strange, dont think anyones mentioned Fujiya in the city, Level 1, 605 George St, (entrance on Goulburn St)
good food, great range, and they have huge tables which is awesome for large gatherings, price wise its not the cheapest but its not too bad.
the top hose is generally the water coming out of the engine, so its a better representation of internal water temps. where as the bottom is water coming out of the radiator, which has been cooled.
I used to be into these, where I was younger, I had a RWD one with FETs extra battery and faster motor, thing used to drift.
generally hobby stores are abit expensive,
I used to order all my stuff from hk or us. was cheaper, cant remember where from tho
edit, ausmicro sell ready sets

I was referring to the original post about using parker globes in the dash cluster.
If you have a look back I actually wrote the original article about putting LEDs into climate controls.
you've got to be careful with bigger globes, as they draw more current, when I got my digital cluster in the 180 fixed, the repairman warned me about the wattage of the globes I had in there and that there was a risk of damage and or fire.
Ive had one for about a year and used it on the street and the track
most people wire them to the handbreak for launch.
but I wired it to a clutch switch, basically it means I can keep my right foot on the floor, when upshifting, I just clutch in, limiter kicks in and cuts the revs down to 4500 or whatever, drop the clutch and be right in the powerband
whether its a benefit or not I dont really know, I dont think its nessesary
but its fun
what concerns me is whether it will cause damage to the turbo.
Ive got a nice expensive one going on and the last thing i want to do is destroy it.
I did the kaaz run in proceedure, make sure u change the oil afterwards too.
have fun, after 30min of constant figure 8s I felt like i was going to throw up for the next 2hrs
this may sound like a stupid idea and might cause more tuning issues, but what about mounting the afm after the turbo?
then the rejected air from the compressor can do whatever it wants.
I ended up using a small peice of pvc pipe to temporarily join 2 air hoses between IAC(I think?) and the cooler piping, and suprise suprise it melted
I totally forgot about it and didnt replace it with metal, on a full track day it only lasted a few hours before the thing melted and warped.
DON'T USE PVC PIPE its ghetto and wont hold.
although saga look good, the new Stri DSD range at advan in sydney look abit better, the reason I say is that the have ones which arent that crappy smoked look. which can be annoying in the daytime.
they have much the same features, memory and recall and all that, and the guy at advan said they would range from about $85 to $150, Id be interested in the accuracy
theres going to be reviews in a major car mag soon im told
the only function that they lack, as far as I can tell is the option for an external warning feature like a buzzer.
has anyone tried these?

ok my bad.. ive worked with composites alot before, Ive seen some pretty good overlays, I never knew about the dipping stuff.
apologies for mouthing off.
cough*
A tip Id recommend that I wrote in my original article on LED climate control lights, is to lightly scruff up the LED to mist it up, it will help dissipate light more evenly.
the original article has been relocated here:

there is no such thing as carbon dipping, you cant dip something in cloth.... grrr
they stick a layer or two of carbon ontop of the original peice, then a few coats of gel coat, then clear coat and polish it up
its called "carbon overlay" and there is no dipping involved.
