I'll probably be there as well - one way or another
  2. LOL I actually had a suspicion that perhaps it wasn't a GTR at the time, but didn't get a good enough look at it as I went past to clarify either way...I was too busy watching where I was going and only really noticed the badge and the fact that it looked nice and clean when I gave the wave
  3. Spotted White R33 GTR with plates HUH-000 on Old Windsor Road around 6.45pm last night. Neat ride - I gave a wave when I passed, but don't think you would have seen me as my tints are a little dark
  4. Where did you get your tyres from Wilch? Out of all the places I called for quotes, Payless Tyres in Chatswood were the only ones that stocked Federals...I think their quote was competitive, but I've really got nothing to compare it to.
  5. NSCC = Nissan Sports Car Club. Let's just say that SAU and WSID aren't on the greatest of terms these days, so your best bet is to try and tag onto a private track hire day organised by another club - in addition to the club's mentioned by Ben, v8owners.com.au (i think) also organise them fairly regularly. Private track days are excellent though - I got over 20 runs at the last SAU day and could have had plenty more.
  6. Glad you're impressed with them... Given that I also cancelled a policy with them (due to selling the car) and had a totally negative experience, I'm even more irritated at the way I was treated now!!! I guess this just illustrates that there's always going to be conflicting stories regarding insurance companies and that any advice should always be taken at face value and not treated as gospel (as you've already noted ). For what it's worth, my cars are now insured with Shannon's and I'd rate their customer service to be significantly better than JustCars in all areas.
  7. Yes, definately suitable for R33 RB25 (Series 1 & 2). I'm also fairly sure that it's also suitable for R32 GTS-t and R32/33 GTR's.
  8. After spending some time going through this thread, I've got some quotes for the following tyres (note: Front - 235/45/17, Rear - 255/40/17): Federal SS595 - $730 fitted (Front: $165/corner, Rear: $200/corner) Hankook K104 - $872 fitted (Front: $194/corner, Rear: $242/corner) Toyo T1R - $1070 fitted (Front: $247/corner, Rear: $288/corner) I'm not overly fussed about spending the money to get the Toyo's, but from what people know about these tyres, are they worth the extra money over the Federals and Hankooks? I've heard good things about all the above mentioned tyres, although I'm leaning towards the Federals, not because they're the cheapest, but because they seem to have relative performance to the Toyo's and hence are better value for money. At the end of the day, I basically want a set of tyres that will give reasonable performance and durability. The car is daily driven and I have another set of rims for whenever I feel like going to the track, so I don't really need an excessively performance orientated tyre that will cost more and potentially not last as long if a better compromise exists... What do you guys recommend? Is there anything else I should consider?
  9. What mph did you run? Congrats on the PB

  13. Yep, still available I've attached some pics below - it looks a little dirty (which admittedly it is), but the dark parts are actually where the logo used to be. so it looks a little worse then what it is:

  15. It's been confirmed on the CAMS website - www.cams.com.au
  16. Bloody tragedy RIP #05 Peter Brock
  17. Received interest from a few people - just waiting for someone to take it off my hands
  18. Not sure on how to fix your problem mate, but I do have a spare R33 dash in perfect working order if you want to purchase it - PM me if you're interested.
  19. What I don't understand is why Schumacher didn't back the field up under the safety car before he pitted to allow Massa to get ahead and pit before he got there...at least that way Schumi and Alonso would've pitted at the same time and he would have had a chance to get out ahead of Alonso. I recall Mclaren doing this a year or so ago with Montoya and Kimi. In any case, good to see Massa get a win under his belt. He was consistently quick all weekend and deserved his victory.
  20. OK, quiet now till the telecast begins
  21. Will consider reasonable offers - although $1600 is very fair considering the condition and quality of this clutch...
  22. Yes, flywheel is included - see pics above. PM Sent
  23. Hi All, Item: Twin Plate Clutch built by Direct Clutch in Qld (rated at 800hp) Condition: As new (travelled less than 1,000kms, only on car for less than 2 months) Price: $1,600 o.n.o + postage if needed (paid $1,950 brand new only 3 months ago) Location: Sydney (prefer local pick up - but can post at buyers expense) Clutch was originally installed on my R33 GTS-t, although I believe that it should also be adaptable for R32 GTS-t's and R32/33 GTR's (please check if interested though). The item is in perfect, as new condition and I'm only selling it due to having a change of plans for the car. The clutch has loads of clamping pressure and held the power from my 285rwkw R33 GTS-t with ease both on the dyno and also during a run at WSID (whereas, my heavy duty single slipped quite badly). The clutch is rated at 800hp, so it is more than capable of handling big power. I'll post some pics up tonight. Please PM me or reply in this thread if interested. Thanks
