  1. got a service manual? itll tell you how.
  2. its still not quite there yet, I have to re route power to accessories aswell and do some more testing...
  3. at the end of the day, a remap and a pfc do the same thing...
  4. Mines ECUs are just standard remaps. The chips are EPROMs, and can be edited with normal software, but are usually glued down and therefore making it virtually impossible to remove the chip without destroying the chip and the ecus board. They are pretty much useless for Australian cars, as pretty much all the ones we see here came from jap imports so they are tuned for jap fuel, and you often don't know what mods they have been tuned for. you will make better power with a remap dyno tune to your car with its specific mods running Aussie fuel.
  5. its a resistor. 5c from jaycar
  6. dont know if this will help but on my s13 my idle was staying high, I coudlnt find any air leaks and I replaced the aac + air reg, but it did not fix the problem In the end I found out that my TPS idle switch was not activating. maybe have a quick look at that. There should be continuity between 2 of the pins on the plug, and when you open the throttle it should go open circuit.. mine was not showing continuity, so I looseded the screws and adjusted it and my car now idles normally.
  7. jaycar have a kit to build one.
  8. them easiest best way is to run a $40 pressure switch, so it actives at a set boost level. the water has to be atomised into a fine mist, and you have to take care in ensuring you are running correct water to fuel ratios, or you'll hydro lock your motor.. you're looking at about $300 - $400 for a proper DIY setup But yeah as R31Nismoid said. It has been covered before in the past.
  9. I get pulled over all the time for no reason, they always just breath test me ask me what im doing then let me go.
  10. Id prefer sydney buyers.. still for sale people I have switched the cracked harness hole so its no longer visible, oh and those pictures came out abit grey, they are actually quite black, as shown in the close up pic of the FIA stamp
  11. you could always relocate the canister to make room, on my s13 I thought mine had been removed, but it had been relocated to inside the passenger side guard, and I can only get to it by taking the front bar off. so its out of the way of my cooler piping..
  12. just for you information, there is no "dipping" invloved in carbon work, the original part is wrapped in carbon, or it is glued on, then it is coated with resin. (either sprayed or brushed) the technical term is carbon overlay.
  13. well I've seen people who have been defected and have had this written on their list, but they were getting dicked for alot of stuff.. I doubt ud get any trouble unless u had alot of shit wrong with ur car and the cop was in a bad mood.
  14. or you get stuck with one arm shorter than the other. like a mate of mine.
  15. garage13 sells the stickers that go on grex gear knobs for $5. just whack one of those near by http://www.garage-13.com/interior.html
  16. any pics of what itd look like?
  17. I did my coil pack cover in cf.. I dont know weather its a good idea, CF does insulate but wouldnt this just trap heat inside? I might cut some vents in it
  18. I dont run aftermarket pedals. I find factory pedals good enough try sitting abit closer, I adjust my seating position in relation to the clutch as your left leg is the one that will get tired as you often have to hold it on the floor, after a while you should get used to the new position..
  19. how does carby cleaner find leaks? does it affect idle or something when you spray it on a vac leak?
  20. ok I am most certain I have fixed mine, I pulled the relay off the PCB and re-routed a voltage source that was trigered by the turbo timers countdown to the relays coil, and ran power straight through the relay. it now shows voltage on the IG wire from the TT when counting down and voltage shuts off when it hits 0. I have yet to test this in my car, or check if I have impeded any of the other functions. (which is not important as it was useless beforehand) but on the bench it seems to be working. I will test it in car on saturday.
  21. Ive had a think about this, Can't I just additionally install a NO relay on the fuel pump feed wire, across where it has been cut to accomodate the alarm? That way the alarm wont cut the fuel pump until the timer has finished counting down.
  22. how crap is the psp this month!. Im not a fan of the dirty brown background.. think its time to customise
  23. heatgun. dont put it too close tho.
