  4. To suit a 1993 R32 RB20DE Part number 22433-60U02 pm me asking price and location. Can pickup in melbourne metro areas OR have it posted.
  5. Length of heatshrink. nice. The Wurth stuff any good ?
  6. As opposed to resounding a theory, (albeit proven within the right context) and not having a clue as to why they;re doing it? So now I have to search for hardwiring a fuel pump to appreciate the constant 12v power when i start making more than stock power. ic. note: I;ve solved the issue with the priming circuit and modified the FPCM to provide a good idle duty cycle without affecting power on transition. cheers for the responses.
  7. what does that mean and how is it bad for the pump?
  8. The FPCM is there for a reason so I dont want to particularly bypass it unless its an absolute last resort. I believe the pump is meant to step down ( quiet down) when the car is idling not work its titz off. I pity the next bloke who buys your cars finding these extra wires , relays, parallel circuits with no diagram to troubleshoot when things dont werk. lol
  9. update. Changed the fuel pump and while it now starts. It still doenst prime. So im thinking if i ever leave the car sitting for a day and the fuel in the rail evaps, its only a matter of time before it wont start again. Is my thinking right?
  10. i wanna get a can of seafoam sent over by a friend in the US and see what the fuss is all about.
  11. put me down for a couple.
  12. talcum powder is your friend for chasing oil leaks. Degrease, clean around the repaired or suspect areas and sprinkle some baby powder around the engine. Paying close attention to the suspect areas. You'll soon know where the leak is coming from. why dont we have the UV oil dye that the Seppos have for this stuff?
  13. I figured that much out. Whats does the initial priming the relay or the FPCM ? Cause the relay does not energize when i tun the key ON. That's next... Yep. All earths are good. At this stage Prob is either the pump or fpcm unless theres something else im missing.
  14. could someone in geek speak, more or less explain to me how the fuel pump circuit works ? Is the relay meant to energize when the ignition is ON? see diag. Im chasing a no start, no prime with a voltage seen on the relay. Relay is good, clicks when pulled to ground. Shorting pins 3 and 5 on the relay does nothing.
  15. couple of sauers have msg'ed me that they have a used flexplate of their Rb25's so thinking going the transplant route provided teeth are reasonably sound. But I'll call into Nissan spares tomorrow with a portable defibrillator ( jic) and ask the question.
  16. can I borrow one of your kidneys. Steve ? I only have two to sell.
  17. unfortunately, reversing the ring gear around is not an option due to to the extent of teeth damage.
  18. thanks for the reply. Im a competent welder so i think I could take this one on. Where does one buy ring gears, who makes em? Google search shows nothing in Oz.
  19. anyone? how easy\hard is it to remove a ring gear from one flexplate or flywheel and weld to another?
  20. can anyone advise whether an auto flexplate (flywheel) off a RB25 or 26 is compatible on a RB20 motor?
  21. auto's in here are rare as nuns condoms but there must be something out there. are the ring gears interchangeable from manual to auto?
  22. cbf measuring mine. But if you dont have a vernier caliper , wrap a piece of string around to the side of the clamp where the hose is squeezed. measure the length of the string and divide by 3.141. this should give you the rough ID of the hose. hth
  23. Rb20 motor.
  24. ring gear is chewed on my auto tranny flywheel \ flexplate. R32 1993. pm if you can help.
  25. Installed a copy of FAST from the usual places and looks pretty cool. Ive installed it on Windows 8 and run it in compatibility mode. Works a treat. Is there an EN language version for the JP models? Does copy and pasting into Google translate do much?
