Final price drop to $11,500 firm.
-
It's still sitting in my garage, waiting for someone else to love it
-
Please, need to pay some debt off
-
$14,500 at all?
-
Oh all the usual stereo stuff, Alpine CDA-9807 CD/MP3/WMA player, Alpine splits in the front (not sure what model, came with the car) and an Alpine Type S DVC 12" sub powered by a Alpine monoblock of somekind. Also clutch was replaced with an OEM clutch about 15,000km's ago. I know the K's are high but it really does drive perfectly and the body and paint work is now 110%. I'm open to any offers at all, will consider swaps for something common + cash my way.

Anyone one at all?

And finally, i just picked it up from the shop last friday after getting all the carpark dings taken out, panels aligned, new windscreen, some surface rust around the window seal fixed and a full repsray. Looking for $16,500, car is currently located in Armidale NSW and i don't mind driving to Sydney/Newcastle or anywhere in between for serious buyers. And pics will be up soon, just waitin to get them off my friends camera.

Should have the car by the end of the week. And forgot to mention i don't mind taking it to Sydney/Newcastle for serious buyer (probaly buy a new car there anyway)

Well i figured it's time to move on, car is currently still in the shop being resprayed and having all the little carparks dents and what not fixed up. '93 S1 R33 GTS-T dark blue/green RB25DET 5sp Manual 185,xxxk km's 600*300*76 FMIC with 3" piping 3" Exhaust 18" AMG Wheels 32mm 2row radiator core HKS SSQV. It's had: Full respray with new GTR style front bar and alot of body imperfections fixed up at 185k km's. Timing belt, water pump, tensioner/idler bearings, radiator core all replaced at 170k km's new 18" wheels and tyred fitted at 167k km's clutch replaced at 165k km's (just with an OEM kit) and SSQV installed. I've had it 3 years and 90% of the k's i put on it was just cruisy 100km/h stuff between Tamworth and Armidale (bout 110k one way, live in Tam on weekends, at Uni in Armidale through the week) Um there's probaly something i'm missing but i can't think of it right now, pics will be up as soon as i get the car back (shouldn't be too much longer). priced at $16,500 or swap for a WH Statesman (not interested in much else)

http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/in...howtopic=149340 few silver ones in there (but in R33's)
-
I'm doing mine in Mercury Silver, it's a fairly grey silver and i think it looks quite sweet myself. Not blindingly glary like white, not stupid looking like fluro blue and just add's a very nice touch.
-
The mirror switch i got a flathead screwdriver and lever'd it out from the front, just be careful not to put too much pressure on the dash plactic's.

Had a go today, completly botched it, musn't have shaken the primer enough and was spitting everywhere, didn't use a high enough sandpaper so got fairly noticeable scratches everywhere. So gunna goto supercheap tomorrow (hope they're open) get some 100,200,400,600 and 2000 grit sandpaper, another can of primer and the silver paint i picked out. Sand off all the old paint then work it up from 100 to 2000 grit to get a nice smooth surface, 2-3 coats of primer 2-3 coats of Mercury Silver or whatever it was and 2-3 coats of clear coating. Will let you guys know how it turns out EDIT: Just a quick question, how is everyone supporting the parts while they paint them, i've just had them lying on the ground, just so hard to get a nice even coating though, was going to hang it from the clothsline but it's right under a tree and didn't want shit falling off it

'93 R33 GTS-T 178,000k's 5sp 10,000k's on the timing belt, other belts, tensioner/idler bearings, radiator core and water pump. 12,000k's on the rims and tyres (18" AMG ones) 15,000k's on the clutch (just OEM one) 600x300x76 FMIC with 3" piping 32mm 2 row rad (std is 18mm 1 row) exhaust dual stage boost controller oil changed every 5k kms along with filter. everything runs fine. However it has some damage and 2 panels are a different colour, the guy before me tried to fix some scratch marks. Got a quote for $750 to fix it the rear end and re-align it all (no painting factored in though cause it'll be best to fully respray it anyway). Comes with a new front bar. And also big dent in rear bar where someone reversed into it or something, should just need another rear, might be able to get the dent taken out, don't know. And the windscreen has a far crack on the passenger side (passed rego twice like that though) It's all booked in to be fixed up, but yeah if your handy with a spray gun might be worth it. looking around the 10k ono mark.

Hey i got one for that price, need work though, all cosmetic it's booked i'm paying $800 to get the dings knocked out and the rear end re-alinged and another 5.3k to respray it all, will also throw in the new front and rear bars (front bar is cactus, rear has big dent in it) and the windscreen has a decent crack in teh passenger side (has passed rego like this twice though). Other than that it's got a new water pump, radiator core, thermo fan, timing belt and anciallary belts, tensioner/idler bearings, rims+rubber only got 10,000k's on them. Just needs a new front and rear (which i will supply) a few dents taken out and a new windscreen (dunno about this, few hundred should cover it) So if your handy with a spray gun maybe you'd be interested, i got it booked in to get all the work done already, but wouldn't mind saving myself the hassle.

Well i welded a bolt onto it and then used a wrench, but that's mainly cause i snapped the threaded bit on the end off, whoops. Other option is two bolts, screw them both and and lock them together then do as above. Also multigrips work sometimes Replaced both with bolts, best place i found was a local that deals with truck and tractor spares, plenty of high grade bolts!
-
Well my local Natrad guy recored my R33 one after the fan flew into it, went from 18mm single row to 32mm double row for $254.

Hey a while ago the bracket that holds the clutch pedal snapped on one side and it became a bitch to change gears, and now i want to fix it up. I undid the nuts holding the cutch master cylinder off and took out the pin that connects the pedal to the cable, and i couldn't get the bloody bracket to move, it moved a little bit, but i couldn't get it off. Any secrets too it, or should i just try more force?

I don't see whats wrong with the pipework going near the radiator, the pipe gets hot but air is pretty bad at absorbing heat, thats why the intercooler is designed to give a large surface area because it needs alot of air passing through it to cool the intake temp down. Even look at the CPU cooler on your comp, same principal, maximum area (plus a bit of turbulence). If air was effeceint at absorbing and losing heat we wouldn't need intercoolers, just run a pipe along the front of a car would be all.

Spend a few hundred now and get a decent cat, or pay $10,000 later on for punching the cat out, i know which one i'd be doing.
