OK.... I need to know what nights you will require accommodation for. Min and I will be driving up on Thursday afternoon/night - so we are staying Thurs/Fri/Sat. If you guys could let me know this info it would be great.

The details for the next Calder Drift night are below - nice early notice this time. When: 6pm - 10pm, Wednesday 15th June 2005 Where: Calder Park, Calder Freeway, Keilor Cost: $80 per driver (includes one pit crew entry), Spectators $10 How to enter: All entries will be taken at the gate. Entries will be capped at sixty. Those who arrive early will have priority. Car Requirements: Cars must be of a safe and roadworthy standard. They must have working headlights and break lights. Fire extinguisher and roll cage are not essential but recommended. Seat belts must be working and of a safe standard, harness’s permitted. All lose items must be removed from the car. It is recommended that you remove your front bumper to avoid damaging it. Driver Requirements: Drivers must be licensed. Drivers must wear long sleeve top and long pants made of natural fibers e.g. cotton. Helmets must also be worn and are available for hire at Calder Park for $20. Do not wear shorts and a t-shirt we know its getting warmer but this is for your own safety. Passengers: Passengers are strictly not permitted. Prizes Prizes will be awarded to the top three drifters on the night courtesy of Autobarn Sunbury . The top three drifters are decided by a top eight D1 style drift battle. The battle begins at 9:15pm presentations at 9:50pm. Drift tyres will be available for sale and fitting at approximately $15 per tyre. BEGINNERS Remember the bottom section of the track will be open for practice for BEGINNERS ONLY, and we will close it at 9.15pm. Any beginners using this section of track are able to drive on the main circuit if they feel capable. Beginners will be instructed on how to drift by the Full Lock Drift Team/FLM Racing free of charge.

Meh - im happy for people to get pi55ed & BBQ'd at my place - its then a 10 min crawl to Sandown in the morning. Or perhaps we could drink the Sunday night AFTER the track day seeing as we all have the Monday off it seems to make more sense.

Healesville Zoo Dandenongs - eg. Puffing Billy Beach - 12 Apostles Daylesford - hot springs Footy - dont listen to Geoff Museum Scienceworks Restaurants - there is a great Aussie one in Berwick (The Dig Tree - i think) serves kangaraoo/emu/croc/goanna/etc I-Max Theatre - some people think its exciting Cruise down the Yarra River Phillip Island - penguin parade Bar 20/Mens Gallery - im kidding Lilydale/Yarra Glenn - wineries Mt Buller/Mt Stirling/etc - scenery is amazing or go horseriding/white water rafting/skiing (depending) Casino Melbourne has heaps of stuff for tousits to spend money on - check out websites - heaps of tours etc. Tourism Victoria - http://www.visitvictoria.com/ Ask her what she wants to do while shes here - she'll probably have it all worked out by herself what she wants to see and what she doesnt.

Yes other cars can enter - check the classes - 4WD (Open to all non-Skyline 4WD models) - RWD (Open to all non Zed/Skyline/Silvia models, Turbo and Non-Turbo - FWD (Open to all FWD models, Turbo and Non-Turbo)

As most of you know, Snowman & Scotsman (with possibly other SAU members entering) are taking on the big guns in this years Dutton Rally of Victoria, to be held 28-31 July - Click HERE for further details Well as the Dutton Rally is fast approaching and seeing as its such a big event, we started thinking accommodation may be hard to find so..... Min and I have booked a cabin at a caravan park across the road from where the boys will be staying. This is going to be one hell of a weekend, lots of cars, lots of racing, lots of the infamous SAU (I mean Taco Bills) margharitas. So, if anyone else is planning to come to Shepparton for a great racing/social environment and of course to show your support, accommodation details are below: Where: Victoria Lake Holiday Park, 536 Wyndham Street, Shepparton Phone: 5821-5431 When: 28/29 & 30 July Our cabin is a Deluxe cabin and has 1 queen, 1 double & 1 single and works out to be about $40/night. So there are a few extra beds in with us if anyone’s interested let me know. Cabin is self contained and has: Shower/Toilet, TV/VCR, Aircon/Heating, Fridge, Oven/Hotplates, Microwave, Toaster, Kettle etc... BYO Linen - sheets/doona/pillow/towels It's cheap and quiet accommodation on a lake - what more could you ask for!! People Coming: Min - Thurs/Fri/Sat Bec - Thurs/Fri/Sat Al - Thurs/Fri/Sat Mal - Thurs/Fri/Sat Other Accommodation Offered: Luxury Lake Cabin 1 queen & 4 singles 3 nights for two people = $290, plus $10/extra person/night Deluxe Cabins 1 queen, 1 double & 1 single 3 nights for two people = $245, plus $10/extra person/night OR 1 double & 2 singles 3 nights for two people = $245, plus $10/extra person/night Ensuite Cabins 1 double & 3 singles 3 nights for two people = $204, plus $10/extra person/night Camping - call for details.
