Dissapointing

I agree - first lap aside, that was one of the most boring races of the season (bad trend developing here...the last few races have been similar). Highlights of the race... 1) Jenson Button talking up his great race pace in an interview after getting to a fantastic 12th place before retiring (despite the fact that the majority of people he passed were parked in a pit garage) - what an idiot! 2) Next to no mention of Jenson Button during the race. I feel sorry for Webber. The guy is trying hard and clearly outperforming the car and yet he still can't finish a race in that Williams shitbox. It's sad, but Williams are on a fast track to the F1 scrap heap the way they're going - they couldn't even match the pace of the Torro Rosso's during the majority of the race which is just plain embarassing really. I just hope for Webber's sake that he gets a seat with a decent team for next year to allow him to demonstrate his true potential as I doubt Williams will be competitive any time soon (if ever again!).

Isn't it common knowledge that 99.999999% of Rooster's fans only actively support their so-called team when they're consistently winning games...no wonder you couldn't get rid of the ticket Go the EELS!

Sorry to hear of your loss - best of luck getting it back. Not wanting to add insult to injury, but Comprehensive Insurance is a must these days...particular for imports. The amount of Skylines that are getting stolen at the moment is ridiculous

I've just re-read my first post and apologise if it's a little confusing. Just to explain, my car originally blew the fuse in question a few weeks back. I then replaced the fuse and drove around for half a day until it blew again. I replaced the fuse another 2 times, although on both occassions the fuse only lasted approximately 5 or so minutes before blowing the fuse again...at which point, I gave up and asked for help Not sure if I would classify this as an intermittent problem, as it seems pretty constant to me, but I'm no expert, so disregard my opinion in coming to your own conclusions I'm going to disconnect the head unit over the weekend to see if it's causing the problem. Failing that, I'll also disconnect both the clock and climate control to try and ascertain whether either of those accessories are responsible for the problem. If I still can't figure it out (quite likely!), then I'll book the car in to get my mechanic/auto electrician contact to have a look at it - my parts arrived today, so hopefully this issue will be sorted one way or another next week. I'll post up the outcome either way...

Try Autobarn - I think they're the recognised Blitz distributor for Australia

Geez, those SAU drag day photo's have been recycled a few times now...even in different mags Add Twoogle and Silver Gtst (I think?) to the list as well...
-
I'm curious to see how Pedro goes - afterall, he's got nothing to loose and everything to gain (even potentially a race seat for next year ). I think he may raise a few eyebrows...either that, or he'll be another Pizzonia

Thanks for your reply. Given that it doesn't appear that you're interested in purchasing the monitor, I'm at a loss as to why you felt the need to comment though. Just to clarify... I bought the monitor earlier this year, but only used it for a few weeks until I purchased my new PC (since which time, the monitor has been repacked and is now sitting in my wardrobe). I purchased the item through a friend for $325 which was apparently a discounted price at the time. I've checked the ACER website, the current RRP for this monitor is $349 SEE HERE I don't know much about computer hardware, so I've done a quick search on the net and have come up with numerous links below listing similar prices for this monitor: * HyperMall: $309.10 SEE HERE * Tech Buy: $327.65 SEE HERE * Commander Online: $329 SEE HERE * Instant IT: $373.89 SEE HERE * Buy Quick: $377.29 SEE HERE ...there are many more. Surely, my price is reasonable given the above??? Obviously, there may be cheaper alternatives available, which may or may not be of the same quality etc, but that applies for nearly anything you purchase these days (funnily enough, including some of the items you have for sale in your signature). Sometimes you only get what you pay for... If I'm missing something, please don't hesitate to let me know via PM as it is not my intention to rip people off - going off the above, I don't think you can say that I am... In future, if you're not interested in purchasing an item, instead of rubbishing someone elses thread please keep your comments to yourself (or if you can't help yourself, do it via PM). Thanks.

Thanks for the input Just to clarify, I do have an aftermarket head unit, but it's been in the car for the best part of 2 years now without any problems. I've also got a electronic boost controller, but that's also been in the car for at least 18 months. I'm guessing that if it's got something to do with either of the above, it's probably because something has come loose or some wiring has worn through somewhere, otherwise it might be something else. I'll pull the headunit out over the weekend and check that everything looks ok and see if it still blows the fuse when it's disconnected. I'm a bit of a novice when it comes to electrical stuff, but I'll also see if I can borrow a multimeter over the weekend and give your suggestions a go Fangz (thanks for your offer to help - I might drop you a PM if I have any problems). If all else fails, i've got the contact details for a good workshop which also does auto electricial work - i've already planned to book the car in to get some mechanical work done (just waiting a few weeks for some parts to arrive), so I'll probably get them to try and sort the auto electrical stuff out for me as well if I can't figure it out.

I run 300ZX rims on the rears when I race at WSID (see pic below). Tyres are 255/50/16 MT ET Drag Radials - I drive them to and from the track, no problems at all.

Montoya as a character and a racer was always good value from a F1 spectators point of view - I think F1 will find him hard to replace McLaren released the following statement on Tuesday morning: 'Team McLaren Mercedes and Juan Pablo Montoya have mutually agreed for him to step down in the forthcoming races of this year's Formula 1 World Championship. The team has decided that Pedro de la Rosa will join Kimi Raikkonen in the race driver line-up. 'Juan Pablo has been an energetic member of the team since 2005, but will now spend the next few months based in Miami with his family and wife Connie who is expecting their second child in September. Following his agreement with Chip Ganassi Racing for next year, Juan Pablo will also be making initial preparations for his debut in a Chrysler Dodge NASCAR. 'Pedro will make his second race appearance for the team following a thrilling points scoring debut in the 2005 Bahrain Grand Prix. '"Juan Pablo is an exciting driver and immensely likeable character who will undoubtedly make a successful transition to the NASCAR scene," said Ron Dennis, CEO and Chairman of the McLaren Group. "We have agreed that with so many things happening in Juan Pablo's life right now, he should take some time out of the car and prepare professionally and personally for the future." '"We believe that Juan Pablo's decision to move to NASCAR is very important for him professionally and we will give him every support to ensure that it is a successful transition," said Norbert Haug, Vice-President, Mercedes-Benz Motorsport. '"I know that it will be a tough transition but I'm really excited about the opportunity to move into the NASCAR championship," said Juan Pablo Montoya. "I have enjoyed most of my time in Formula 1 and I'm grateful for this opportunity to settle my personal life and concentrate on my future career." '"I'm of course extremely thrilled to have this opportunity to race the MP4-21 - a car in which I'm really comfortable," said Pedro de la Rosa. "I know the MP4-21 better than anyone else and I'm confident that I can achieve important World Championship points for the team."'

I originally bought this monitor to replace my old one which died, but have since bought a new PC package (including monitor) from Dell so I no longer have any use for the Acer monitor. Monitor is as new, was only used for a few weeks (comes with original box etc) Monitor Specs: Display Size: 15" (304x228mm) Dot Pitch: 0.297mm Resolution: 1024 x 768 Brightness: 250 cd⁄m Contrast Ratio: 350:1 Max. Very unlucky not to win the Indy 500 last month - thought he had it won. He's definately got the makings of a future champion.
-
True...(I think Micheal Andretti is the answer to your question by the way) So who would you suggest then?
-
The driver is Jarno Trulli - the comparison is meaningless. GP2 is the new proving ground for future F1 drivers and Hamilton is wiping the floor with everyone in the series (including Piquet). I think it would take some balls for Ron Dennis to give him a drive next year, but the guy has proven that he's quick in everyone he's driven, so I don't think you can say that he's not worthy of a drive in F1.

SEE HERE ...or any other sports website for that matter

Another piece of next years driver puzzle was put in place (kinda) overnight - Montoya is leaving Formula 1 to join Nascar... Given the above, I think Lewis Hamilton is almost a sure thing to drive for Mclaren with Dirty Sanchez next year.

See HERE for same article. I really hope Webber does move on from Williams. I'd really like to see what he's capable of achieving with a decent car beneath him, especially considering he's quite often out-performed the potential of his underperforming cars at both Williams and Jag. If my instincts are right, I'd bet that it wouldn't take him too long to start outperforming Fisichella if he did make the move. Fingers crossed that it finally happens...
