  8. Received mine yesterday Quality looks good, looking forward to fitting it over the weekend. Thanks Pete.
  9. Have you considered labour costs to fit your new turbo, injectors etc etc??? You also need to factor in a Z32 AFM as the standard AFM will run out of resolution at anything more than what you're currently running. Budget around $400 (or $200-$300 2nd hand). I'd also be cautious about using deatschwerks injectors. From what i've read, they seem to get mixed reviews (everyone in the US loves them, everyone else seems to think they're crap). If you're after something tried and proven, then spend a few extra dollars and stick with something like Nismo or Sard injectors (you'll also need the injector collars for the Sards as they're not direct fit). Try Nengun for some prices. 550cc are good for well over 300rwkw, so probably no need to go for anything bigger unless you're planning more mods further down the track. Do you have a full turbo back exhaust or cat back only? Cat back exhaust is still going to be quite restrictive and limit the power you'll make, so i'd recommend upgrading to a full exhaust if you haven't already done so. Not wanting to put a damper on your enthusiasm, but I think you're going to struggle to make 270rwkw regardless, especially without upgrading cams. I think 250rwkw is a realistic target, so perhaps set this as your aim and count anything extra as a bonus.
  10. Link doesn't seem to be working?
  11. Hmm, April 6-8 - isn't the race is already over? BTW, ever seen the Motorsport section... Think this thread belongs there
  12. Hmmm, it's not Friday in Monaco yet though Anyone know why they have free practice on Thursday in Monaco, then nothing on Friday, before quali on Saturday? Good to see Webber hanging in the top 10 in both sessions despite the fact that the RBR's had hydraulic problems. Hopefully they can sort the car so he can put in a good performance in qualifying and get towards the front of the grid for the race.
  13. Nice one, well done! If my eyes weren't deceiving me, I think I also saw the MX-5 (nfs13b?) run a 9 during the grudge runs later in the night. I can't remember the exact time or mph (I was staging up for a run behind you), but if so, well done also!
  14. Had a great day yesterday Managed a best of 12.05@117 in qualifying for SRWD, then in my first ever elimination race, managed to pull off a win which was a bit of a buzz. I actually backed off towards the end and just shaded the racer next to me over the line running a 12.10@109 on a 12.05 dial in with a 0.04 R/T (also my best 60' of day - 1.71), so there may have been an 11 there...who knows. Ended up stuffing the start on the next round though and lost out, but it was fun! Awesome work mate, well done! Thanks again for the help yesterday, it was much appreciated. Shame I couldn't covert some of your advice consistently on the track, but I'll get there eventually with some more practice Cheers, Brenden.
  15. Awesome - thanks for the update Pete
  16. Any update on how we're progressing?
  17. Racing - should be good
  18. Fark! Feel sorry for Webber. Seems like he's cursed with bad reliability wherever he goes. Knowing his luck, DC will end up scoring points and lead Webber in the championship despite being outdriven for most of the season so far.
  19. 300rwkw? I think that's pushing it a little... The most I've seen or read about with a highflow on an rb25 is around 270ish rwkw on a rebuilt Neo25 with cams and all the other fruit. Most rb25's running highflows and supporting mods range from 220-250rwkw. Getting back to the original post, if you have the necessary supporting mods (i.e PFC, EBC, FMIC, fuel pump, injectors, Z32, turbo back exhaust) or plan on getting them in the future, then a highflow is definately the way to go and you'll end up with a very nice streeter once tuned. If you don't have supporting mods and don't foresee getting them in the future, then I'd probably recommend just replacing your turbo with another std r33/34 unit as you won't see a huge amount of benefit with the highflow without supporting mods.
  20. 130 Pre-Entries as at 7.30pm today and probably still a few more to be added to the list (and a few entries on the day). 21. Paid and entered this morning I'd definately recommend other's out there thinking about having a go to do so. At the moment, there's a very good chance that most people would qualify for eliminations, at which point consistency (and not outright speed) are the keys to success. It would be fun to meet a few new people as well - I don't really know anyone off here who is entering, so please come and say hi (Any free advice greatly appreciated - I bloody need it!) Cheers, Brenden.
  22. I'm probably going to enter (haven't got my act together yet though). Don't expect to win anything, just going for a bit of fun and support the sport Not sure why we need another thread on this though - I think I bet you to it (SEE HERE)
  23. Boost doesn't kill (punish) an engine - poor tuning will kill an engine before boost does... For the record, I have an ext gated GT3040R with supporting mods and make +285rwkw on 17psi with full boost in the low 4k rpm range. It's a little laggy, but still very streetable - i also don't mind the old fang at the drags, so I wanted something with a reasonable top end - I've done an 11.9 @ 118. BUT, this turbo would not be my first choice if I was after a nice, responsive streeter. As MANY people have already said, the HKS2835ProS or GT-RS would be my turbo of choice (and yes, they do come with the T3 flange to bolt directly to an rb25). Full boost in the mid to high 3k rpm range making an easy +250rwkw with supporting mods. Do yourself a favour and listen to the advice people in the know (and with experience) and giving you
  24. So far, so good Might be a little more difficult once I figure out how to get this thing down the track a little quicker though!
