  1. I drove a 85 model corvette the other day.... I would hate to own one... the fiberglass body squeeks and growns like a mofo, and they dont pull up all that well... But they do sound hot. Sumo
  2. Thanks mate.... your a champ
  3. Jive, I cant see that man, its too dark.
  4. Its all opinion, I prefer the looks of a skyline over a 180... most the older 180's look so dated. Stock for stock, the performance will be similar. and most the 180's have tacky interiors (unless they have gone custom). It comes down to a Turbo 4 Vs Turbo 6..... Sumo
  5. The bonus with R33's is the battery is in the boot, so its not all the hard to source power for your relay from the battery. How much worse off are you if you install the fuel pump externally? Too much noise? Not Practicle? Dangerous if invovled in an accident? Sumo
  6. They usually just give it a hone to get the bore shiney to make a full contact around the outside of the bucket
  7. Gents: I know this is a long shot, but..... I have been thinking of how to immobilise my car without going to extreme but yet still be effective. Now the way I see it is if you install a kill switch in the boot (On the fuel pump wire), you can push the lock mechanism to only open with a Key (the boot cannot be opened inside the car unless removal of rear seats). Therefore you will create more headaches for the theif, and if they are watching you when you get out of your car to immobilise (it just looks like your getting something outta your boot). Only problem is that my boot keylock has been blanked out, So I cannot open it with my key.

  10. thats too true about shit creek....
  11. The brake master has a cylinder, when you push the brake it operates a mechanical cylinder that pushes the fluid to the lines (assisted by vacuum), im not a mechanic - so I dont exactly know how they operate. They are a small bore with a little piston that operates in them. We did a nissan partol brake unit the other day, gave it a hone with a honeing bit on the drill and cleaned up the bore and put a new set of buckets in it. As I said im only an auto elec, so your probably better off asking a mechanic for a greater set of details. Sumo
  12. Of course the ECU looks at the water temp..... How do you think it knows to up the idle of a morning?
  13. Why dont you get a rebuild kit and rebuild the master while your at it..... All you would have to do is put a new set of buckets in it and give it a hone. Sumo
  14. Thanks Jaws, your a champ

  19. Was the XF the one with the intake plenum near the exhaust? when you stopped it the heat would evaporate the fuel and wouldn't the bastard wouldn't start Sumo
