  3. Sounds to me rear breaks weren't installed correctly. Eg. the pistons not connected or brake pads not installed properly.
  4. I suggest use my method - this looks good but actually leaves a lights looking foggy and not crystal clear and only lasts a couple of weeks in the sun. My method will give you a couple of months.
  5. Hey guys, I know this thread is old but still relevant...I found the perfect combo to hit these filthy old lights to turn them to newish looking condition so here's my experience: 1) Wash them with water and soup and rubber with some force using a sponge. Let them dry off completely (important). 2) Get a fiber cloth and put some toothpaste on the lights and rub clockwise going from left to right, right to left directions. 3) Using just water - clean off the toothpaste and let it dry. 4) Buy a bottle of Autosol Metal Cleaner and wipe with a new clean fiber cloth and rub clockwise going from left to right, right to left directions. Repeat 2-3 times. 5) Using a hairdryer - heat up the headlights to let the Autosol cream lock in. I know this sounds weird but worked a treat for me. After like 2 minutes they look 200% better. They usually start going yellowy again after a couple of months so repeat the above process again. Good luck.
  6. Hey guys, I got some spare parts I wish to sell: 1) A pair of genuine R33 GTR Front Indicator Backing Enclosures + pair of clear Nismo Indicator Globe Housing (no bulbs included) Note: These have been on my car for a while but recently I took my car to a panel shop and the RHS one was not put on securely so it fell off and and the Globe's housing was damaged so the shop was able to find a replacement for me but it actually belongs to the LHS of some other GTR so it had to be slightly modified to fit. The RHS Backing enclosure is also slightly scratched but very hard to notice once installed. The LHS Backing/Housing is in good condition. No bulbs are included but can be bought cheaply. I went ahead and bought brand new replacements before I was told by my panel shop that they managed to fix/replace my RHS indicator backing/housing so I've installed the new parts on my car and therefore no longer need this second pair. These combined shipped can be very costly between $300-$450 from overseas. Looking for $250 + shipping for the whole lot. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 2) A pair of AutoSelect replica carbon Fibre front canards/diffusers: Note: These CF front canards are designed to fit flush with a R33 GTR front bar but can be modified to fit other front bumpbers. I bought this for my R33 GTR and only had them installed for a couple of days but I live in a very small block of units with a tiny shared driveway so one day I scrapped some trees on the side and damaged the RHS one. The left one is in near-new condition but the RHS one had some scrapes on the botton and side - I have slightly sanded it down and put on a thin coat of black paint so unless at close range the damange is not structural and very hard to be seen. I've since decided that these are not suitable for my circumstances so just want some cash back for them. Would look very nice on a R33 for that racing look or actual track use. These cost me nearly $500 shipped from overseas so I am hoping to sell them some someone for more practical use. Looking for $350 + shipping for the whole set (8pcs). Thanks for looking guys. Please PM me or Text 0401966954.
  7. Please clarify - when you say R32 GTR brakes you mean the stock Nissan ones or the Brembo variants? Also, What is a GTE - you mean GTS? Cheers
  8. I think you're right mate...I got hub-centric spacers and have not found any smaller than 15mm that fits flush and the ones I got are made specifically for Nissans so all good there, but then I will need a minor guard roll for clear around 5mm extra space for hard turns at high speeds and high bumps etc. I have looked at videos and done some research and you're right doing it myself wouldn't be too difficult, but I lack experience so I can't afford to have any mishaps and regret it - also, I don't want to fork out about $200 for the guard rolling tool when most likely I will only ever use it once or twice. That's why I'd just rather go pay someone around $150 to do it for me professionally to reduce the risk of paint cracking and it will be done nicely.
  9. Well, the problem is actually the reverse...my tires and rims fit fine on my R33 GTR but then I wanted the wide body look so got my rear and front guards flared (properly with extra body work done etc) - and the end results of great but then I realised my rear wheels were slightly a bit tucked away so I bought 15mm hub-centric spacers and it now looks great but is slightly scraping a bit over rough bumps or when I turn at high speeds so I measured and it looks like I will need to get a minor guard roll on the rears that will give my wheels around 5mm extra and then it's smooth sailing. And now, I can't afford to buy new wheels or tires now...
  10. Appreciate the advice mate. Considering I only need around 5mm of my rear guards flared and I'm taking it to The Suspension Centre in Kealba who apparently have done this many times, I'm hopeful they shouldn't crack but I will remind them to apply plenty of heat. Cheers mate
  11. Hi mate, taking out the glass is advisable however if you only want the outside painted I don't see why you need to remove it. Best to ask your panel shop first - they should be able to do it for you as part of the exercise. However, take the glass out isn't hard. You simply unclip the interior door trims, remove some screws, disconnect the window motor's wires and then remove the interior shelving then you will see there's a little metal lever holding the piece of glass in place, you will need to unscrew sections of the bottom of the glass from the lever(s) and then the glass it out. With painting, make sure the painter (they should) blends the colour according to the colour code and then give the whole car a good buff to ensure the colour is consistent throughout the whole car so it blends. Good luck.
  12. Cheers mate...just got some PM's suggesting Suspension Centre in Kealba VIC apparently they're really good and helpful. I'll give them a call - would have still preferred one of the above mobile guard rollers as I have young kids so it's very hard for me to go anywhere without my wife nagging!
  13. Hey everyone, I know this thread is a little old, but I have been trying to contact Gavin at Low Down Guard Rolling and I simply cannot contact him on his Mobile? Do they have a local contact email or phone number? I can appreciate there may be busy periods, but surely there must be someone answering the phones?
  14. Hey mate, Thanks for confirming - I have 15mm hub-centric spacers on and would not even consider slip-ons from bad experiences and glad you confirmed that the smallest they come in is 15mm...maybe I should have been more clearer at the start... I've considered negative camber but don't like the look...I have done some research and asked around and it seems I just need a minor Guard Roll and that should do it as I just need to clear an extra 5mm at most. I live in the western suburbs of Melbourne and have been trying to contact Phat Guard Rolling + Lowdown Guard Rolling and they NEVER return my calls. Surely they cannot be that busy and even if they are wouldn't it be professional to just call back and make a booking or something? Any ideas how I can get someone to come to my place and do this? Cheers
  15. Very true sorry guys. I live in the western suburbs of Melbourne. I've tried giving Phat Guard Rolling + LowDown Guard Rolling and they both never return my calls. They can't be that busy and even if so, they should at least take calls and booking...surely I must have an old number or something? Thanks guys.
  16. Are you after genuine or FB copies? If genuine, look in the Parts section and keep an eye out on JustJap, GumTree/Ebay or contact Nissan direct if you are willing to pay top dollar for brand new. If copies, Carmate, TopStage, JetSpeed and EBay. I suggest you go genuine.
  17. Yeah, I'm still trying to find a good place to do it right as I don't want the rolled guard look with the little thin flare on the edges and lose my current nice flush look. Such a tricky process.
  18. Thanks guys very good tips. I've rung the Tyre Factory and they're going to charge me $150 for both guards which is a bit steep I guess but I rather they be done by a professional place as I don't have the tools and worried I can stuff it up.
  19. Many thanks mate...you're right - I've looked at some YouTube videos and I know what you're referring to. Thanks guys.
  20. If you're not joking - can you please clarify...
  21. Uumm...not that simple, I don't think Spacers for Nissans come in less than 15mm but I may be wrong.
  22. Ha ha ha...yeah, I was desperate for a reply. But out of all seriousness, my guard's are a already flared and I don't like the rolled guard look - there's still some metal inside the guard so I think the problem is more relating to the inner guards. Cheers
  23. Hi guys, I recently bought some 15mm spacers for my rear wheels as the wheels more slightly tucked away and the fitment and extra width is perfect and I'm also enjoying the nice stance but I noticed that on rough turners it scrapes a little. What are my options of clearing an extra 5-10mm on the guards which would be perfect? Thanks everyone in advance!
