you dont need valves, but you will need to re shim the lifters to suit the new cams. More than likely cams of that size will have a smaller base circle.
if it has solid lifters and fitting the standard cams which may have a larger base circle might be causing the valves to stay open slightly making the cylinders lose compression.. as cube said, check the clearence.
hey mat, you have a new name thing.
I was ment to be going to a private day with V8 owners club but had to pull out due to lack of money. not working doesnt help haha
T3 doesnt really tell you much. If the new turbo is the exact same specs and flows the same amount of air then you shouldnt have to but if the specs are different then you will need a retune.
the GT-RS's are not going to be very responsive, as stated before they are abit large for standard capacity unless your really going to rev it. I take it they will be going onto a built motor?
i have a nismo Gmax twin plate. No noise/ratle from it at all and its nice and easy to use, can slip it abit no worries. was abit on the bitey side when i first put new plates in it but didnt take long to get use to it.
you need to lengthen the wires for the plugs though. I was only after around the 350awkw mark so thats why i used RB20/25 afm's. only cost 70 each and the car makes pretty much 350awkw. they are getting close to readig 5 volts though.
i also tried that but found the front filter to stick up in the air and could not shut the bonnet due to not clearing the blow off valve return pipes. that was with the apexi filters which are longer though.
