Hi, Ok this is really frustrating me.. Only started happening about 2 - 3 days ago. When i turn on my headlights, my front left light seems to turn on at random times. For example if i turn on my headlights fully, my parkers will turn on, then only the right headlight turns on. I'll turn them off, then turn them back on, then both headlights will come on.. Turn em off and back on again, and then only right side.. Its like the headlight just turns on whenever it feels like it. Sometimes my front right doesnt turn off and my front left does. Any ideas? Could it be my battery or something? I've done heaps of fiddling with all the connections and still havent found anything..

Sorry if this has been asked before. I've done a search and found a bunch of varying answers so i thought the best way to get an answer more applicable to me is to post the question myself. I have an R32 GTST with the following mods: Hybrid FMIC Full Turbo back exhaust Air Filter EBC What kind of boost can i afford to run without killing my turbo and/or engine? I have an EBC which has the "Self learning mode" and it has learned my boost with those mods at 0.75 BAR. However I'm inclined to think it can run more - how much more is the question. Cheers.

yeah it's all good, picked some up yesterday.. i thought they were more complicated than just "metal brackets" cheers. mods close the thread if u want.

hey folks, after some mounting brackets for my FMIC on my r32. Need them for the top of the core, as i already have the bottom ones. Cheers.

xRHETTx - i'm pretty sure rating 4 is 30%.. coz rating 6 is 0, rating 5 is 20%.. BL01 - hmmm if thats the case then i'll keep calling back to see how i go.

Yep i have a good 3 weeks before i need to renew so i shall keep calling em.. Just hope i dont get the same person twice who recognises me...

RellikZypher - yeah i know its damn expensive.. i have no idea how others get such cheap premiums.. Mines very lightly modded and i have a clean driving record... Boostzor - Yep when i called back i even omitted a detail... I didnt tell them i also had a boost guage.. and this seemed to increase the premium? .. go figure.. Well i guess i'll keep calling back then.. Any tips on gettin a lower quote? Do you guys declare EVERYTHING on to the insurers? Even piddly little things.. like boost guages or tinted windows? I mean obivously its the moral thing to do.. but how will they know otherwise?

Hey, As i am in the process of renewing my insurance premium, i have been trying to shop around for some decent quotes. After doing my research on the various jap import forums it seems as though insurance companies (namely Just Cars) give out somewhat "arbitrary" or "random" quotes. Now i use this term loosely because i'm sure its based on some criteria.. But i am 19, 93 R32 GTST with usual mods - exhaust, pod, kit, EBC, lowered and boost guage.. I am also on a rating 4 NCB which is 30% and my renewal has been quoted at $2941. Whats the go with this? I've read around where others are driving similar cars (R33's or the like) same age, same details.. have theirs for under 2K. So in light of this i decided to ring Just Cars again and ask for a quote (posing as a new customer) with the same car. Got quoted 3002. To me, it seems as though as long as i'm willing to call heaps and get a whole bucketload of quotes i'll eventually get a reasonable one.

if ur willing to hold off driving it at night for a ltitle bit try ebay.. that place has everything

hey mate, i also have a HKS EVC III.. in "green mode" the unit is essentially off and you are running stock boost.. it still displays the vacuum though. What you wanna do is put it into self learn mode to get it to "learn" ur boost curve.. and then it'll set it's own "stock boost" setting based on ur mods. to adjust boost just press the power button to get the orange/red backlight.. and u can fiddle with the high/low buttons.. there are several different modes and i am yet to figure out the significant difference between them all.. i just use the first orange/red mode that comes up when u cycle through. i've got the manual in english sitting round on my comp at home. PM me if u want it. I'm at work atm so i cant get it to u just yet. hope this helps dude.

Spotted FUR-10Z getting off the M4 at the church street/auto alley off ramp last night.. Also spotted "R34" - think this is R34NOS.. reverse parked next to somr import dealership near Burwood.. Some dude was closing the gates to the car dealership - this wasnt you was it?

hey mate.. i'm in the same position as you.. i've gotten some other quotes though, try unigroup @ girraween.. they quoted me about 50 - 60 per hour.. takes about 5 - 6 hours.. and try sonny and kemp at ultra tune in smithfield.. Theyre on nissansilvia.com - go to the new south wales forum and there should be a sticky thread called INTERCOOLER PIPING or something like that. check that out and send em a PM cheers.

Rukus - was that you on friday the 2nd (i think it was friday) at the intersection of seven hills road and James cook drive? I think it was in the arvo.. i was in the gunmetal grey R32 turning into James cook drive. It was a blue r32 GTR and i only saw you at the last minute..

Not that i've done this before.. ...honest.. i wanted to know what would happen if i used 92 or 93 Octane (whatever regular is) in a turbo car which is tuned for at least 95 octane... Are the consequences really that bad?

I've actually read that in the fuel tank there is a little sensor knob thingy.. and when it drops past a certain point the fuel light comes on. Bear in mind, if u are on any sort of incline the fuel in the tank is obivously in a different state as well because of our friend mr gravity. So what you'll notice is that if you are facing downhill, it may seem like u have MORE fuel in the tank (negligible) and if u are facing uphill, the car will think u have LESS fuel in the tank because the all the fuel has shifted to the one end of the fuel tank, and the sensor has passed it's 'low fuel' point meaning ur light comes on. Hope this helps dude.
