  2. owwww Still itll be ace to see you and catch up Dane
  3. The 80% ruling is based on each individual drivers skill. Not speed, not how much power your car makes and its not the same standard for every driver. They do this as a safety precution - it also happens at proper track days during passenger laps. If a driver is seen to be 'overdriving', ie constantly off the track and in the dirt, or struggling to keep the car straight, etc etc, they may considering you are driving above your abilty, and as that can be a concern, expeically at these days where there are often passengers in cars, they may ask you to leave. They say "80%" as a way of telling people that this is not a sprint event (hence the title "Fun Day") and that they wont tolerate people pushing themselves past their limits on the track at these days. Having said all that - these days are a great way to have a go on a track if you havent done so before. Its sometimes a little scary due to number of cars on the track at once, but again, if you are only driving at 80% there is little that can go wrong. Anyways.... the above is my interpretation and if anyone wants/needs further info, I suggest you contact Winton and have a chat to the event organiser about it.
  4. *shakes head* - another waste of innocent lives. When will Americans learn that perhaps just because its 'my right' to own a gun, doesnt make it a good idea. Guns should be illegal - perhaps that would end all the stupid pointless massacres that happen over there.

Anyone who wants it, let me know. Also - for those of you who will be arriving after the hotel office is closed, I will collect all the room keys (if I know you've booked a room), we should be near the pool, so come see me when you get up there.
