need to be there by like 8.30am am pretty sure its a 1.5 hr drive - so i plan on leaving home about 7ish *fingers crossed* it gets me there in time there is also a group of officials leaving the Village Green at 7am

EXACTLY!!!! - its about awareness. Although - reading what they accomplished in Sydney alone last year, it also seems that Earth Hour does help out as well. It makes more of a difference than I thought it would.
