  1. I can't afford a new motor upfront, and already had half the stuff anyway. It's going to be stock as. What do you suggest I do to add on it? Not looking for power, just want a nice reliable driver. No hard launches etc on the stock motor. I WILL build a monster eventually, RB30 block, etc. I was thinking Genuine parts rebuild like I am doing. But should I put the restrictor in with the stock pump and stock sump?
  2. Very true. But is it worth running the GTR on the street for normal driving with the restrictor and extended sump? Do I need an upgraded pump if I do put the restrictor in? Will it screw up the engine if it is not a built motor?
  3. The restrictor is not going into this motor. This GTR is getting rebuilt stock. Just so she runs and looks good. The restrictor is part of the "I'm going to build a power house when I am not poor anymore." engine project. lol But if I do build a solid engine it's going to comprise of this: NISMO oil pump. TOMEI metal gasket kit. 33 crank. ARP main studs and head studs. ACL big end kit. Tomei sump baffle. Poncam Series 2. Adjustable cam gears Full HKS turbo kit + manifold etc. Basically a standard 450 whp build. I wont build it though. I can fix stuff, but I can't do all the gapping, etc that specialised engine builders can. Scared of busting my hard earned cash. Rather let croydon racing do the hard work. lol
  4. Full gasket kit arrived. Just in case. da fool who don't have one! It's a piece of art. Magnetic sump plug. heehee. :-D And some extra's... And.
  5. BUY A ROTARY. hahahahahahahaha. /Serious. 1100 kilo RX7 with 300hp at the wheels for under 10 k. 80's model, S2 or S3. Will blow your socks off. And sits between Falcon 4l six and Commo 7 litre V8 in terms of fuel economy. Best of both worlds! HAHAHA. Serious, get a rotor or do what others have said and fork out for a 450-500 whp RB25/30 build from Croydon, just under 10 K will get you the assembled run-in motor for your R34.
  6. Nah I don't have the ceramic stuff. If I do change their colour though - I'm thinking about gunmetal/silver. To suit the rest of the car.
  7. Mine used to start and run.HAHHAHAA
  8. Anyone seen RBL-33T lately? I miss my first Skyline. :-( It's a grey '32 GTS-T Type M
  9. Anyone wanna decode this for me? All the numbers and letters except RB26DETT and BRN32 don't make much sense and the VIN decoder program thingo says "CAR DOESN'T EXIST." lol.. Also - I made a friend. Oh wait, no I didn't. MUHAHAHAHA! How she sits after only and hour and a half of disassembly tonight. Was busy all arvo. :-( Only got time from 8pm to 9:30. Passenger headlight is only held in by one bolt. The black cylinder (fuel filter?) behind the headlight needs to be pulled out before I can go further there. Stood back a bit after the Redback decided to freak me out, so didn't get the front bar off, only has 4 or so bolts left before it comes off. Waiting til Sunday, getting up early to continue stripping it. Just Jap stuff is paid for, should be on it's way. In the mean time I can clean and delete excess junk. Like aircon. HICAS. Power steering. (maybe..) Also - never seen this on anyone's GTR IRL before, most get rid of it. Mine is in mint nick, so I'm leaving it on. Oh and "DRIFT SPEC YO!" Anyone wanna sell me a Passenger front indicator? lol
  10. You're on page 13 mate. You gotta keep going or you just wasted forum space for nothing!
  11. Hey guys - I've seen wrinkle black engines, plenums, pipes, etc. So I'm doing that. Follows with my industrial Black theme. Wondering something - has anyone done wrinkle pain on their brake calipers? I reckon it would look cool done as wrinkle black with white faced letters. But it might be a bit much. Anyone?
  12. Nice thread barge guys. LOL. Anyway, ordered some neato stuff off just jap, and bought some pressies from them too, such as D1 open ended nuts, NISMO keychain, NISMO shifter knob. Plus repair/rebuild/maintenance parts.
  13. Was the '33 sporting black rims with red striped lips?
  14. That sucks hard mate. :-( Hope it all gets sorted. Congrats on the Baby Girl to be though. :-)
  15. haha, I don't like shiny sh!t. They look good. But I like black.. and brushed surfaces, chrome isn't my thing. Well - because I'm lazy I will be keeping my '26. If I had an engine crane I'd be doing an RB30 build. HAHAHAHAHAHA. Goodluck man, can't wait to see vids. ;-)
  16. Mine runs. Just don't wanna break it further. :-| Anyway - started stripping, gonna make a coles run and grab ziplock bags with the white patch on them and a black marker so I can keep my bolts and stuff sorted.. lol
  17. I like the twins. So they are staying. Besides - Twins = more sack time. :-P She's up on jack stands tonight, floating like the heavy fat b***h she is. That's as far as I got though - Had to help a mate with his WRX.
  18. White R33 GTS-T at Bob Jane Hornsby today, getting rear tyres, yellow plates. Call out if it was you. :-)
  19. Well that point I can see. Better than driving a Rent-A-Cr@p. lol
  20. Hey guys, looking for an RB26 with or without ancillaries that I can start building up for my GTR. Either that - or does anyone have an RB30 Block suitable for a 30/26 swap? Not looking for anything expensive. Just as long as it hasn't spun the big end, if it has - then yeah cr@p happens, but I'll need a smiley face sticker to make me happy. Anyway - if anyone has a complete running RB26 they wanna sell cheap, or an RB30 block (suitable for road use.. no filled drag blocks please..haha) please PM me, or post here. I'm in Hornsby, willing to pay an extra $150 on top if anyone wants to bring it around if they are relatively close by. /Kinda don't have a ute.
  21. My STOCK '32 has a decent Twin plate in it. Tad bitey, but thanks to being low release - I ain't gonna fry it by revving through the engagement zone. Unlike my Subaru.
  22. Overall - Brakes, seat trim, shifter knobs, steering wheels, tyres (they're important, or some cramspag like that - someone told me once I think), tail light bulbs - for all the braking you'll be doing, will wear 'em out too, CLUTCH PEDAL RUBBER - that's important too - that's a defectable one! :-O Clutch. Gearbox. Diff. CV joints. Oh and rego - that wears out quickly too, and that one is expensive.
  23. :-D It's already in Pieces in my garage. haha. New donk on the way. :-)
  24. Best advice I ever got. "Ship it to Croydon Racing Developments in Parramatta" 550 reliable horses for 9,800 bucks. And they are providing all the parts, including motor. Good luck with your case mate. Hope those tw@ts get what they deserve.
