Cheers Formaly s13drifter. Hopefully one of these years i can buy one of your sump adapter plates to make my dream come true! I might be picking up an RB30 with a blown head gasket for rather cheap this weekend. I heard they come with the holes already tapped just with bolts in them? But it was only the VL's that didnt.

Anyone registered/engineered an RB30DET? is it a legal or illegal conversion to put an RB30 block with a RB26/25 head into an R32 GTS-T which came out with the RB20DET? Last thing i want to do is do the conversion the get defected and have to fork out shit loads. Anyone have friends who go the "original new block from nissan with BYO block number" route? Hi, If one was to obtain the series 1 RB30 block without the holes already drilled and tapped for the turbo oil and water lines. How much work is required to do them? Is it a hard job basically? Anyone done it before and had success? Thanks for your time, Scribble

Hi does anyone know the laws on where an exhaust has to exit on a car? I have heard it can be anywhere after the rear doors. I have seen utes etc with the exhaust that runs up through the tray, behind the cab and look like truck exhausts sticking up above the roof. Does anyone know the laws regarding exhaust's? Do you know if there up to nissan standard?

If its an RB26 plenum it wont fit on anything, bar the rb26, without expensive mods.

I only saw it in the ordering book but it looked beefy as and had extra supports at the bottom though. Twas red. I think im going to go for the repco one. It will be holding the engine for a looong time

So i 520kg stand could support an RB30DET with a GTR sump you think? or am i pushing it??

I was quoted one from a mate at repco for about $250 and that was a heavy duty one down from like $370. Went to super cheap and they had one rated at 520kg ($159) and another at 450kg ($109). Not sure on how accurate those ratings would be though. On a bit of a budget so supercheap might be the way to go <_< Also what size bolts are used on the bell housing/stand? and what type should they be? high tensile? Thanks for all the help

What approx weight would an RB30DET weigh? Im looking at getting an engine stand this w/e but not sure on what rated weight i should get. Any tips? Thanks for your time, Scribble

Im interested to know from people who have one what the advantages of a front LSD in a GTR or GTS4 are? Is it a handeling thing? I understand what an LSD does and why its benificial in a RWD car but whats there purpose in the front? n00b question

I had this happen on my car before. A slight spot of hesitation. First time it turned out to be the fuel pump screwing itself over. Second time it was more intermitent and after 3 times on the auto spark's diagnostic machine it turned out to be bad earthing Go figure.

Im aware of that but 101 pages is alot to go through just to eventually peice together a few builds. I thought it would be easier for people just to state their build here. What pistons they used etc..
