  1. Hi there and welcome to the community, we are generally a nice bunch of people but if you are gonna ask a question please use the search button first as it has more than likely been asked and answered before. So your car got any mods or anything?
  2. I'm pretty sure hp to kilowatts is 3 quarters of a kilowatt is 1 hp so he has about 220 kw.
  3. 3 quarters of a kilowatt is just about 1 hp.
  4. Why do you need an antenna adapter?? I just unpluged my stock stereo from my r34 gt-t and put in the new one and the antenna plug went straight in no problems, and the radio works fine.
  5. You most definetly need a wheel alignment and you may also need to get the wheels balanced. You should get a wheel alignment always when you put new tyres on. Hope it helps!!!
  6. It most certainly is, but i've had no problems with mine what so ever. And it's done 52,XXX kilometers now.
  7. Go to their website for dealer locations. www.redlineoil.com.au I use redline MTL in the gearbox and redline 75W90 Gear oil in the diff of my r34. Alot of people tend to use the shockproof versions of these oils but my car is a daily driver and i prefer the drivability of these 2. And i use motul 10W10 tubolight in the engine.
  8. I have the only one in Victor Harbor. A two door manual turbo, and a guy in Goolwa has a GTR, but i hardly ever see it out. I too am interested in how many of us are out there in S.A
  9. Well i just bought alot of oil for my car for engine i got Motul 4100 turbolight 10W40 Gearbox - Redline MTL Diff - Redline 75W90 Gear oil but it wasn't cheap, almost 300 dollars for the lot.
  10. For the record it wasn't my silver r34 as i live in victor harbor and was here all night.
  11. "Conductivities vary for material being greatest for metallic solids, lower for nonmetallic solids, very low for liquids, and extremely low for gases. The best ordinary metallic conductors are (in decreasing order) silver, copper, gold, aluminum, beryllium, and tungsten." http://hypertextbook.com/physics/thermal/conduction/
  12. Just be carefull on that R1, i was riding a zx-10r and cracked open the throttle in 3rd gear at about 150 or so and it mono'd, so be carefull if you've never ridden anything over a 250.
  13. My dad uses copper in our home hi-fi, just 2 speakers pre amp power amp and cd player. the speaker cable connectors are copper and the interconnects are silver. And this is a 30,000 dollar hi fi he's got.
  14. Copper is a better conductor than gold so i'd rather have copper connectors.
  15. sorry double post, zx12's are nice but if you love corners like i do i think you'd be happy with a current litre bike, but they are great for highway crusing, i swapped with my dads mate on the way to phillip island i rode his zx12 for a while and he rode my sv1000s and it was so much more relaxing.
  16. Yeah sorry just was a stupid reply, it's like people say to me why'd you buy a stock r34 when you could of got a 32, or 33 GTR and it would of been heaps faster? Well because thats what i wanted, and i want to mod it up to where i'm happy with it. Your bike does look good and i know the trappings of just spending a little on a bike or car and then 10 - 15 grand later your happy with what your got and go shit i could of bought alot of other stuff for that kinda money.
  17. You know for less that what you spent on that bike you could of bought a zx-10R and got an exhaust and had about 125 or so kilowatts at the wheel, plus it would be lighter, have better brakes, better chassis, etc, etc. Then spend about a few grand getting the shocks revalved, and getting it set up propably and you would have a much better bike.
  18. Hey i was in town today and picked up some redline oil for my manual turbo R34 and i got the Lightweight shockproof gear oil for the diff and the MTL for the gearbox. The thing is the diff oil is rated 75W140 and the the one for the gearbox isn't the shockproof it's just the MTL, so are these going to be ok for my car? These are what the guy at autobahn recommended.
  19. I was out there today and we had really good conditions.
  20. My friend you have the little button which can make your exhaust louder or quieter. All it does is move this little flap like thing in the exhaust to make it "sports" loud or "silent" quiet. You may find it doesn't work as they are known to seize up. Just out of interest can you tell me exactly your model of skyline is year, model etc. Cos my 98 2 door turbo manual doesn't have that switch.
  21. No way, My favorite 2d figher is easily Marvel Vs Capcom 2 on dreamcast. So easy to pick up and play but very hard to master. Brilliant. Also Quake 4 and FEAR have been keeping me occupied recently.
  22. I don't believe that sydneykid, even though i'm more knowlegable about motorcycle suspension i believe it would have the same basic principles. Changing the preload on a motorcycle barely affects the ride height at all, but it does make the action of the suspension happen faster. If the spring is compressed more than usual to begin with i'd believe it would compress and uncompress faster.
  23. Does anyone know anything about the Bridgestone GIII's???
  24. Does anyone know anything about the Bridgestone GIII's???
  25. GT-X is the top of the line luxury model. and GT-t is just like the equivilant of the GT-t 2 door. I'd get the GT-t if i was you. Unless performance is the last thing on your list. And in that case i'd get the GT-X
