Too many...I'm sure I would use a heap less water if I used the hose. On a serious note, I probably use around 6-8 buckets of water (big 20L bucket as well) when I wash the car. I've kinda given up using the bucket though, so I usually end up getting the car washed at a cash wash while I enjoy my caffine hit on a Saturday morning - which I plan on doing shortly

Spotted a Bayside blue R33 GTST going over the Toongabbie railway bridge yesterday around 6.30pm. Nice looking car Also, just remembered that I spotted a girl driving another Bayside blue R32 GTR yesterday arvo around 5pm near Meadowbank station.

What Happened To The Timeslip Registry
ECR033 replied to wrxkilla's topic in Motorsport Discussion & Builds
I agree - there was a lot of crap in there. If it were to re-emerge (which would be a good thing), then I reckon that it should be a requirement that you post a link to your timeslip. Bring it back I always thought it was interesting to compare times and see where I was loosing or gaining times against others with similar mods. -
I see that car 'NOT ME' fairly regularly on James Ruse Drive or Victoria Road on the way to work in the mornings. Anyone know what's been done to it?

The search function is your friend - use it There's a heap of info on this site that will help point you in the right direction. You just have to find it In addition to the turbo kits mentioned above, perhaps also do some research on the GT3037, GT3071, GT3040R turbos. They'll all make between 250 - 330rwkw with the appropriate supporting mods. www.gcg.com.au is worth a look as well

How Stuff Works also has some very good working diagrams on how engines work. It's a pretty good site

Sniff, Sniff...I smell BULLSHIT Since when were there non-turbo R33 GTR's lol But wait, hang on, didn't you say you had a 34 in another thread... Well, what is it then? R33 GTR or R34 GTR? PICSORBAN. Back to www.hot4s.com for you I think - amazingly enough, you might actually find someone who believes you over there

Excellent video I loved how the NSX driver was even trying to go around the GTR on the outside of the corners. There was a few pretty close calls on a few corners as well. Guess the NSX driver didn't realise that teh GT-R can nevar lose

Other than Just Cars, perhaps try Famous Car Insurance. I think there's an Insurance thread stickied in the one of the General Discussion forums which has all their details. In the case that either of them do offer you insurance, I hope you're prepared to fork out a lot of $$$ for comprehensive cover as it ain't gonna be cheap.

Spotted MADGTS turning right onto Old Windsor Road near the M2.

Very nice... I was never really a fan of the V35, but lately the more I see of them, the more they're starting to grow on me

Using Sydney as an example, am I right in assuming that all 98RON fuel sold here by BP and Mobil is either Optimax (from Clyde) or Vortex (from Kurnell) since neither BP or Mobil have refineries here? If that is correct, do BP or Mobil (using Sydney as an example again) add their own additives to the fuel refined at Clyde or Kurnell to get their own unique fuel mixture which they then brand as Ultimate or Synergy 8000 respectively? If they don't add their own additives, then I'm confused as to how there can be differing result between each of the fuels as essentially they should be one of two variants available (given that the tests were conducted in Sydney). Hopefully someone in the know can answer these questions...it would be interesting to know what really happens. Might also stop me going out of my way to buy a particular fuel

Hiflowing the stock turbo is a good, reliable and relatively inexpensive upgrade. It's usually good for around 230rwkw with the usual supporting mods (i.e PFC, FMIC, EBC, 3" turbo back exhaust, upgrade fuel pump & injectors). If you are satisfied with this level of power, then bang for buck, nothing beats the hiflow. The reason why a lot of people don't choose the hiflow is because to get say 250rwkw using a hiflow (which seems to be a common goal these days), in addition to paying for your stock turbo to be hiflowed, you'll also need to spend more money on other areas of your engine (i.e cams, porting etc) than it would cost to buy a larger turbo that would do the job straight out of the box. Obviously the slight trade off with buying a larger turbo is that you loose some of the response of the hiflow, but at that power range the difference is relatively small. Another reason why people decide against the hiflow is simply to leave some headroom for further modifications down the track. If you want around 250rwkw with the original supporting modifications that I mentioned above, then the HKS GT-RS (or Garrett equivalent) is probably the best option. Their are quite a few people on the forum that are making upwards of 250rwkw with this turbo. At the end of the day, either of the turbos can get you 250rwkw. You just have to decide which road you want to take to get there

It does sound like your alarm/immobiliser, but don't rule out the battery. The same thing happened to me a few months back where the stereo and lights would work, but the engine wouldn't crank over. The starter motor drains a fair charge from the battery, so there may not be enough charge in the battery to turn it over, yet still enough charge to power the stereo and lights. I changed the battery and she was sweet after that - so my advice is to get a volt metre and check your battery. If it's not either of the above, then perhaps your starter motor is rooted...try rolling the car forward/backward in gear (or tap the starter motor with a hammer) and then see if you can start it. Good luck.

Same here... -
Also, I'm pretty sure there was a thread on EBC's a fair while ago...might pay to do a quick search
-
Obviously almost everyone is going to recomend the EBC that they have in their own cars...so I'll do the same I've got a GReddy Profec B Spec II and it does the job for me. It might not have all the snazzy displays of some other EBC's, but it does have most of the functionality that you'll ever need (3 boost settings, gain function, peak hold display, boost warning etc). And most importantly, it holds boost fairly constant through the rev range. Good value for money

Anything from mid to high 13's on decent tyres... Anything from high 12's to mid 13's on drag radials I've done a 12.9 @ 104mph on Std turbo R33 (~195rwkw) on BFG Comp T/A drag radials at WSID to give you an indication of potential

Stock AFM's max out around 200-220rwkw on rb20/25's...mine already shows around 5.0v on a 195rwkw R33 which is pretty much on the limit. Z32 AFM's are a direct swap for the stock AFM, so no modifications are needed to fit (as long as you have the correct plug). Q45 AFM's are larger than Z32's and are not a direct fit. I'd definately replace the stock item and get the car retuned if it's already maxing out...it's better to spend the $400 (or approx $250 for second hand item) now, rather than lean your engine out because your std AFM can't detect the additional airflow. As for injectors, again 220rwkw is probably on the limit for the stock items. Personally, I'd replace the stock items with some 555cc injectors and new fuel pump (either Walbro or Bosch 040) as part of your upgrade just to be safe. If that's not an option, then definately fit the FPR and you should be ok for 220rwkw (but not much more). Hope that helps.

Thanks for the advice SK I'll definately consider buying and installing the kit (with the settings you mentioned above) in the next month once I've finished my turbo upgrade. Appreciate the help

Looking to purchase a 5 speed RB25det Gearbox and Tailshaft from an R33 Skyline. Must be in good, working condition. Prefer to purchase from Sydney or surrounding regions (as I'd prefer to do pick up to minimise freight costs). Please PM me (or post in this thread) if you can help me out
