  1. B/S??? Iridiums will last 100,000 km's on a stock car.... As for copper - this is from Unique Autosports Dyno web page: "Both of these items often pay for themselves by providing better power and economy. Iridium spark plugs often make more power than copper or platinum even if they are in good condition, especially at higher than standard boost levels."
  2. my car as well always is a needle width over half way point, not matter what the weather is
  3. i gather you are talking about the point on which the fork pivots on. i would imagine nissan could provide a new one, or search local wreckers...
  4. Back to basics - do you have the correct tyre pressures?
  5. is there a battery model number?
  6. my car has one of these nissan flares, it has it's own holder in passenger side footwell. haven't let it off though yet... maybe when i break down travelling through a desert
  7. hey bazelinez, do you have any pics of your install?
  8. Hey Warren, would you be able to post a pic of your R32 GTS-t install? That would be appreciated Cheers
  9. How do you guys know how much boost to dial in? Obviously you have the means to measure the boost... I figure i purchase one of these units, then screw up the boost a bit - but how much?
  10. sounds like your gearbox syncro if other gears engage correctly. if that's the case a 2nd hand / rebuilt gearbox is required.
  11. I have an r32 gts-t, stock apart from front mount intercooler & cat back exhaust. If i fit a dump pipe (i was looking at one of those flying performance ones off ebay) will my car still be quite driveable? I understand with a full 3 inch exhuast incl dump pipe the turbo will up the boost slightly due to the reduced back pressure... does this cause tuning issues? I understand a power fc might be required soon but in the interim will the car drive OK? If you have similar mod's i'd like to hear your response. Cheers
  12. I paid $60 for a new (not genuine) clutch master cylinder. Bit of a hard task getting clutch line undone from master cylinder as there's very little room to put a spanner there, otherwise job wasn't too difficult.
  13. Just replaced mine (32 gts-t) DBA slotted were quoted around $200 a disc... I was thinking this was going to be costly exercise but needed it done as my rotors were warped from when the car was imported. I ended up with ventilated Brembo's for $65 each! (new). I replaced the front rotors only and put new brake pads on. Works a treat.
  14. i don't know the answer - but - get your head down under the steering wheel and look up where the clutch goes up behind the dashboard. You should be able to see where the master cylinder rod is attached to the top of the clutch lever... If there's a thread on the rod i dare say it's adjustable - if so you turn it to adjust. (i have an r32 gts-t, they are adjustable like most other cars in this manner).
  15. Best Enterprises (complaince place) did mine with Pedders Urethane. Think it cost $90 each side and install wasn't very expensive
  16. I did this over the weekend. I removed the window tint from the rear window and it went a treat - the demister lines in the glass still perfect. Here's what i did; 1) got a painting drop sheet to cover back seats etc 2) mixed a solution of 200ml ammonia (from cleaning isle in supermarket) & 200ml of water into a spray container 3) section by section i sprayed the solution on the inside of the rear window, then covered with glad wrap to keep moisture against window. This was probably the trickiest part of entire job as glqad wrap is difficult to handle at the best of times. 4) parked the car in the sun (a 30 degree day, the hotter the better i think) for 2 hours. 5) with the glad wrap still on, i used a razor to gently lift a corner of the tint, then just peeled the tint off gently in one piece with my hands! It was a perfect job, not a sign of the tint left and demister lines left unscathed. I hope you find this post helpful. Good luck!
  17. so my skyline has arrived from japan, and i have a temporary registration from state transport authority to drive to compliance centre - only problem is how can you cover this travel with insurance? Whilst Just Cars & Famous Insurance will insure me, they will not cover the car when it isn't registered... so i guess i'm forced to hire a tow truck. how have other ppl overcome this?
  18. what are the reliability issues of drilled discs?
  19. i'm getting my r32 done through Best Enterprises in a few weeks time, they are a registered raws workshop as well.
  20. Can anybody with a R32 GTS-t let me know what type of car battery is used? ie: if you have brand and model that would help! Cheers
  21. "In a AWD system like GTR, an understeer is natural behaviour" Is it? Ordinarily the GTR is rear wheel drive only, giving the car favourable rear-wheel drive characteristics until the rears reach the limit of adhesion and torque is then progressively transferred to the fronts
  22. hey moo_r32 did they deliver the car straight to your door?
  23. nissansilvia.com has a sponsor selling @ $550 including door to door delivery
  24. also watch for leaking brake / clutch fluid - it eats paintwork
