  1. Old page but I'm in the market. Are your Stillen air intakes still available?
  2. Thanks ElftGT350, Chris, Colin and Alkatraz for various inputs. I'm partial to the Bose because I had one in a Mazda 6 and loved the clarity (without harshness). System had a subwoofer in the boot and really rounded out the sound. There was plenty of volume but it wasn't so much about loud as it was about rich and full. I'm seeking to replicate that experience is all. Thanks re heads up on the Cruise Control. Saw elsewhere that Chris can fit OEM cruise. Good to know! Anybody seen an options list at all for 2010 SP? Cheers guys.
  3. Well done Alkatraz. I like that you're in Perth and had it all handled by Chef in Brisbane. Glad that worked out well and very encouraging for me. I'm with you on the grey. Greatly appreciate your response. Cheers.
  4. Cheeky buggers. Sad if the sound is not enriched by the 'premium' system. Got to have a good sound system in the car. What else get's dropped without the NAVI?
  5. I gotta wonder though. In Japan, aside from the NAVI there would be other features that came with that option pack for the V36. Anyone know what they would have been? I'm drawn to that premium BOSE stereo system for one thing. Anything else?
  6. Thanks DJ Volatile. That's where I'm headed. You would have got a Navi car I suspect. I'm not hung up on the GPS not working for Oz but would be interested what you change or find out if you do make any changes to your sweet ride. I'm thinking here about issues with using blue tooth and plugging things in via USB. How long did the whole import process take from whoa to go out of interest? Make sure you post some pics!
  7. Is anyone driving a 2009 or 2010 Skyline model? Is the story any different re bluetooth with iPhone4 and USB integration with two year old iPod Nano? I can't help but be drawn to the NAVI option because I understand it includes the BOSE sound system. I've been trying to find some reference to options packs available on the 2010 SP model (in English) but without any real luck. Might have to toss a coin as to whether to import a NAVI or non-NAVI model and get aftermarket NAVI instead. I just don't know what else I will miss out on if I go non-NAVI!
  8. Chris, can I just say - You are a fount of knowledge. Many thanks. (and probably lots more questions!)
  9. Great to get that response Kristian. I'm trying to narrow down the options list and colour combo. Chris R most helpful in pointing out GPS is just an option so don't get it. Read also in www.autozine.org (fun read that) to stay away from the 4WS system - he was referencing the late 2008 model I think. I also heard that any cars on the auction block that are modified in any way have to be taken back to stock to be compliant. At the link below is what sounds like a nice ride with: Full 2.5 inch ARK Exhaust with high flow cats, dual pod air intakes. So this must be after market here in Oz. http://www.carsales.com.au/private/details/nissan-skyline-2008-14634291?base=1216&vertical=Car&cr=1&eapi=2&__N=4294686019%201621%204294678014%201246%201252%201247%201282%204294963846%204294963593%201216&num=15&silo=Stock&Range=Year%3a2008%2c2012&sort=default Anyhoo, that car's got the mustard (fauve) interior. Noice! Any ideas what the full all up cost to import a 2010 model might be? (automatic, titanium grey preferred, no GPS, 30,000 KM or under in tip top nick. I'm just askin!
  10. Newbie here. Great to find this forum as I'm looking to start a love affair with a 370GT Type SP. I'm probably going to import one and am just getting myself familiar with the ins and outs of the process. I realise there will be issues re the GPS for example and Chris Rogers has advised - get one without a NAVI. Doh! So I'm keen to jump in there an hoping the budget can stretch to a 2010 model. Great also to see what sensible modifications are possible. All the best. Cheers. MiqMaq.
  11. Hey Chris, what year is it? Any idea the number of K's? Is there a URL to have a closer look?
  12. Thanks Chris. Read your helpful post specifying Non Navi version. Nice pic of the SP interior.
  13. Thinking ahead to the car i'm keen to import my understanding is the GPS Is Japanese and would need to be changed(?) to be of use in Australia. Am I on the right track? Anything else need changing to be fully functional here? Any thoughts on process, cost, gotchas?
  14. I'm about to start this journey to import a 2010 model should the budget allow. JLImports comes across as reputable and I have yet to investigate IronChef. It's wierd to put the money up front, pay purchase, shipping, import duty, etcetera and not see the vehicle until the deed is done. Provided the broker is reputable it seems to make more sense to go this way rather than buying from a car yard in the premise that you'll spend less and (hopefully) get the car you want. Any advice, gotchas or 'Take heed brother!' advice?
