  1. No, it's not BS. You broke the law, now you have to suffer the consequences. You obviously don't take the law seriously considering you lost your license 3 months after you got it and then had the arrogance to defy your driving disqualification and drive again without your license. I'm sorry mate, but seriously, what were you thinking? As said above, the law is designed to target people like yourself. I know the penalty may seem harsh, but perhaps next time you'll think before you deciding to break the rules.
  2. Umm, I think you'll find that would have been true for last year, although I don't think there is any launch control device in 2005. Williams do have a massive problem with there starts though - but funnily enough, Heidfeld doesn't seem to have as much as a problem as Webber does getting off the line. Webber also had the same problem at Jaguar (remember Malaysia 04 and numerous other times), so me thinks he has a bit of work to do on his starts.
  3. Why don't you ask the man himself - he's on the forums under the username MR RB30 (think the user name gives away a little about the car ) Also, see this thread for more on Wed night.
  4. It's a bit of a hike, but Motorcycle Accessories Supermarket on Church St, Parramatta has a huge range up helmets from around $90 upwards. I bought a decent full face helmet from there a while back for around $150 (can't remember exactly how much) and the guys there were pretty helpful. They probably do late night trading tonight, so perhaps give them a call if you can be bothered making the trip - 9633 1296
  5. Well done on the PB Blitz - car looked and sounded sweet from the stands Also, had to laugh at Jim Reed's daughter last night with her "Mintie this, Mintie that, We love Mintie" comments over the loudspeaker lol...sounds like you've got a bit of a fan club there dude
  6. FFS, what is so difficult about paying $45 and going to WSID??? There's no excuse for Street Racing. Morons!
  7. I'm pretty sure that Heidfeld will go to Sauber if Williams decide to sign Button. It's pretty much a done deal that Sauber will have BMW power next year and I think that Heidfeld will come as part of the package if he's available. It's a shame for Heidfeld though. I feel that he is currently doing more than enough to justify his position at Williams...can't really say the same for 'pretty boy' Button though, who I think is one of the more overrated drivers in F1 (mainly due to a combination of biased British race commentary and an absolutely irratic, unpredictable team mate). Be interesting to see what happens this weekend - Kimi will be hard to beat again. It would also be good to see Webber up there contesting for a podium again (although it'll be difficult being first out in qualifying as a result of his early retirement at the Nurburgring) and I also have a susupicion that the red cars may start to make a bit of a resurgence as well.
  8. Spotted this morning... Gunmetal Grey R33 (JAY-79A) on Fitzwilliam Rd, Toongabbie - looked like a GTR, but didn't get a good look at it. Silver R33 GTST (ECR-33T) on James Ruse Drive heading towards Rosehill.
  9. Those airboxes look tops - as said above, please post up once you've started producing them and I'll probably grab one of you. Good work Cheers, Brenden
  10. I'd also love to see some sort of decent comparison between the hi-flow and the GT-RS. Having heard many differing opinions on both turbos (mostly from partially biased owners trying to justify the $$$ spent), it would be nice to have a more concrete set of performance results to compare from both turbos on the same set up. This info would be particularly helpful as I'm also in the process of deciding whether spending the extra dollars on the GT-RS is worth it for me...
  11. Common sense would tell you that it's obviously an 'indication' of the maximum load that the manufacturer will guarentee that the clutch is capable of safely handling. That said, it doesn't mean that the clutch will turn to 'jelly' at anything over 640ps, it just means that the clutch wasn't designed for a load in excess of that figure and that the manufacturer won't guarentee it's capability to handle such a load.
  12. If it's not too much of a pain in the anus, can I please have my user name changed to: ECR033...or if that's taken, then BD33 (or something along those lines). Thanks
  13. That has got to be one of the most stupid posts I've ever read. Do us all a favour and sell your Skyline before you kill someone. Seriously...it's people like you who give the rest of us a bad name.
  14. SA is a bit of a hike from Sydney  Try the SA section
  15. That's not a bad time for your first run at WSID. What mods have you done to your car? There's an easy 13 waiting for you there if you can get your 60' time down a little. With a good launch (aim for around 2.0 60') you should easily bag a mid 13
  16. LMAO - If only I could be so cool Actually, I don't think he'd see the gauges on his bonnet either with all the crap hanging off his rear view mirror and the stickers plastered all over the windscreen...fully sik mate :aroused:
  17. I don't know what it was with that Swift, but it sounded horrible. It kinda sounded like it was driving on the rev limiter on every single gear change on every single run. Not my cup of tea in any case...Swifts are so 1990
  18. Nengun is your friend. Check it out, just be aware that certain items may be subject to GST and/or duties on arrival in Australia.
  19. Well it made you run faster - didn't you do a PB on that run Don't know how you heard anything though - eye's on the tacho I take it
  20. Same here - damm that thing was loud, probably even louder than that FJ ute at Compak Attak. I was blocking my ears every time it ran after that lol. Ben, great summation of the day - couldn't agree more
  21. Talk about lucky - geez that would have been an experience for your parents. Lucky bastards Interesting point about the starts - Webber actually mentioned that his clutch was the problem in the post race interview as well, although admittedly I was a little sceptical just due to the fact that Heidfeld didn't have the same problem off the start. Hopefully it's only a one off occurance on his car as his reputation for being a slow arse off the line is getting worse with every GP.
  22. Both valid points SK & Morgs - some food for though eh. Still not decided on what to do to be honest, hence the reason for floating the question to see what other people do/think. Thanks for the input. Fatz/Mark, I am considering a 31 (amongst other things), although I don't know how "economical" they would be. Yep that was me (first time i've been spotted lol!) - I work in the area, so I'm up there fairly often. I was just getting a bite to eat
  23. Ah, good thread - I did a quick search, but didn't think to include the "Wasteland" Thanks for the link
  24. I did that drive when the misses and I were down in Melb visiting her folks - great piece of road and nice little town to visit as well
