I've got a 97 Series II R33 GTST turbo for sale - I advertised it on the forum yesterday SEE HERE Perfect condition, located in Sydney - asking $350. PM me if you're interested (be quick as I've already had some interest in it and it's only been advertised for a day).

I have a Rb20det (suit R32 Gtst) manual gearbox for sale - funnily enough, I'm only asking $300 for it (I've got no use for it and it's taking up space in my small garage). It's in perfect working condition. Located in Sydney (but can freight at buyers expense). See my for sale thread for details (link is in my signature below) or drop me a PM.

I plan on going this week (provided the weather is good) if anyone's keen to join me I might come and spectate on the 14th if there's a few of you guys running though.

Yeah I noticed that yesterday - both the BP's at West Ryde and Rydalmere were out. Ended up filling up with Mobil Synergy 8000. I'm sure it will do the job.

Wsid Drag Warz Sport Compact Meet Back On Dec 17th
ECR033 replied to NXTIME's topic in Motorsport Discussion & Builds
That's good news then Even better news Here's hoping that the event is a big success. I personally enjoy watching all types of drag racing (and motorsport in general), but SC is the only hope I'll probably ever have of actually competing which is half the beauty of the concept and which is why I'm going to enter. I know this is probably true for the majority of people on here, so if you're thinking about having a go, just get in there and enter -
Wsid Drag Warz Sport Compact Meet Back On Dec 17th
ECR033 replied to NXTIME's topic in Motorsport Discussion & Builds
I hope you're right NXTIME. I just looked at the list now and it looks like it has been updated...now 24 cars in total I still haven't got around to entering yet, but will do so next week. I just hope the event gets the numbers otherwise it's going to fall on it's arse and be another slap in the face for SC in this country. -
Perhaps give Just Jap at Kirrawee a call - 9545 0532 I know they're open Sat mornings.

I've also got a set in Sydney off a 97 Series II GTST - PM me if you're interested.

Wsid Drag Warz Sport Compact Meet Back On Dec 17th
ECR033 replied to NXTIME's topic in Motorsport Discussion & Builds
According to the current entry list on the WSID website (SEE HERE), there's only 18 cars entered so far...I would have thought more people would have entered by now given there's only a little over 2 weeks to go??? Or is this just the calm before the flood of entries in the last week or so??? Here's hoping anyway... In any case, I'm going to enter later this week...just want to have a bit of fun, do a 9 sec pass () and make my small contribution to SC in this country Shall we get a list going... IN: 1JZ.747 DiRTgarage NXTIME ECR033 So, anyone else??? -
Just noticed this article on the WSID website SEE HERE Not sure if it's directed at SAU in particular though.

I have a std turbo off a series II R33. Good condition, minimal shaft play, located in Sydney. $400 and it's yours. PM if you're interested.

Blitz LM kit for $1299 is a decent price... I paid over $1500 for mine over a year ago
-
How much are you looking to pay? My girlfriend has a 2000 model in good condition, although I doubt she'd seriously contemplate selling unless the offer was extremely good. Otherwise, CAR SALES and THE TRADING POST are your friends
-
Time to get yourself for a SAFC for Christmas Edit: Didn't realise it was an auto
-
Another one for Mark at MRC Does excellent work at a reasonable price. Very easy going as well. Dropped the car off there again this morning

Where Do People Mount Their Boost Gauges On An R33
ECR033 replied to nsta's topic in R Series (R30, R31, R32, R33, R34)
Another option... I've seen pics where the cigarette lighter on a R33 has been removed and the boost guage installed in it's place (obviously the console needed to be modified slightly to fit the guage). It's probably not the best location from a visual perspective when driving, but it looked neat and it's legal. I liked it -
Intercoolers - BOV's - Catch tanks - Oil coolers
ECR033 replied to performance-wise's topic in For Sale (Business Traders)
I've dealt with Paul on a few occassions and can vouch that he is a genuine trader who has always delivered as promised. Paul, PM sent re: Oil Catch Can -
I have a 3" dump and front pipe for sale if you're interested. I purchased it from BATMBL (SEE HERE) about 6 months ago. It's a direct fit for an R33 and in new near condition. I'm only selling it as I've just upgraded my turbo and had to get a new dump fabricated. PM me if you're interested

I agree that starting fresh next year is the best option. There's way too much on between now and Christmas to try and organise another day at WSID. For those that still want to race, there's always the Sport Compact meet at WSID on December 17th ($110 to compete) or good ol Wed nights at WSID. I've never had a go at any of these Sport Compact meets before, but since there's no SAU drag day and i've still got the bug to race, i've decided to turn a negative into a positive and have decided to enter. I personally think it would be awesome if we could get a heap of Skylines out there and make a day of it Adam, excellent work on organising the refund from WSID. Look forward to the drag day next year

Most people realise that the correct decision was made on the day. One can only imagine the amount of whinging that would have occured should the day have gone ahead and then it rained an hour or two later. Seriously, people need to get over it and get on with life. Arguing and taking pot shots at one another isn't going to get us anywhere and isn't going to achieve anything. Besides, there will be other drag days! Thanks for the update Adam - appreciate the effort that you and the SAU committee put into organising these events.

Wsid Drag Warz Sport Compact Meet Back On Dec 17th
ECR033 replied to NXTIME's topic in Motorsport Discussion & Builds
This might be a stupid question, but I'll ask it anyway... Can someone please confirm the correct class to select on the entry form? I'm guessing it's Sport RWD, but I remember seeing Skylines competing with ET2 (or something like that) at one of the other Sport Compact events at WSID earlier this year. Just want to make sure I choose the correct class if I decide to enter -
I had the exact same problem yesterday, but it went away once I turned the air conditioner off. It was really strange as the car drove fine with the air con on for about 5 mins, then it started to idle really rough and drove like a dog. Once I turned the air con off and gave the car a few small revs, it seemed to rectify the problem and the car drove fine again. I thought perhaps it was a bit of bad fuel or something, but when I drove the car later in the day with the air con on again, it did the same thing again. Car's going back to the workshop this week for a few other things, so I'll be getting my mechanic to have a look at it for me while it's there. Anyone got any idea what may be causing this?
