Taken the cam covers off my rb26 for polishing , the rubber gaskets are still attached to the cam covers and seem to be in good condition . When it comes time to bolt them back up should I buy replacment gaskets or could I just use the same ones seeing as they are in good condition ?. cheers Brett

Going to replace the spark plugs in my GTR car is running close to 300kw@ all four at about 1.2bar what would the best plugs I could put in it be and how should they be gapped?. cheers Brett

I'm after the lights that sit beside the number plate on the rear bar of an r32 gtr or gtst as mine are cracked would prefer to be in Sydney as I would come and collect. My fuel guage doesn't work I'm pretty sure I'm in need of another fuel sender unit , where could I get one from in Sydney?. regards Brett

Yeh I was afraid of it being a difficult excersise I think my best bet for now is to clean off all the black flaking paint

I've noticed a fair few polished intake manifolds on rb26's I would like to do the same to mine cause it looks pretty shit at the moment with all the black paint flaking off . I was thinking about sourcing a manifold having it polished and then getting my machanic to swap them over . I think I remember reading how they are a real bitch to take off and put back on is this true?. Have most of the rb26's with polished manifolds just been done while the manifold is still on the motor or have they been taken off?.

Hey Rick Thanks for the offer I didn't even really think of asking you actually. I'm in no hurry so when you get the other rear one back I'll borrow them off ya so I can narrow down my little problem . I hate annoying rattles and me and the mechanic have been from one end to the other trying to identify this noise . Have even replaced the bushes at the end of the hicas arms which is a prick of a job and alot of the rear end had to be removed and it turned out not to be the problem .

discs were taken off today and sent to race brakes and were machined . My mechanic did explain how they were done but they aren't machined like a normal disc they are done a differen't way. The dics now have like a pattern in them and the squeeling has gone . The Lucas pads I'm using turned out to be a pretty soft compound anyway. I'll let you guys know how it goes over the next few weeks. cheers Brett

The brakes are driving me crazy in my r32 GTR (haven't owned the car long) it's a vspec so the brembo's are of a bigger spec. Pads were changed by last owner and aren't a month old discs were machined as well he was told that the noise would pass I highly doubt it. Pads have been removed sanded down and anti-squeel copper greased applied this stopped the problem for alittle while but now the noise is back . Pads are Lucas pads and of unknown softness/hardness if I replaced with a softer pad would the problem go away?.

After a clutch for my r32 GTR will need to handle close enough to 500hp on the street with the odd 1/4 mile pass anyone got a jap brand twin plate they want to sell thats in good nick. cheers Brett

My clutch is starting to slip bad , clutch in the car is of unkown brand or type but doesn't feel standered. I need a new clutch that will cope with close enough to 500hp . Car is used mainly for street use and might see a couple of runs down the 1/4 mile. I can't justify paying 2-3 grand for a jap brand twin plate is there something locally made that doesn't cost the earth that will stand up to the power?. I'm in Sydney by the way also . cheers Brett

Looks like the clutch is starting to slip under quick changes in my new toy , current brand or type of clutch is unknown but it doesn't feel standered . I need something that will handle 280kw at the wheels and more what should I be looking to put in ?. The car is only a weekend car so I could put up with a on/off clutch but I don't really want to spend mega bucks and buy a jap brand. Any suggestions?

The car has everything that makes it look like it actually is an N1 but would just like to be 100%. Someone mentioned putting the VIN number into FAST?, what exactly is that I've neevr heard of it before.

Thinking about purchasing what I've been lead to believe is a vspec n1 the car has all the features of one but is there any special numbers on the ID tag to identify one from a normal r32 gtr?. cheers Brett
