  1. I'd also be interested, but $80 for an unframed print is ridiculous - no offense.
  2. Likewise...Basically in the process of putting together a tough, reliable streeter that does see the drag strip and/or track (eventually) every so often for a bit of fun
  3. Not wanting to hi-jack, but since we're on the topic of wastegate actuators, can someone tell me which HKS wastegate actuator (ie. 80mm or 100mm) is more suitable for use on a HKS2835 ProS on an RB25det? Looking to get around 275rwkw with supporting mods (incl EBC) I wouldn't have a clue which one is more suitable... Thanks guys
  4. I'd also like to get out there to watch...although it's the day after the SAU Drag Day at WSID and I do have a CPA exam that week as well, so I might have to watch from home
  5. It's amazing how far you can get when your father is the team principle though isn't it...
  6. Given that Heidfeld is going to BMW and that the Buttongate sideshow has now finally come to an end, I think WIlliams should concentrate on making sure they get a decent driver to pair up with Webber for next year. If I were FW, I'd forget about Pizza Boy (and those stupid rumours about JV going to Williams) and concentrate on getting Ant Davidson's butt in a Williams for 06. I think he's by far the best bet from the drivers that would be available for next season...that is of course unless that Hakkinen bloke decides that he might want to give F1 another go.
  7. I'm guessing you drive an R33 right? By the time you get your PFC installed and tuned, you should have something around 170-200rwkw depending on how much boost you run and depending on the dyno. I only mention the dyno because your previously quoted figures look a little on the generous side, but if all your figures have been done on the same dyno, then it's all relative so that's ok (BTW, what did FIST tune? You didn't mention that you had another programable ECU or an SAFC for example). On street tyres, that should be good for anything from mid to high 13's (or even quicker with sticky tyres). Good luck
  8. BTW, if you actually do go ahead with the conversion, then PM me as I would have a buyer for your manual gearbox (provided it was in good nick).
  9. Sell the manual and buy an auto. Auto Skylines are generally cheaper than Manual Skylines, so I'd advise against spending money on doing the conversion as you're really spending money to make your car less valuable (if that makes sense). If you sold your Manual and bought an Auto, you'd probably have some cash left in your pocket for a few new mods
  10. There is an article on an R32 V-Spec II in the issue 58 of HPI (latest issue). There's a picture of the "V-Spec II" logo on page 86. Hope that helps
  11. I read that story on Planet-F1 as well...I find it a little hard to believe though. Webber has been quicker than Heidfeld at most GP's, but unfortunately he's had a good deal of bad luck on a many occassions that has compromised his results. Heidfeld has pretty much got through the season unscathered by bad luck (except for his recent mishap) in contrast. I'd also think that if things weren't going so well between FW and Webber, then Webber wouldn't be so keen to stay. He could easily move to Renault in place of Fisi, especially seeing that Flavio is Webber's manager after all, but yet he remains loyal to Williams every time he's asked about it by the media. As for Webber moving to BAR...I think Karthekeyan has got a better chance of winning a GP then that happening any time soon.
  12. Unfortunately, I think God is a Renault fan, so your prayers (and mine) will probably go unanswered for the foreseeable future. Williams are in a downward spiral...they don't have the technical expertise of many of the other teams, they'll lack a manufacturer engine deal in 06 and morale must be down. I think the only thing that will save Williams' progression down the grid would be if they were able to poach some big name technical guys (an Adrian Newey, Pat Symonds, Ross Brawn or Mike Gascoigne for example) and/or if they got an injection of funds and support from a top line manufacturer. Hopefully they can get back up the grid...and hopefully Webber won't have to regret choosing to go to Williams over Renault and Toyota...
  13. Sounds good to me ...I'll definately do the overnighter in the Hunter again as well as I'm sure I'll have well and truely consumed the wine bought last weekend by the time the next cruise comes around. Although next time, I think I'm gonna sit right at the back of the pack from the start and stay out of the way from the rest of you crazy mofo's
  14. Spotted "NOT ME" Silver R33 GTR on James Ruse Drive this morning.
  15. I'd also advise that you're better off looking privately...as others have said, carsales.com.au or tradingpost.com.au are good places to start. If you do want to buy from a dealer, then Northshore Prestige at Balgowlah is worth a try. I had a look at quite a few cars there and they were all of a very good quality. The guys there were also very helpful and knowledgeable about Skylines (and imports in general) and they also have a workshop on the premises as well which is good for any service or warranty work that may need to be done. I almost purchased a car from them, but was lucky enough to find the mint example I now drive in a private ad for a fair bit cheaper than the price the dealer was after for the car I was interested in. Don't waste your time on Parra Rd...unless of course, you want to pay top dollar for a lemon.

10.34 if I recall correctly from the other Jambo thread in the Qld section
  17. Also interested in a all-black set of seats for my R33. Out of curiosity, do you have any seats currently in stock that are the same style as the black ones? I only ask as I wouldn't mind coming down to have a look first before going ahead with the purchase. Thanks
  18. How much boost were you running? What other mods do you have?
  19. I think this is the all important question...traction is the key factor.I'd guess anything from a high 13 to a mid 14...
  20. I assume you've got an RB26 as you've mentioned "gt2530's"...as in plural. Doubt you'll find a single HKS GT2530 (which are discontinued by the way) for under $2,000, let alone two of them. Cheapest you'll find for HKS... Nengun Greenline A few Garrett alternatives... GCG HPinaBox Or if you're lucky, you may find some second hand gear on some of the Jap auction sites (eg yahoo!) or perhaps e-bay or the classifieds forum.
  21. Famous last words eh
  22. Hehe, it was a Mazda Familia mate...
  23. Thanks Lanfoh, that makes sense. It still begs the question though, which is the better option for my application - the 80mm diameter or 100mm diameter?
  24. Have you got your new setup tuned yet? How did you go?
  25. Come on guys - help a novice out Thanks!
