Hi, Just had a couple of questions on intercoolers.. 1) What are the differences between tube & fin and bar & plate? 2) What would you reccommend for an r32 GTST? (intending to do turbo upgrade later as well) 3) How much would it cost all up including fitting and piping kit? 4) What is the difference between air to air and water to air? I'm considering an r32 GTR FMIC.. i've read the other post about GTR FMIC's and Hybrids.. what other brands do you guys recommend? Thanks guys.

Hi, I understand the fronts in an R32 are 6"x 4".. i'm not really the handyman.. and dont have the tools or anything, so i wanted to know whether 5" would fit? 6" i believe i need a spacer.. and 4" is too small.. so 5" i guess i'd be pretty content. Thanks.

Hi, I've searched and searched for this coz i suspected it would have been posted before.. but i couldnt find anything.. sorry if it is a repost. I'm located in West Sydney.. not as far as penrith.. around the blacktown area. Can anyone reccommend a good, reputable, cheap place to get an FMIC fitted? I also have a GTR front bar i would like to put on.. i'm assuming this will probably have to be done at the same time as well.. (if i want to save money) I've been considering UAS.. any suggestions?

Sorry i'm like a major n00b.. where abouts would i find that? How come you think that could be what the problem is? If the unit is not grounded.. doesnt that mean that the circuit isnt complete and hence the unit wouldnt work at all?

Hey guys, Thanks for all your help.. I managed to reset the EBC, do the self learn thingy which set the boost at .76 bar When i use the adjustment mode (by Pressing Mode Only once) and set it to .80 bar it still boosts to .76 bar. I also tried boosting to .85 bar but once the needle on the guage goes up to .8ish the needle just goes haywire and pivots back anf forth really quickly.. At this point i can also hear the induction of the air from the turbo in bursts which coincide with the needle on the guage... Any suggestions? Also - just curious, what happens if you set the EBC to an internal (external) wastegate if your car actually has an external (internal) wastegate?

Yeah i was on burns road/memorial ave heading towards sunnyholt rd. saw a black car turn onto sunnyholt from old windsor then saw the stove burner lights, the high GT wing and the thinner number plate "thats DHC right there" was waiting for my damn lights to turn green so i could catch up to u..

Reset mode? Sorry i wasnt aware there was a reset mode.. how exactly do i get that?

Yeah I bought it with the car.. Thanks guys, i've found the instructions from the HKS website.. will be calibrating it this weekend, so hopefully it goes well.. just wanted to know why it kept doing what it did.. guess its not coz its properly calibrated.

Does anyone own one of these? Does anyone know how to use it properly? Whenever i turn mine on, and set it to .9 bar or even 1 bar boost, the turbo ALWAYS goes over the set amount. Whereas if it is off, the turbo happily spools up to .8bar and stays at .8bar. I dont know why if i set it .9bar it wont stay at .9bar.. instead it'll go up to .9bar, then over.9bar and then the needle on my boost guage goes a little crazy till it starts beeping at me.

From what i saw it looked like a GTR. Regardless, its was damn hot!

Hi everyone, Anyone else have this problem? Or know how to fix it? when i turn on my washer jets, the front RHS (when sitting in the car) works only. I dont even think my rear winshield one works.

Is it possible to put a t28bb onto an rb20det? If so, would it be better than the rb25turbo? Sorry, i must be a dumbass.. i still dont really understand the role of the actuator.. i understand that it regulates boost.. but i dont understand how the rb25 one is better than the rb20 one. How do they differ?

Hi, What exactly is the actuator's role? I'm also interested in upgrading my turbo to the RB25det one.. what kind of turbo is it exactly? How much would it cost one to upgrade to an rb25 turbo, FMIC and the rb25 actuator?

Ohh ok.. but why does it go over even when its set to 1 bar? i never have it on 1 bar, i jsut set it on that to test out the EBC. I'm usually on .8bar with pod, exhaust. Only time i'd go over this would be on cold nights where the air is already cooled for me - is this safe?
