remove the blow-off valve and plug the hole for the test, box up your pod filter, make sure your exhuast is not noisy and has a cat(go to an exhuast shop that has a DB meter). The guy at Lidcombe last time I was there ( got sent there with my wrx which had major mods) was a pretty nice bloke actually. Lidcombe EPA is differen't to the RTA ,Lidcombe EPA doesn't have an emission tester they only test for noise.

Yeh will be first time out racing the gtr but not first time at the drags, plus WSID is a pretty quick track . Was there a few weeks ago was talking to a guy with an r32 GTR with just the usual mods (pods and exhuast) less power then me he managed 12.0@114mph , if I can go 11.99 I'll be happy. For now lol -

Hey Guys Going to take the GTR down to WSID in a few weeks for a run down the 1/4 mile , I've been doing abit of reading on these forums to try and work out what times the car should be roughly good for , I've seen some very differen't results though. Basically the run down on the car is it's an r32 GTR with really no extra weight ( stero's and the like) , I have a dyno graph from the previous owner from when the PFC was installed and tuned at C&V which is for 275kw@all four wheels. In this form on a perfect run what should the car be able to do ? , I'm hoping for high 11's am I asking too much?. What would 275kw@at all four be in rwkw as I am a little confused on how it would be worked out seeing as it is not a constant 4wd (coming from a wrx back ground here) . Also another thing with the car it has adjustable cam gears but they haven't been fiddled with yet and are at the stock setting's. If I'm chasing a decent 1/4 mile time should I be looking to get them adjusted for peak power , mid range , or low down . I know that last one might be a stupid question as I have my own thoery on what I should be looking at getting them adjusted for just wanted to check with the people who are in the know . cheers Brett

New exedy Heavy duty clutch
7heavn replied to Blade's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
just bought an exedy button clutch for my r32 GTR but yet to install it. I bought the clutch straight from exedy in Sydney which is at eastern creek. I have a family friend that works there and has been in the clutch business for many years. His advice to me was to go easy on the clutch for about 500km's otherwise it will glaze up and need to come out again. This though I believe only applies to button clutches and not full face clutch's which in my opinion should be pretty rite from the get go , wouldn't hurt to go easy on it though for a couple of hundred km's I guess. I know I'll be going easy on mine for awhile just to be on the safe side. -

Squeeling brakes in R32 GTR
7heavn replied to 7heavn's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
yeh but these were machined in a differen't way discs had to come off the car . Discs are sort of machined in steps and now a light pattern on the discs is visable, tell you the truth I would have done anything to stop this prob cause it was driving me nuts . Seems to have stopped it though but yet to take the car on a goo long drive. -
Taken the cam covers off my rb26 for polishing , the rubber gaskets are still attached to the cam covers and seem to be in good condition . When it comes time to bolt them back up should I buy replacment gaskets or could I just use the same ones seeing as they are in good condition ?. cheers Brett
