  1. I totally agree. I think the results from yesterday speak volumes for Christian Jones' driving ability relative to that of Will Power and Will Davison.
  2. This always seems to be an area of debate... I personally don't have one on my car, but have heard of people getting gains with an adj cam gear on the Std turbo...in contrast, I've also heard people getting no gain at all. Do a search for Benm's thread at least a year back where he got around ~10rwkw gain from an adjustable cam gear on a stock turbo RB25.

See below Jetspeed at Moorebank is a good starting point...
  4. Excuse my ignorance, but are all non-standard seats considered illegal? I only ask as I was considering replacing the standard seats in my R33 GTST with either some R33 GTR seats or perhaps some aftermarket seats from Just Jap, but I won't bother if it's illegal. Can someone advise me?
  5. They've been saying that for the last 7 years...it still hasn't happened
  6. I was half hoping that Murph would deck Ambrose when they had their little standoff after their incident. It would have served Ambrose right as he is the most arrogant piece of work going around in the series...can't say I felt sorry to see his car on the back of a tow truck either Was a fairly good race overall, but I couldn't believe the amount of incidents that happened during the first half of the race. You would have thought it was a sprint race they way some of the drivers were acting. Good to see the red car back at the front where it belongs
  7. Pfft Button That was by far the best race of the year - heaps of good racing and passing moves Raikonnen drove an excellent race, as did Alonso considering where they were on the grid. I feel a bit sorry for Fisi as he did everything but win the race. I also thought Webber drove a stormer of a race. He did very well to clear Coulthard and Button and was doing pretty well to keep Alonso and Raikonnen behind him at certain times during the race, although it was inevitable that eventually they would both get past. P4 is still a good result, although it would have been nice to see him on the podium. Let's hope he has a good finish to the season in China

  9. Thanks for the offer mate - might take you up on it next weekend if you're available
  10. I don't think GTR injectors are a straight fit on an RB25det (in fact, i'm 99% sure they aren't). I'd advise that you buy some 555cc injectors (SEE HERE FOR EXAMPLE) and go straight for a new Walbro or Bosch 040 fuel pump if you want to safely run 250rwkw.
  11. Some great shots there - especially love the alley shot Didn't get around to taking any shots this arvo as the weather wasn't looking too promising...might try tomorrow, but Bathurst is on, so it may have to wait till next weekend
  12. Not really keen on Homebush for the same reason that Wilch mentioned...everyone does it. In saying that, I have seen some very good pics taken around there. I do like the sound of the freight forwarding yards (if I can get somewhere near them), as that would be a pretty cool backdrop. Actually it kinda reminds me of some of the pics you see from the Jap auctions... Also like the sound of a narrow alley, but where the hell would you find one of those that isn't being used during the day! And, where can you take pics around Tom Ugly's bridge? I've driven over it a few times in recent years, but never paid much attention to whats around it (it's not really in my area)... Hopefully the weather holds up - gonna go wash and polish after lunch
  13. Thanks for that Any luck with decoding the last few letters of the model code?
  14. Hmm, knew that beeping sound in the cabin when the car is in reverse was for a reason Any chance of decoding the last few letters of the model code - GGKBRTAR33VDA-EJ-A? Also, what colour is KR4 supposed to be? At least I now know which cams to get Thanks heaps mate - you've been a big help...
  15. I think it should only be ~ $130 on white or coloured plates as it's the same format as general release plates. If you get it on yellow, then you'll be hit with the $400 fee.
  16. I was just thinking that I don't really have any nice pics of my car (other than a few I got from WSID), so I thought I might clean it up tomorrow and go somewhere to take some nice shots... Anyone know of some good locations to take some car photos around Sydney? Doesn't have to be anything fancy... I was actually thinking of doing some late arvo shots, using a factory or warehouse as a back drop (for the industrial look), but I know there's more than a few budding photographers out there, so I'm also interested in any other ideas...
  17. What about BRE-37T? I personally can't justify the $400/year fee for personalised plates. I already pay $70/year for blue plates with my initials on them and I think that's a rip off. You'd be better off spending the money on other mods
  18. Hi guys, Can someone please check a VIN for me please: 6U000ECR33130318 Need to try and find out the month of manufacture in particular so I order myself the right cams Also have suspicions that my car may have started it's life as an auto as well... Many thanks
  19. I have a brand new (still in the box) Bosch 040 fuel pump. I only bought it last month, but have decided not to use it now. I had planned on advertising it with a few other bit's and pieces that are coming off my car in the next month or so (after upgrading turbo and fuel system), but if you are keen to buy now, then let PM me an offer.

  21. I don't understand this defamation rubbish... If a workshop does a shit job and the customer comes on here and gives a factual recollection of what has happened, I don't know how that can be claimed as defamation. I also don't understand how it's possible that a workshop can file for defamation against a forum if all that's been said is the truth? Take a look at Abo Bob's thread in the general discussion forum. I think he spells out the issue fairly clearly with some examples as well. I know that linking bad workmanship to particular workshops is frowned upon on this forum...probably for good reason (hell, I'd want to minimise the risk as well). But, on the other hand, I don't know if it's necessarily right to withhold information about a particular experience with a workshop if it were to the benefit of other forum members? I think the main problem with forums is that most opinions will usually be subjective and unfortunately that's where the majority of the risk lies. I think this is the main reason why negative comments about particular workshops probably won't see the light of day on this forum (for good reason). Anyway, back on topic... Very nice power curve mate, look like a good result I can't believe there was so much difference between the original tune and the Unigroup tune though. The first tune must have been horrible!
  22. Got any pics of the 3037S? Will this bolt up to an RB25, or would you need an adapter plate to make it fit?
  23. In other words, Paul was saying that the stock turbo from either the R33 GTST and the R34 GTT is bigger than one of the individual R32 GTR turbo's (remember there's 2 turbo's on a 32 GTR). Hope that clarifies
  24. Hmm, that may explain things a little... I did think it was a little odd that the actuator was so big, but being a bit of a novice with these sort of things, I didn't really question it. Thanks for your help.
