  1. 185 kw is too low. I think fuel pump or injector (need clean) problem. Also your fuel pump is not hiflow (like a Bosch 040) or airflow meteor problem. Please calculate how much power is able to make from 370cc injector. I made many 220-260kw hiflow turbo with std injector R33 GTS-T.
  2. 240kw do not need bigger injector. You need Z32 AFM,hiflow fuel pump and bigger turbo.
  3. Japanese tuner adjusting to around AFR 11 for safe. AFR 11 map is for std fuel pump. If your car changed to hiflow fuel pump , AFR will richer than 11. Timing map is for 100 octane fuel (because fuel is 100 octane in Japan) so timing map bit higher than Australia 98 fuel.
  4. He does not know ecu problem or another problem. So I install remap ecu to his car then go to road test. His problem is fixed by remap ecu. But big air leak noise from engine bay on freeway.( he say this noise after install FMIC) Also AFR very rich. So I install base remap data to ecu this time.(did not tune) My feel around 30KW more than before. He will fix air leak his self ( because FMIC fitted his self) then he will come back to me for re tune ecu.
  5. I remapped ecu for his car today and his problem fixed. But his car is air leaking from somewhere so still AFR rich.(leaking noise from engine bay.) I think around FMIC pipe. Map sensor boost limiter start at 14psi. So std turbo do not need remove limiter.( I think safer for std turbo)
  6. Are you talking about C34 LAUREL? I am able to remap ecu for RB25det.
  7. If your car is series 1 I think boost limiter problem ( R&R) (series 1 and 2 bit different program. because series 1 do not have second throttle sensor ) If your car is series 2 Sounds like 1) change spark plunges. 2) replace coil pack. 3) change ecu.
  8. Hey guys, Just want to add a couple more things here. Basically, when AFR is rich, piston and cylinder can simply cool down by fuel. So if you drive stock R33 at the race circuit for 12 hours, it will never blow the engine. Just for extra information, when Factory Subaru liberty turbo (all stock) made the fastest record (faster than Saab turbo) in 0-100000km in oval circuit at 1989 year (maybe 1988), its AFR was 9.5. If it actually was AFR12, it probably couldn't have completed the circuit. Factory tune is to be safe but I do know that the Japanese tuners do shave the margin a bit resulting in AFR10.8 at before cat. The other thing is, adjusting AFR to 12 in summer, it wouldn't be too suitable for winter. In winter AFR will end up around 13 and i'd say it not too safe on a race circuit. I hope I was convincing enough. Just to finish off, I think it'd probably be better in the long run to tell the tuners what exactly you're after; better fuel consumption or higher power and where you'd be using the car. street or circuit because these will all be important factors.
  9. FCON V (silver) is piggyback. Its like a Emanage Ultimate. FCON V pro (gold) like a motech , haltech.(much better than FCON V silver) HKS selling harness connector for M35(connect to std ecu) so FCON V PRO is able to use auto. But FCON V PRO is very expnnectorensive. Around $1000 (ver 3.24-3.3)second hand (new around $1800)and new harness connector around $5-600. Tune cost around $700-1000.(same motech , haltech)
  10. HKS , APEX , MINS , TRIAL , all famous shop race cars AFR 10.8 at before cat (around same place std O2 sensor). They are try to 0-300km/h at YATABE also 0-1000m race in 1990s then they found best AFR 10.8. AFR 11.3 some time engine blow but 10.8 never engine blow.(around 800hp RB engine ) Std R33 25det AFR around 10 also std IMPREZA AFR around 9.5. So AFR 10.8 is not rich. I think AFR 12 at muffler is not problem for street car.(FMIC , full exhoust , boost 12-13psi) But bigger turbo car need richer than AFR12.(Im adjusting AFR 11-11.5 at muffler.This is around 10.8-11.3 at before cat)

Fuel consumption is same stock or better fuel. Timing map is totally different. B) More power than A) by around 5-10kw. Fuel consumption is bit less than stock map under 4000rpm. Timing map is totally different. We have 2 type Street and race circuit map AFR around 11.5 (not for drift) A) Power will be around 195kw.(with FMIC) Same fuel consumption Same stock fuel map under3000rpm and after4500rpm leaner than stock map Fuel consumption is same stock or better fuel.   17. Normally around 200kw at 12psi. I am able to fix flat spot . Much smoother than s-afc.

  20. This map is not std. But its not remapped map. This map is scrambled remap. I think shop(in Japan) scrambled on chip. So map can not read properly from consult (or programmer). Std map drop to around 5 degrees.
  21. I am able to remap R33 ecu. R33 ecu is 16 bit. R32 ecu and Z32 early ecu only 8bit.
