  1. Xmas bump. $1500. Get yourself some fast.
  2. love this thread more and more.
  3. So i ended up pulling the motor out. it wasnt exactly difficult but required a series of smaller jobs. will be getting looked at by a workshop who has looked after me in the passed so all good there. in relation to the engine bay, ill be giving it a thorough clean up and changing the steering column bush (just for the hell of it). is there anything else i should do in the engine bay while the motor is out?
  4. Tomei ARMS Turbos B7660 Hi All, Looking to go a different way with the turbo setup. These came fitted to the car when I purchased it and they are great turbos. On stock fuel and ecu setup the car ran 12.5 @ 110mph with a soft launch and about 1 bar of boost. Specs are as follows: Compressor Wheel: 60 Trim Compressor Housing: .42 A/R Turbine Wheel: 76 Trim Turbine Housing: .64 A/R Condition: used but in 100% working order when removed, have no shaft play or damage to blades These bolt to the standard manifold and elbows. They even also use the standard oil and what lines making them a real bolt on mod. Im sure 1 bar of boost is not even tickling these turbos, with a tune and more boost they can make for a great street setup. These turbos were almost 5k when new! I also have XForce dumps and a stainless steel front pipe to suit. Exhaust mates up to a factory type cat/position. Happy to include these in the sale if the price is right. Asking $1700
  5. Trust/Greddy Engine Oil Block Adapter Type E Hi All, Item: Grex Engine Oil Block Adapter - Type E Part (3/4x16UNF center bolt) I am making a change to my oil cooler setup hence I am selling my oil cooler block. This bolts onto your original oil filter relocation and has an internal thermostat. The oil filter i used after fitting this block was a Ryco Z442. Has caps that can be taped for fittings. AN10 fittings for hoses. i have -12 fittings for this block available at an extra cost if needed. Condition: used but mint. was on the car for 500km max and works perfectly. image is a stock photo but you get the idea.comes with everything you see in the pic too. Price $170 posted anywhere in aus.
  6. take no notice of kms. judge each car on its merits Rust and poor collision repair are probably the biggest things. Prepare to correct peoples weird 'mods' from decades of tinkering.
  7. just a side question. do you have a part number for the brake air guides?
  8. just putting it out there. if someone is keen on the tyres only i may be interested in the wheels...
  9. In my opinion, short answer - no. Only use fuel your car tuned on. nothing more, nothing less.
  10. this is awesome. what are the details of the engine? Pm me if you like. thread subbed.
  11. Also getting this. s6 edge using chrome. Thought it was just my phone getting aids.
  12. I was thinking to pull it out with the box. Is it easier to pull the engine out with the box or without?
  13. Precisely what i was thinking, box on.
  14. thanks a lot ill definitely look into it. what is the general consensus on removing the engine. are people pulling it out with the box or without?
  15. i bought the mesh second hand actually, the coating on it was peeling a bit so i peeled off whatever wasnt secure. primed it up and painted it with satin finish black paint from a spray can. i put stacks of coats on so its nice and thick. probably looks so 'crisp' because i polished up the end tanks on the cooler before i refitted the bumper. dont know how everyone else does it but my bar is a mission to take off. i still have the factory brake ducts, guard liners fitted, bolts for the lip as well as everywhere else. basically to fit the mesh its a bumper off job. not something i really want to do too often.
  16. ficken awesome that it has been located!
  17. thanks for your input. pretty much the answer im after. im not looking for a million horsepower, just a tough 26. i have been looking around at bottom end bits but there are so many options. what are people using these days in the way of rods and pistons? is the L19 bolt upgrade necessary? upgraded wrist pins necessary? what questions should i be asking machine shops? anyone know of a decent shop in sydney?
  18. Appreciatethe response. I fully realise my initial post is very basic and there are plenty of variables. Im not even sure what i want yet to be honest. I guess i just wanted to know which way everyone is going with their builds these days. Im not looking to be the fastest and break records or anything just want something thatll handle a bit of boost and abuse.
  19. Built 2.6L There are a few thread around regarding built engines. Most threads i found are a few years old. Are people making decent power on built 2.6s or is everyone just going 3L now? i would prefer to stay 2.6, my thought process is build a 2.6 with great parts instead of an average 3L. also the 2.6 is an easier in out job as opposed to 3L. whats the verdict? what is everyone doing these days?
  20. 2k max. That car needs 1 of everything. Basically worth the id tags.
  21. If its happening under braking your rotors are warped. Replacements are cheap enough these days.
  22. What are the midori ones worth? Is custom made an option?
  23. mother of..........
  24. This car keeps getting better and better. Well done! Didnt you buy a single turbo kit... i want to see the progress in that lmao
