1997 Nissan Skyline R33 Series Ii Gtst

sorry no thanks! maybe if it was 325. hehe. -
Vehicle: 1997 Nissan Skyline R33 Series II GTST Turbo Transmission: Manual Colour: Bright Red KMS: 155xxx Location: Adelaide, SA Extra Info: The car is a standard late M-Spec model that comes with factory side skirts and rear pods. I have fitted a cat back exhaust, pod filter. short shifter kit and rear Nismo strut brace. The previous owners have fitted a heavy duty clutch and Tein front castor rods. The rest of the car is standard. Known faults: I'm an honest seller so I'll list what I know (I'm a mechanic by trade) The vehicle is running slightly on the rich side due to an exhaust manifold leak. It will require removal and replacement of gasket and refacing the manifold. It will also probably need a new oxygen sensor (I'd recommend it anyway). It lacks power above 4000rpm due to this fault. I would also check the turbo while its all out. The vehicle is still drivable just annoying when you are trying to accelerate quickly. Cosmetically it needs the front fog lamp covers and I recommend replacement of the bonnet - it has a slight crack underneath on the frame. Other than those issues the rest of the car is in good condition. The interior is clean with no rips or tears in seats. I believe $7500 is a reasonable price taking into consideration the faults. It is an urgent sale as I need the cash so will be accepting reasonable offers. PM for further details. Note: Wheels pictured are not included in the sale.

Due to some unfortunate circumstances last week - semi trailer swiped my car and wrote it off, I'm forced to part out my car. The car will be back in my possession some time this week and I'll be stripping it down. Most modifications are less than 1000km old (and were all purchased brand new) and the car was only just tuned a week before the accident Mark at ET had just completed the exhaust and intercooler piping aswell. The car made a healthy and safe 284kw at the wheels on 15psi with capabilities of more than 350kw if the internals were done. Pretty devo atm considering the amount of time and money that went into it, and the fact that the accident was not even my fault as he switched into my lane without seeing me. Clipped the RHR sending my car sliding sideways in front of him, then rammed my RH side a few more times before I hit a tree on the LH. I will be wrecking the whole car so please ask if you need parts that I have not listed. The car is a late 1997, Black SII Type M with A-LSD. Cheers for the input guys. Just to clarify, the engine does start but only after I have manually spun the CAS. As soon as the injector pulses, I can reinstall the CAS and it starts. Its not the AFM and its not the CAS. When the engine is running, it receives all signals correctly and runs fine. I've checked the end of the cam to make sure there's no damage to the half-moon shaft. I've just bought another starter motor and will be installing it this weekend.
-
That's a fair call about the injectors. I'm running a remapped RB20 ECU with Nistune. My question is now, what's the difference between me turning the CAS by hand and the camshaft doing it whilst cranking? It should technically still prime and pulse the injectors whilst cranking?
-
Symptom - Car cranks but does not start (hot or cold) There is fuel pressure at the line, pump is operating and priming correctly. There is a good spark. Now here is the confusing part - on initial start, there is no injector pulse. I thought easy fix, its probably my CAS. Changed with another working unit tested on another car. It starts! Switched the engine off. Try to start again, cranks but no start. Once again, no injector pulse. When i remove the CAS and spin it by hand, the pump primes and the injectors pulses. Reinstall the CAS and it starts. But when I switch it off, same problem reoccurs. I've checked all the main wiring loom, make sure there's no short to earth. I've checked all earths and wiring. The battery is new. Measures 12.4Vs and 14.5Vs whilst running (alternator is charging). Whilst cranking it drops to 10.2V which is acceptable. My theory is that the starter motor is drawing too much current when cranking, causing the CAS not to send the proper signal. Does anyone have any further ideas that I might need to check? I know its hard to diagnose a car over the internet without seeing it, but just want to hear any other ideas just in case I have left something out. By the way, the car did receive a whole bunch of upgraded bits. Just to name a few that might affect it - Bosch 040 fuel pump and Bosch 363 injectors with R32 GTR ballast resistor, Z32 AFM, 80mm Throttle body. The rest of the mods I fail to see how it could affect starting. Cheers!
