  1. GT-X is the top of the line luxury model. and GT-t is just like the equivilant of the GT-t 2 door. I'd get the GT-t if i was you. Unless performance is the last thing on your list. And in that case i'd get the GT-X
  2. Just in case your not aware TASO84, changing the height with preload just compresses the spring to make the car lower. So if you do that you will find the ride to be even more firm and that the spring will compress and rebound faster, which is probabaly not what you want. Just thought i'd put it in simpler terms for you.
  3. Hate to break it to you [WLDCRD] but the average rider would be quicker on a 600 than on a 1000. If you ever wanna go to the track i'll be more than happy to show you how much faster i will be on my gsxr750 compared to you on a litre bike.
  4. R34's have a shorter wheelbase than the 33's.
  5. Hi there, i want to change the diff and gearbox oil in my r34 gt-t an di have used the search button and have decided to get redline products, but i'm confused as some say to use the lightweight in the gearbox and others say the heavy weight, and another said that the lightweight is not for gearbox' with synchro's. So which ones do i use for my car? It is just as a daily driver and see's a bit of track work. Help would be much appreciated. BTW it's a manual.
  6. I have a feeling the neo engines are better then the old non neo ones ie from a r32, 33 cos well my car has 206 kilowatts stock (flywheel) and about 330 nm, and a stock r33 has 178 or so series 2 (series 1 had less) and 280 or so nm of torque. So what are you smoking?
  7. Yeah the new RX3 is going to be based on the new mx-5 chassis but with a steel roof. And it's gonna have a 13B in it. That'll be so sweet. Also if anyone has the new motor magazine they have this small section about the new mx-5 versus a boxter at a racetrack and the mx-5 carry's just as much corner speed as the porsche. Great little car.
  8. Fuel Economy - I get about 500 km out of a tank but thats with pretty timid driving Defects - What do you mean? How hard do they go - Pretty bloody good stock my dad was amazed at the pulling power it has in the top gears. Plenty of torque which helps. Are they reliable - I reackon they are, they are well bolted together mines done about 49,000 km's and there is only two squeakes in it. Then engine is really smooth and the gearbox is typical nissan. What to look out for when buying one - Make sure the suspension isn't shagged, look for any accident repairs, get a compression test done, just the usual How many kw's stock - They are 206kw stock and off the top of my head about 340 nm of torque that figure may be a bit high. Go harder than a wrx - They do i've beat wrx's but alot of it is down the the driver. Roomy inside - Yes the front seats are good i have a good amount of room in the drivers seat and i'm about 6'2, passenger side is also really nice and roomy. The back seats though forget about it, they are next to useless, but why would you want a full load of people in a nice car like that? Are they hard to work on - Not really just standard skyline fair parts tend to be a bit more expensive as there aren't as many of them out there compared to the r32's and r33's but if you've modded a performance car before it's fairly simple. What turbo they run stock - I can't remember off the top of my head at all just that they don't really like more than 12 - 14 psi as higher than that and they like to shit themselves. Any other questions just ask i'm sure fellow owners will be able to help you out.
  9. Yeah you can get insurance i had already organised it all with just cars and when the car arrived here (with no plates) i got my permit for it and rang them up and told them the details of it and then i could drive it insured till the plates arrived. So you should be able to ring them when you get it and give them the rego and it should all be good.

  11. My friend had one and they are not overly quick in stock form. They weigh a far bit cos of all the gadgets like electic seat for the driver and stuff. Also there aren't a huge amount of performace parts for them out there and the one's you can get are fairly expensive. Still they are a nice car to drvie. 4WD is nice and safe and they are nice and comfortable. If your bro is into them he should get one. Just take your time and don't settle for any old one. Find the one he really wants.
  12. Great thanks for your help. I've ordered one now.

  17. Hi everyone. Does anyone know a good car interior place that could repaint parts of my interior? I have an R34 down here in victor harbor and around the gearboot and the power window switches the coating has started to wear off and just show plastic. I wanna get it fixed asap cos it's starting to annoy me. Also any idea on cost and wheather they could do the original colours would be appreciated. Thanks.
  18. Hi i am currently looking at purchasing these matts for my r34 2 door http://page11.auctions.yahoo.co.jp/jp/auction/n24856952 But the auction says they are for a 4 door but they look to me as though they will fit in a 2 door. Can anyone be sure or has tried this? Also looking at the drivers side mat in the picture i looks a little different to mine down the lefthand side. Mine starts out wider out the bottom veers in to the right a little in goes straight up. The one in the picture looks a little different. Help would be greatly apreciated. Just found these pics http://page2.auctions.yahoo.co.jp/jp/auction/b57975853 These are the ones i have.
  19. How do you guys in your late teens and early twenty's get such good quotes? I'm with just car insurance and i've got an R34 GT-t and it's costing me 2900 a year. I've never crashed anything or claimed for anything. And the best they will do next year is move me down to a rating 5 which is about 20 percent off my current premium.
  20. If anyone has the following parts for sale i would like to hear from you. R34 2 door power window switch for drivers and passangers side. Plastic part that surounds gearstick. Thanks Wanted in good condition. Reason is mine are fairly scratched up.
  21. All i did was go to the victor cop shop and they found the vin number and engine number. They filled out a form then i had to go to goolwa to the registration place and they finialised everything. Then the plates came in the mail.
  22. I bought my car from a dealer in queensland. It's a 98 R34 GT-t and all i had to do when it was here was take it to the police and get them to find the chassis number and engine number and then take a piece of paper to the registration place in Goolwa (i live in victor harbor) I got my car shipped with toll and will never use them again i got a nice dent between the door and the wheel arch and they wouldn't accept my claim. Gonna cost me about 800 to fix. So yeah hope it helps.
