  1. to tell you the truth i have no idea where it is, but somewhere between now and 5 weeks away it will have been over alot of water It will be on the boat soon.. my car description is not 100% correct, sorry -Patrick
  2. Alright sounds good, i will probably pick one of those up then. $1200+ on a cooler that is probably going to get hit by a rock one day anyway seems a bit insane..
  3. That's a decent list you have there PHATR32 thanks mate, i think it would be worth doing a timing belt also, as a safety measure. -Patrick
  4. I see, that sounds good - i'm tossing up between that and a something like a HKS type-R cooler (WAY more expensive!!) for my GTR (twin GT2530's). Do you know if they have those little internal fins? -Patrick
  5. Yep, got the gunmetal grey one with the GT2530's.. Actually here's another question, does that look like a stock GTR cooler to you? here's the pictures: http://www.prestigemotorsport.com.au/?/au/...sp?StockID=2598 I would have expected it to have an aftermarket one if the amount of money they claim has truly been spent.. it's going to cost a bit to get on the road though but it will be worth it!! Is there a way to check if the turbos are in good condition? As far as the claimed power is conerned i will believe it when i dyno it, but it should be good for ~400kw -Patrick
  6. Do these have the little internal fins like you see on the big name Greedy coolers and such? Does anyone have actual tests of these compared to other coolers? it would be an extremely interesting comparison. -Patrick
  7. I'm looking for some help compiling a list of things to do when my car arrives from japan, i'm not completely familiar with the workings of a GT-R, but i have a complete service manual and pretty good mechanical ability, so i will probably be able to do most things myself. Here is the list i have so far, if anyone can think of something i am missing, or suggest brands for oil etc. i would greatly appreciate it. i'm planning on spending a fair bit of time to make sure this car is right! The list so far: - engine oil + oil filter - diff oil - coolant - brake fluid (replace?) - power steering fluid (replace?) - replace timing belt (no idea when this was last done) - inspect brake subsystem (all piping, discs, pads etc.) and replace / repair if necessary - i will need to replace the intercooler anyway (it's broken) so while i'm at it i was thinking i might remove all intercooler piping and clean, possibly while the piping is off inspect turbos (check for shaft play, oil leaks etc.) they are GT2530's - compression test? - check valve-cam clearance? Anything else / comments? -Patrick
  8. Top information mate, do you know if this applies in Victoria too? I have a GT-R coming soon and have to do some other body work anyway (front bar, headlight..), so i might do this compliance work too. Thanks, -Patrick
  9. Thankyou very very much for this information, i am upto the "apply for import approval" stage, currently waiting on deregistration documents. I believe my car was manufactured in November, does this mean i can't apply for approval until november, or can i send it off a bit earlier than this? Thanks, -Patrick
  10. An oldy but a goody.. Would this belt suit a car with metal head gasket (unknown thickness) and possibly cams? Or would i be better off with an aftermarket part? Are these standard nissan belts upto the stress of a fairly modified car? Thanks, -Patrick
  11. Suit wreck/repair. For the car to be repaired it would need bonnet, front bar, rh guard, possibly rh headlight (glass not broken) Looking for $950ono for the whole car, or will separate if reasonable offers given for parts. has new Koni springs (1" lower, harder), Koni shock absorbers (adjustable), reconditioned gearbox (done 30,000 since reco), 14" wheels from '87 model prelude with reasonable rubber, engine in good condition - no smoke, all electrics work. I will post pics tonight if anyone is interested, or you can call me on 0421 284 330 - i'm in Melbourne. Thanks, -Patrick
  12. Got a laugh out of me too What is the advantage of running an RB26 with one of these?
  13. You didn't mention if the R32 manual includes the GT-R.. If it does i am also interested. Thanks, -Patrick Also, will you be selling the translated copies?
  14. Does anyone know of a decent but reasonably priced compliance workshop in melbourne? I have a GTR coming with 2xGT2530's.. One workshop wants over $1500 to compliance the car, which i cant help but feel is a bit expensive, Any help would be greatly appreciated -Patrick
  15. This thread puts the spook into me a bit.. bought a GT-R on monday... i'm at the beginning of this whole fiasco.. Do we have a list somewhere of ALL documents and the ORDER in which they are required as a reference? Thanks, -Patrick
  16. is the timing belt still available, and will it fit an R32 GT-R ? Thanks
  17. could you get the measuring tape out on it and post the width and height too please ? any ideas on what it would cost to send this to melbourne ?
  18. does it have a dent in the bottom? looks a bit like it from the first pic.
  19. how do these compare to the gt2530's ?
  20. Correction, stock gtr cooler is 60mm thick. Found another one for a good price sorry.. no longer interested.
  21. This is a fraction bigger than a stock GTR cooler right ? i think the GTR is 600x270x70 by memory.. Anyway the point of this is i need an intercooler for my GTR, do you have any more information about it? who made it? why do you think it's so good?
  22. Also, is this a 'projector style' light with the round bit next to the rectangular bit? Thanks -Patrick
  23. $150 + postage to melbourne Would like to see a picture of it if possible.
  24. Good luck with your sale mate, Just a couple of questions.. What kind of boost level is producing the 330kW at the wheels? Have injector/fuel pump mods been done? How many k's have the engine / chassis done? -Patrick
