  1. Here's a sequence shot of the blue Silvia - pity the last shot's exposure was a bit wobbly, otherwise it would have looked better!
  2. Yeah, I think he got a bit too carried away with this whole burnout thing. True, the guys at the PAS motorkhana did let it rip after they missed a turn or lost it, but hey - that's what people like to see! Norbert having a go at you for your sideways style is a bit harsh though! Afterall, this ain't "Driving Miss Daisy" now, is it!
  3. Yeah, that was me - I climbed up into the little tower thingy after those other young guys vacated it. Nice view of the bottom corner - just wish the zoom on my camera were a bit longer though. Blue Silvia, eh ? Was this you after the lawn-mowing excursion ?
  4. Haha! You go told off too ? Naughty, naughty! I saw Norbert going off at that dude in the red/orange Torana for doing "burnouts" - I don't know what he was on about because the guy wasn't really doing anything wrong! (i.e. he wasn't doing deliberate 360's or anything) Why were you told off ?
  5. DOH! My apologies - I meant Sunday the 24th! Anyway, went down at 9am and they were still going through the driver's briefs...er, driver briefing. Had a bit of a wander around to check out the cars and only saw two 'lines (GT-R's). There was also a VERY nice little Lotus toy down there - one of only two in Australia (see link below). After the mandatory safety speech, Norbert's (the organiser) rant about NOT doing any burnouts and the track walk-through, racing finally got underway at 10am. As always, results were a mixed bag; a few drivers got in some very impressive times, while others squished lots of cones! Must admit, the courses looked easy on paper, but when you're looking at one from a driver's perspective, all you see is a sea of orange cones! Well done to those that managed to get through the track as intended!
  6. Anyone going down to watch/compete in the motorkhana at Belmont Park on Sunday ? The action starts at 9am! Should be fun! :burnout:
  7. And one more...
  8. "Just mowin' da lawn..."
  9. Went up to Barbagello's today to watch the boys from C-Red Tuning thrash their cars around the track. Good show! There was plenty of drift action as well as some non-drift "lawn-moving" excursions off the track! Here are some pics:
  10. LOL! Might be a good idea to at least obscure the license plates though...
  11. This was a bit odd: Was driving home last night at 1am along Albany Hwy (60 zone) doing 75 when I noticed a car coming up behind me in the right lane. Didn't think much of it, and kept going. After a while, the car changed into the left lane, came up beside me and that's when I realised it was a copper! Doh! I was still going 75 and was waiting for him to pull me over, but he just slowly accelerated and drove off... Phew! (guess he just couldn't be bothered or maybe he was on his way home) Weird how sometimes you get nailed for just doing 6 over and other times (eg. 120-something on Old Coast Road!) they do nothing! Anyone else been let off the hook ?
  12. LOL!
  13. Yup, that was the guy - Chris Mills did all the mods for him. In terms of mods, all you could really see was the blue bottle in the boot and two braided lines going into the air-box, that was it. A very nice setup!
  14. Went down to the Motorplex yesterday to have a look at the Commodore / HSV club meet. They had some quite nice cars there and some damn fast ones too! (quite a few running 12's) There was also one white GTR down there running mid 13's (anyone from here ?) and a stock bug-eyed Rex. Would have been nice to see more Jap cars there for comparison/competition! The nicest car there (IMO) was a black Grange which was eating most other cars. Spoke to the owner in the pits, had a peek under the bonnet and in the boot and after seeing the blue bottle, everything became clear... Is NOS, is good!
  15. Hehe... if anyone asks you what you'd like for Christmas (apart from an R34 GTR), tell them to have a look here: Goodies
  16. What the...??? ... the front doesn't look aggressive anymore, the rear is stumpy and from the side it looks a bit like a Porsche! Gimme a BMW M3 instead ! :uh-huh:
  17. Might pop down tomorrow night for a look - anyone here going, or is Saturday the night to go ? :burnout: Sigh... if I had a faster car, I'd actually give it a go (unless running 17's is acceptable *cough* *cough* )
  18. Hehe... that's ok - we're just a sensitive lot here! Now, if you'd said you'd wanted the same flared wheel-arches as those on the BMW M3 god-machine... [drool, drool!!!]
  19. Eeek!!! Everytime I see flares like that, I get Torana / SLR5000 flash-backs... shudder!
  20. OUCH !!!
  21. Nearly drove off the Narrows Bridge this morning as I was staring at the 4" chrome exhaust hanging off the back of a Volvo! Must have been a Volvo "Type-R", tuned by Nismo or something...
  22. Hmmm... It's events like these that make me wonder whether I should actually still go out and buy a Skyline!
  23. Just go down to Dick Smith and buy a scanner for a couple-a-hundred bucks and off you go! If enough 'liners had scanners, we could organise a Scanner Cruise (11pm-3am - following the crime trail through Perth! )
  24. Nice car, DREMEN! Are you importing this yourself, or via a dealer ? What year is it ? May I ask how much it was ? Cheers, EXIT
  25. Was after a black one, but gunmetal is nice too - how much are you asking ? How fast will it do the 400m ? (whaddayamean "I've never raced it!" )
