  1. nice one smartass who owns it now???? d
  2. what ever happened to that avo-schtickered 32???
  3. wow! no not top secret. from what i know about the car its been built in australia by people that know a thing or 2 about fast gtrs... hehe. the camcovers should signify something built with lots of... umm... jun bits perhaps??!! what a work of art! i've been waiting to meet this guy for how long now!? i remember when i was working at kingston hi-fi seeing this car (about 2 years ago or so??) and then it just dissapeared! i've heard so much about this car i can't believe its actually on the road and running (finally!) i'll be the first here to call reserve shotgun rights when its done its time doing the whole running in thing. david
  4. the r33 gtst boxes are pretty much identical to gtr boxes internally except you wont have to deal with the xfer case etc etc. if your 33 box is fried, i'd buy a new 33 gtst box. 2c. sorry to hijack... d
  5. ah dude that sux. the damage bill gonna turn up ok or not??? d
  6. any good clean connection to car body is going to be fine for the amount of power a headie will draw. just find an existing point and make sure its clean. i still reckon you might find its not an earthing problem.... d

  8. theres a guy here in canberra running them on a stock-ish setup and he gets positive boost by 2900 revs. he says they're ultra responsive. i was considering them for my car but it looks like i'm selling it now! theyre basically the same as 34 n1's in response. if its midrange you're after, perhaps look towards 2530s. the sheer number of japanese workshops running them (inc the mines 34 which is completely and utterly drewl-worthy) should be an indication of their potential. i believe dirtgarage (two.06l) are screwing 400kw+ from them too, if outright hp is what you're shooting for.
  9. i agree that the 1jz is a wonderful engine, not rb26 wonderful, but awesome nonetheless and imo among the best jap engines ever made. can't wait to see the car finished. cheers d
  10. 0MG!!111!!!! s1x0r @$c11 $k!11s!!!!11!!1 i just can't stand people that hog the fast lane i mean right lane!!! i find myself going "wtf get out of my way??!?!!" all the time.... phhth d
  11. i'm not sure if i'll have a car, but if i do and i'm free, i'll come along. someone remind me closer to the date pls
  12. you can have the battery's posts changed if you want to stick with your original clamps. and yes, chances are slim putting a d34 under a bonnet normally, but keep in mind, the optimas are happy on any angle at all, so you can mount them on their side no problems at all! otherwise, throw it in the boot! d
  13. this noise you're getting could be picked-up anywhere along the chain. do you have external amps/other gear or is it just a head unit w/speakers (no sub). cheers d
  14. hey hey hey just cos its old dont mean its no good! dont just bin it as some of these jap headies came with some nice features like optical sp/dif outs and the jazz. check first. d
  15. mate the 2560s are toted as a similar charger to the n1 varieties. depending on what condition your engine is in, with the right tune and setup they aren't too big, no. i'd imagine 300awkw would be reasonable although a bloke on here (pnblight from memory) is screwing more than that out of his setup. do a search cos theres been a bit written about them. d
  16. pm sent mate thx
  17. spotted white 33 in tuggers yesterday avo. gave a wave and got a wave. also spotted black 32 at the intersection on altree crt/hindmarsh drv. driver yelled out "nice car" thanx mate! d
  18. with the subi boys and girls i believe right j/e???
  19. differential. exactly. its easy to spin 1 wheel not meaning to take stabs at anyone here, but driving sideways in the wet, imo, isn't a sport of skill. practice? maybe... d
  20. mm. slippery roads aplenty thats for sure! i've had a few giggle moments recently. i still wanna bash my head against a brick wall every time it rains, because every falcodore driver thinks he's a drift king. i reckon we should fit limited slippers to every aussie car. the resulting bent body panels, buckled rims and bent suspension components would be somewhat amusing, if not perhaps a little sadistic!! haha d
  21. an absolute definate yes. you're gonna have to deal with spastic drivers daily regardless of whether you drive a skyline or a falcodore or a ferrari! given, i wouldn't drive a fezza to work every day, but it'd be driven many nights in every week thats for sure! d
  22. oh god here we go again. i know ian. sold him some stuff when i was at domayne. i had no idea he had such good taste in cars! its unfortunate, most people with ferrari's don't drive them often.... such a waste! david
