  1. I think the Porsche 911 GT2 now holds that record at 7min 44sec.
  2. Is that all-day parking up there, or do you have to shuffle your funky Nizmobile around every few hours ?
  3. Nice! I think I've seen your car on my way up to Dumas House a few times (and left drool marks all over the place! )
  4. The price of GT-R's and GTS-T's will keep dropping slowly over time. Remember, a car is a depreciating liability, not an asset! (unless you happen to own a Ferrari F40 for example). Have a look at this . I think that pretty much sums it up!
  5. Hehe, working for DoIR, eh ? Well, you might see me loitering around the 7th floor occasionally when I come up there to do IT "work"! (normally I'm just down the terrace working for a large IT company) My avatar really says it all...
  6. Bwahahahaha... superb !!! :bahaha: :bahaha: :bahaha:
  7. Hi people, I took an R33 for a test drive on the weekend and had it stall on me as I was about to pull into the driveway of the dealership (the car was in neutral at the time as I was about to change gears). The revs just dropped and that was it - power steering went hard as hell and I'm just glad I wasn't going any faster into the corner! I did a search about this in the forum and other people seem to have reported it too. My question is; is this a common problem with Skylines and is it an indication of a faulty vehicle ? How many of you also have this problem and have you managed to fix it ? I certainly wouldn't want to buy a car that'd stall everytime the revs drop! (I might as well drive a Windows PC then that just reboots every now and then! ) Cheers, EXIT
  8. Here's some info about NOS.
  9. Hehe... good questions 25GTT - I was actually pondering those too! As far as I know, NOS can damage your engine and can also decrease engine life because you are putting it under a lot more stress (just like increasing boost to very high levels I guess). Having said that, getting a system installed that only gets used occasionally and with low shots of NOS you should be fine and it'd be a whole lotta fun!!! (plus if your engine goes, it should be fairly spectacular! ) Cheers, EXIT
  10. Does anyone know of any good places in Perth that supply & install dry Nitrous systems ? Cheers!
  11. U2 :Dj:
  12. Excellent pics, Franz !!!
  13. Bwahahahahaha - That car is HOT!!! What's she run the 1/4 in ??? (i'm guessing low 10's, but since it's a TypeR, prolly high 9's ???) :bahaha:
  14. Hehe... yeah, I know what you mean. I just spent a load of cash on a 15m Nismo limestone wall, but the house just won't run the 1/4 mile any quicker. I'm hoping that the 3" stainless gutter and hi-flow stormwater drain will add a bit of zip though! Wouldn't waste my money on those new Mugen garage doors though - that's just pure rice...
  15. Aw man, that sucks! Seems nothing is safe in the world anymore, least of all your own home. Can't believe they got into your house without you hearing a thing - did you leave a window open ? Lucky though that you are ok - guess it could have been a lot worse if they'd turned violent or something. Hope they find your ride soon!
  16. Yeah, overall the driving standard over there is much higher than in Oz. If you want to go fast, just go on the Autobahn. People generally behave themselves in urban areas. Getting your license over there is a LOT harder than here + the cars have to pass the TUV on a regular basis to be declared roadworthy. I think the TUV inspectors would have a heart attack if they saw some of the crap cars that drive around here!
  17. Hmmm... I'm not too sure where you get your facts from: Autobahns in Germany have a speed limit of 130 in quite a lot of areas now (mainly built-up areas & near major turnpikes etc.) That didn't stop the Taxi I was in from going 180 though! I'm not sure how bad the Hume is, but the Autobahns I was on were in excellent condition. Otherwise we wouldn't have been going 220 in a Porsche. Traffic fines vary with the severity of the offence and their points system is quite elaborate: - after losing 8 points you must attend a driver's refresher course. - get 18 points and lose your license for 6 months! Germany's road toll is (unfortunately) also higher than 2 people per year. Big accidents on the Autobahn's in winter can sometime claim over 10 people in one hit.

    R35 GT-R Article

Here's an interesting article on the new GTR.
  19. Hmmm... well, I voted yes... afterall, someone has to be on the "B Team"!
  20. Yeah, that's fair enough - for events it should be 'lines only. For all the other stuff (cruises, bbq's, booze-ups) everyone should be allowed to join in. Since I haven't got a 'line yet either... Go the B Team !!! :uh-huh:
  21. Would you HAVE to own a Skyline to join the club, or will other import cars be accepted ? Just thought I'd ask since there are a few people on the boards who don't actually own a Skyline, but enjoy the chats and would probably also join the club. I know that this would detract from it being a Skylines WA club, but it may help increase the member numbers.
  22. Eeek! I'm in Willetton. My neighbour's car was broken in just the other day (no grace or attempts to be quiet here - they just smashed the driver's side window!) and now I'm all paranoid, esp. with reports of that kinda thing going on. Grrrrr...
  23. DOH!!! Bummer dude - I presume you've tried every insurance company under the sun... Even Famous won't touch you ???
  24. Holy crap! That sucks bigtime - lucky you and your car are both ok! What suburb are you in ? Hmmm... time to invest in 2 large, hungry Rottweilers I think!
