  2. Why? Maybe everyone else should pick up their game...
  3. More likely to be the order of retirements rather than winners of the race... In all seriousness, it should be an interesting race, but I can't see the winner being anything other than a Renault or McLaren. Hopefully one of those blue cars can prove me wrong and get up there on the podium as well.
  4. Rumour has it that Flavio is trying to court Schumi to Renault once his Ferrari contract expires at the end of the season...now that would be interesting if that one came off.Bring on Imola this weekend
  5. Though that might have been the case...not the first time that's happened at WSID from what I've heard.
  6. WTF happened on that run??? Was there oil already on the track or did you loose it on your own oil? Or something else???
  7. This has sorta been covered before (I was thinking about painting mine for a while as well)... See HERE and HERE Hope that helps...
  8. I thought the burnout sessions (and the whole day actually) were pretty damm good considering it's was only meant to be a 'street meet'. Monique's burnout was a good effort, but definately not the best of the day by a long shot though... Perhaps I'm missing something, but I don't get it why everyone whinges about V8's or imports racing depending on which side of the fence you sit. I actually enjoy seeing both types of cars racing side by side...I think there should be more of it personally and going by the half decent crowd size (more than most sport compact meets I've been to), I'm guessing I'm not the only one... The only dissapointing part of the day was the fact that a lot of the fast cars didn't bother entering the rebel bracket shootout at the end of the day. I thought the lure of some prizemoney would have drawn a few more cars out...maybe next time. Still a pretty good day overall in my books.
  9. With a better 60" time (say a 2.0), you should be able to achieve mid to high 13's. Try letting your tyre pressure down to say 20psi next time out.
  10. Would like to race, but will probably just spectate as there's not much point racing with a slipping clutch.
  11. Fair call I just wanted to point out that it isn't impossible and further to that, I might add that that time was done using standard suspension as well GTshortie, I was using 255/50/16 BFGoodrich Comp T/A radials at the time (not slicks ). Those tyres needed a nice, long burnout to heat up on the first run, but really only needed a modest burnout for each subsequent run after that. I was dropping the clutch at around 5,000rpm and it used to hook up really well off the line. With a bit of practice, I was consistantly doing 1.8-1.9 60' times on these tyres. Unfortunately, those tyres were around $400 a corner. I now use Mickey Thompson ET Drag radials (around $250/corner) which are just as good in my opinion.
  12. Model number?I could be interested in the clutch if you're willing to separate. It shouldn't be too hard to sell the gearbox on it's own. PM to discuss if you're interested.
  13. Ummm, no 104mph is good enough to run a 12 using std turbo. I've done it on my old set up which had 190rwkw (give or take a few either way depending on the dyno used). SEE HERE
  14. 12.619 @ 116mph (R33 GTST) Gotta replace that slipping clutch and go for low 12's!
  15. Just to give you an example, here are the mods that I had when I was making 194rwkw (car was originally stock)... Blitz LM FMIC: $1500 Power FC: $1000 Profec B Spec II EBC: $500 Turbo-back exhaust (w/hi flow cat converter) $1100 K&N Panel Filter: $100 Heavy Duty Clutch: $1100 Total: $5300 Obviously you could probably save some cash on the FMIC by buying a Hybrid or Just Jap jobbie...most people seem to think they do a reasonable job. Hope that helps.
  16. Have you tried Rocket at Huntingwood? I bought a set of 255/50/16's from there for ~$250 a corner - perhaps you can do better on price if you go through them???
  17. I've got a set of coilpacks (6) to suit R33 Series II, although I'm not willing to sell them individually. If you're interested in purchasing the set, I'd be looking for $150 (+ postage) - I'm in Sydney. PM me if you're interested.
  18. Just wanted to say thanks to Adam and UAS for organising and running the day yesterday - top work! Very surprised to win R33 GTST w/aftermarket turb with 286.6rwkw (which is just about spot on what it did on MRC's dyno last year), but I'll take it Overall, a pretty good day!
  19. Bump - need to sell
  20. Guys, if anyone is after one of these boxes for an R33 (w/ clear polycarbonate lid), please let me know. I purchased mine earlier this week from mr crust, but unfortunately it doesn't fit properly on my car as I have a new turbo and the hose to the afm isn't as long as the std item which means the pod doesn't sit fully within the box. I don't really want to fork out extra cash to replace a perfectly fine hose (I only did the upgrade a few months ago), so it's available if someone would like to purchase it. I will also comment that the quality of this product is well worth the money in my opinion. I'm just dissapointed that I couldn't get it to fit! Anyway, I'm located in Sydney, please PM me if you're interested. All other enquiries to mr crust

  22. Greenline Nengun I bought Nismo 550cc injectors from Nengun around 6 months ago. They worked out being around $900 delivered which was a hell of a lot cheaper than what I could get them for locally. Trade off was that it took over a month for them to arrive which wasn't a worry for me, but might be a deterent to others. I've also bought from Greenline in the past and have found Jason to be very quick with delivery, although he always seems to charge a little more then Nengun. Good luck.
  23. Very tidy Adam - looks good

  25. I've got a GT3040 on a low mount HKS manifold in an R33. It can be done, although it won't fit with the std engine mount. I ended up using a new Z32 engine mount which gives just enough clearance for everything to fit in nice and tight.
