Hi MissR34 These is so far the only genuine Veilside kit that fits GTT perfectly, though you need to fabricate a front lip to fit the GTR Top Secret CF Bonnet. Anyway Inpuls is also a great kit too, sometimes just a matter of choice and availability. I always wish to be different though...my 2 cents.

Can You Have Too Much Castor?
driftmeister replied to BHDave's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
Do you reckon i should adjust my caster to 7 deg since i find the steering is kinda light on high speed corner. Mine is now at 5.34 deg with 2.1 camber. -
Buddy Club Or Tein Coilovers

Just one question, For the BC N+, is the 15 setting for front & rear adjustment ? I notice the spring rate for GTT is 10/200 Front & 8/240 rear, what does the 200 & 240 refer to? Im from Malaysia and don't think they have a buddy club dealer here for me to enjoy the rebate. Will find a grey importer to help me out. -

Buddy Club Or Tein Coilovers
driftmeister replied to Onthehunt's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
Justinfox : Thanks for your informative feedback. I like the R-Tunes cos they are firm but the spring rate is quite high and shocks has limited settings (Front 4 and Rear 8). Till now i cannot figure out what setting i should use if front set at 3, so is the rear suppose to be 6? Since the front is just starting to leak, i will rebuild it for the moment while i start sourcing for the BC N+. Cheers! -
Buddy Club Or Tein Coilovers

For street & some canyon driving, which would be the better buy, Tein Monoflex or the BC N+? I do not track the car at all but wish for a firm yet have some compliant travel since the road i drives is pretty shitty everyday. My Nismo R-Tunes for my GTT is leaking on the front driver side. Not sure of whether a rebuild is the way to go. -
Can You Have Too Much Castor?

I just did my alignment today and my caster reading is 5.4 deg for both sides. Camber is 2.1 deg front & rear. Currenly all my arm are adjustable pillow ball type for both camber & caster all round. The handling is so far acceptable but i wish to have a setting for canyon or back road type of driving with slight understeer since i still haven't learn the art of drifting. Appreciate some feedback...Cheers! -
R34 Gtr Bar & Bonnet Fit R34 Gts-t ?
driftmeister replied to Tours's topic in Exterior & Interior Styling
He is using the whole front section of the GTR = Bonnet, fenders & front bar. You may need more parts other than the hinges and hoodlock. The front bar actually sit on a panel (not sure what part number) between the headlight which the GTT doesn't have. Plus once you install the fender, there is a small gap when u fit the small section like an inch lower than the GTT body. See the pics attached then u will understand. -
R34 Gtr Bar & Bonnet Fit R34 Gts-t ?
driftmeister replied to Tours's topic in Exterior & Interior Styling
The GTR bonnet is aluminium for Vpec & Non Vspec. Vpec 2 is carbon but it is painted with air duct on the turbo side. Prices vary for 2nd hand. A friend of mine just converted his and the weight difference is that the GTT is so much heavier. From my experience using a GTR Top Secret Dry Carbon bonnet, the handling is so much better and the car weight transfer feels more neutral. Plus the cooling benefit under the bonnet due to the hot air venting out from the scoop. -
Aiks! Mine seem to have the same problem but it pulled more to the right and find it harder when turning on long sweeping left hander. But now its getting much more twitchy after installing the Cusco adjustable camber arms (front & rear), Cusco tension rods and Nismo Swaybars. Alignment check seem ok. Think it could be the bushes?

Wow that one wild kit, look like an F1 curve on the bottom lip. Uras kit do make the skyline as a meant machine.

I managed to buy it off from another GTT owner who just imported the car. Since it was to low for his liking, it was a blessing to get a good deal from him. The Veilside website still have them listed for the GTT & GTR. Hope you can order them from here : http://www.veilsidejpn.com/

Vinci68 : Sorry mate for the late reply, busy working. Anyway to your question, it is a complete Veilside kit all round. Hope to post more pics soon. Keep you posted. Cheers!

Hi Guys, need advice on this problem. I recently fixed a leak power steering hose on the top of the pump couple of weeks ago. The warning sound appeared everytime when started cold. Quite a comprehensive job as the steering rack had to be remove. Anyway after replacing with a 2nd hand part (still in good condition) but handling still suffer as it was harder turning left than on the right. After 3 weeks and still figuring out whether the alignment shop did a proper job, i found the the cap opened (half tilted) with no fluid down to the white filter in the reservoir. But there was fluid around the reservoir and the hose behind the power steering pump (a clamp is used to tighten it). 1) Is there air bubble or pressure pushing the lit up? 2) The clamp may not be tighten properly that air has got into the system? 3) The power steering pump needs to be changed? Appreciate everyone's feedback.

I am lookng at this mild tune up with the Neo when i install T04E turbo next week on my GTT. Hoping to bring down the fueling on the higher rev range. Do you think this unit is suitable? Have all the basic mods like FMIC, Oil Cooler, Twin core Radiotor, exhaust, etc. Appreciate feedback whether the NEO can do it's job.

Im using Falken Azenis RT615 front for more than 6 months and surprisingly the tread wear is minimal (rated 200 treadwear). However my Toyo T1R on the rear which is 1 year is like 25% treadlife left + not so grippy but the good thing is the even wear. Wanting to find a good tyre to replace it, is the Adrenalin any better then the toyo's?

Just How Good Can A Skyline Handle?
driftmeister replied to Lachlan33's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
I'm investing a lot on suspensions lately for my 34GTT cos i want to learn & understand what a good skyline is suppose to handle on street, back roads or maybe few track work. Installing Cusco adjustable casters arm, cambers front & rear, Nismo anti roll bars, Cusco stabiliser bar, Nismo R-Tunes suspension. Dialing & setting the R-Tune shock can be quite confusing with adjustment for front is 4 and rear is 8. Im using Falken RT 615 front and Toyo T1R Rear. One last thing, im using 34GTR original rims with 9J x 18 (30 offset). What would the best adjustment setting when i take it to the alignment shop? Should we setup for slight understeer or neutral or oversteer to maximise the road handling capability of the Skyline? Is there anything i miss in terms of mods for the suspension? -
I just change into Nismo Engine & gearbox mounts for my GTT. Wondering whether anyone has experienced more vibration than the stock ones? I can feel it when i rest my feet on the rest pedal, doors (when opened), fenders, etc. Basically most on the front half portion of the car while idling. I was told it is normal because the Nismo are made from harder compound rubber but will feel less vibration once they aged. Pls advice cos i hope the install was done right.

Need Advice For Coilover Choice
driftmeister replied to R32_dori's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
Hi Guys I have the Nismo R-Tunes specifically for GTT. Kinda harsh for the street so am looking around for aftermarket springs. I heard so much about the SWIFT Springs for street coilovers, especially on Option magazine & Also the HyperRev for skylines. Anyone tried this springs before? http://www.swiftsprings.com/faq01.html -
Brake Pads Users Ratings Guide
driftmeister replied to Snowman's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
Im using the SSS 500 deg front and 380 deg for rear for almost 1 year. Been on a lot of twisties all year round and does mostly street. No noise at all and quite low brake dust with plenty of bite. Though some ppl use them find them to be squeky on low speed though i haven't experienced this before. Any price is acceptable and gonna change the pad in 2 months time. -
Correct Offset?
driftmeister replied to nizmo_freek's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
If you had the front as the same offset as the rear then it will fit pretty well just like the 34GTR original wheels. Will give you slightly more deep dish. Anyway nice rims and will look even better once coilovers fitted. -
Hi Bro Nice informative Blog plus the Impul front bar so it's time to get the side & rear to match. The only way to go down any steep ram is to take the most left then turn right on full lock so once u feel you tyre touching the base level then turn left again to lift the front (fingers crossed). Im surprised by the amount of steep rams i could go through in shopping mall parking. Even huge speed hump i could steer straight (though sub-conciously will do a turn left & right also). Anyway we all learn it somehow to drive it. Cheers!
