  1. I didn't touch anything relating to air conditioning system. There is no need to cut any parts of the body - except on coolers where you have an outlet / inlet on either side and you want to take piping up on drivers side of engine bay, whereby you have to cut a hole to accommodate piping under battery area. Thankfully there is a preprinted circle where to cut this hole - apparently due to fact that if your car's body was destined to become a gtr on production line then this is where they would cut - but if your car's a gtst etc then the perforation, but no hole, exists. I don't think the 180 degree turn will be an issue for you. In fact i think its Blitz that make skyline coolers in this maner. Not perfect but still very good.
  2. It's not a GTR cooler - GTR cooler doesn't enter & exit on same side. You will have to cut your front bar. I used a hacksaw & electric jigsaw - a stanley knife wasn't really do-able. Remember if in doubt cut less, rather than more as you can't go backwards after it's cut. I cut a couple of aluminium strips from bunnings to mount onthe upper reinforcement bar to hold cooler in place - same for lower mounts. My cooler sits on an angle, the bottom of it is pulled in toward the car more if that makes sense - to align it with the natual angle of the bumper bar. I took my time and proceeded carefully - it looks like a professional job and a bit of satisfaction from doing it yourself.
  3. I believe this is common (and normal) in R32's.
  4. Nice car! So what's your next ride? (sorry bit off topic)
  5. Price being reduced until sold
  6. 2 1/2 - 3 inch silicone $45 incl. postage (Australia)
  7. Blitz Blow Off Valve Very Good Condition Came off R32 GTST $155 incl. postage (Australia)
  8. If you're handy with a spanner then get a hybrid and some instructions off this web site. Otherwise maybe call Boostworx, Graham West etc for prices.
  9. Is the radiator a factory match to the engine? By the way, there is a LOT more pressure than 14psi in the engine... 14psi is just the pressure of the air being taken up into the engine. once it is in the cylinders the pistons then compress the fuel/air mix.
  10. Thanks Chops, does this person have any contact details you're aware of?
  11. Even Blitz ID3 will fit into your budget if you source from Nengun (I did this).
  12. Re: R32 GTST - I know Dr Drift etc can remap these ecu's but is there anybody in SA that does similar? Thanks
  13. R32 - Has anybody replaced the 'GT' badges found on each side of the car? What price have you paid & where are they sourced from? Thanks.
  14. I just told my insurance company that one was fitted, no change in the premium.
  15. what was the auction grade in Japan?
  16. Call a clutch / brake specialist and they will be able to help you - look under yellow pages
  17. Tin snips... a blade... It's just thick plastic and there's not too much to take off
  18. stagea came with rb26dett ('autech' version)
  19. via an electronic setup - to keep the turbo spooled up an anti lag system retards the timing of the engine and basically explodes the fuel mixture via the exhaust valves - straight through the turbo(s). turbo(s) suffer a big increase in temp and one mutha of an exhaust required to hold pressures of exploding fuel mixture. have you heard a rally car with anti-lag? you would drive down the end of your street and the police would be waiting yo defect your car.
  20. firstly be careful! it's fuel remember... i removed the fuel pump fuse then turned the ignition on (ie: turn the engine over a few times until it dies) to relieve the fuel system pressure. then removed old pump (have a container handy to catch any excess), put new filter on and then before starting the car just turn ignition to 'on' position and let the fuel pump do its thing whirring away for 10 seconds, then started my car. i didn't soak my new filter in fuel. I am not a mechanic though. do a search for greater detail.
  21. the variable factor is the blade's angle, instead of being fixed they can swivel
  22. You can reach the slave cylinder just by reaching under the car (no need to jack up or take tyres off)... my car is stock suspension (r32 gtst) but i still think you'll be able to get access. If in doubt get a qualified mechanic to do it. It's not really that difficult, especially if you've got a friend to push the clutch pedal for you. Bleed the master, then the slave. Still, if your reservoir is low you'd be best to find out where the system is leaking and then replace as necessary - especially if you're going to the trouble of getting a new clutch.
  23. I purchased black silicone from aileronone (US ebay seller). I have made 2 purchases via this seller & received goods within 2 weeks. quite reasonable, even after paying freight.
  24. I used Best Enterprises for mine - round about the $1,200 although that was quite a few months ago...
