    We are currently running a raffle to raise some much needed funds for the club. The winners will be drawn at the DECEMBER MEETING - Tuesday 20 December You do NOT have to be at the BBQ to claim your prize - as long as you have provided a current contact phone number, we will be able to contact you to arrange pick-up/delivery of your prize. We have had alot of support from various companies with donations to the club, so get your pennies together and try to win some cool prizes for Xmas!!!!   8. Cant wait - they have already started to get the roads set up for the F1 next year (i drive it every day and my office looks over the track). Being right after the Commonwealth Games - they are expecting more numbers next year. New rules / qualifying will certainly make it interesting!!!

  16. I cant see the times up yet - to give you an idea, The 550 was doing 1.23's. The white 32 GTR driven by Sam (car 40, i think) was doing 1.15's A Porsche broke into a high 1.14's. Also great to meet Pome Jo - the SAU member in the Yellow EVO who was at the track yesterday. I'm pretty sure he's now addicted and congrats on the lap times as well - 1.28 on your first outing. Awesome effort - sounds like we'll see you at Phillip Island next month.

For all those interested - see below details: When: 6pm - 10pm, Wednesday 23rd November 2005 Where: Calder Park, Calder Freeway, Keilor Cost: $80 per driver (includes one pit crew entry) Spectators: $10 Schedule 5:00PM Gates open 5:50PM Compulsory driver briefing 6:00PM Track opens, drifting begins 8:00PM Scrutineering closes 9:30PM Top 4 driver Tandem Battles 10:00PM Track closes How to enter: All entries will be taken at the gate. Entries will be capped at 70. Those who arrive early will have priority. The Track Calder Park is divided in to two sections during a practice night, the Drift National circuit and the beginners section. The beginners section allows drivers new to drift the ability to practice one a long sweeping hairpin with plenty of runoff. Full Lock instructors are always on hand to offer advise to further your drifting ability. The second section is the Drift National Circuit. This is designed for confident drivers who want to practice linking and high speed entry corners and practice on the Victorian Drift National track. Car Requirements: Cars must be of a safe and roadworthy standard. They must have working headlights and break lights. Fire extinguisher and roll cage are not essential but recommended. Seat belts must be worn and of a safe standard, harness’s permitted. All lose items must be removed from the car. It is recommended that you remove your front bumper to avoid damaging it. Driver Requirements: Drivers must be licensed. Drivers must wear long sleeve top and long pants made of natural fibers e.g. cotton. Helmets must also be worn and are available for hire at Calder Park for $20. Passengers: Passengers are strictly not permitted. Tyre Fitting: Tyre fitting and 2nd hand drift tyres are available thanks to Autosphere. Costs are $10.00 to fit a tyre and $5.00 to purchase a 2nd hand tyre. Top 4 Mini Comp At the end of every practice night the top 4 drifters are chosen to drift in a mini competition. This is an opportunity for the talented drivers to get some real tandem practice and offers the spectators door to door action. 1st, 2nd and 3rd place are given prizes thanks to Autobarn Sunbury and Driftline Racing. Hey Guys/Gals, Unfortuantely the cabins we stayed in last time are fully booked, but I have sourced a place just as good (hopefully) so get phoning and book your rooms: Tudor Motor Inn - 5821-8411 64 - 66 Wyndham Street Shepparton (left hand side heading out of Shepp towards DECA) - Twins - 1 queen (with the option of 1 single as well) - $88 - Family - 2 dbls & 1 sngl (which I have booked) OR 1 dbl & 1 queen - $110 No Deposit required and when you book, say you are with Skylines Australia. If we book 14 room or more we get a discount rate of twins @ $82.50 and Familys at $105 - a bargain i know!!! There is offstreet parking. Now, if this is booked out when you call dont panic - there are 2 other motels across the road, so as 2nd or 3rd options try the: Courtyard Motel - 5831-2355 Twins - $86.90 - standard or spa rooms from $97.90 can also put a single in the room OR Windermere - 5821-3088 $118 for 2 people / night Cheers and I hope to see you all up there ready for a drink or 16!!!!
