  1. Mate, I always use eucalyptus oil on the goo, it makes things like chewing gum come out of carpet. Plus it leaves your car smelling realy nice.
  2. I know how annoying intemittent faults are, They should either break for just keep working We have people in at work tryiing to get us to find intermittent faults, and there is nothing we can do unless it plays up for us. Sumo
  3. Look for a probably a full set of 3/8 sockets, a set of metric spanners, and a 1/2 inch drive breaker bar or rachet (for servicing). That would be the very least, To get to the spark plugs (removing the 2500 Twin Cam cover) you will also need allen keys. These basic bits should get you through just the very basic self maintanence.
  4. Doug, now if I was a snap-on one, they would replace it free of charge... lifetime warranty
  5. Something German
  6. No idea, but I would never be without my snap-on spanners Sidcrome were good, until they turned cheap and nasty. Sumo
  7. gotta wait for them to wear in, then it feels like a stock clutch.
  8. when you buy a clutch they come with the pressure plate as a kit... they usually come with everything needed to attach them to the flywheel. Even a thrust bearing. My Daiken Exedy Clutch cost me $450 (exchange) delivered to my door. Its an organic clutch rated at 450hp. I fitted it myself, but most likely by the sounds of things you will need someone to install it, so around a budget of $600-$700 you might get one fitted I would assume.
  9. the wire for your starter motor is a big fat white with a black trace coming off your key barrel. (Or possibly black with a white trace) Its been a while so my memory is shit house.... just probe it with your test light and turn the key to start. You have to take the bottom part of the steering surround off to get to it. There are possibly other areas where you can get to the wire that will make it a shitload harder for a theif to get to, but this would be the easy way of doing it. You could use a relay and set it up, so that it takes a theif time to find it, and hide it in the engine bay somewhere. But then if he knows what he is doing he can start the car anyway. Slow down tactics are as good as it will get, Tow trucks can override any alarm. I would immobilise the fuel pump, because if you start playing with the ECU and use your test light, there is a possibility you can blow it up.. You will need to probe for the wires though, cause I haven't touched them myself, so I don't know. And the door sensor, is it an actual sensor?(I dont install alarms) Or does it just sense the power from the interior light switch? If its the latter I would try and get my hands on a wiring diagram, then you would be able to source power from a central point with the switches combine to turn on the light. Sumo P.S. im only a 1st year.... dont listen to me - No one else does lol
  10. Learn to talk properly, and people might understand what you are trying to say. And it could be anything. Clutch more so then anything, they tend to die if you are trying to rip skids with your mates. Sumo
  11. Cheers mate, will check it out this arvo
  12. Just wondering if there are any mechanics that can give me a heads up on how to diagnose my Power Steering problem. Drving home the other night all of a sudden my steering got heavy, so when I pulled up I checked my tyres, P/S Fluid level, and the pump belt, all was fine..... So now I have to determine whether its the pump itself or the cylinder. Is there any tricks on doing it? And can you rebuild the cylinder and pump yourself? or are they a throw awayable item? Sumo
  13. lol
  14. test lights are cheaper then multimeters, and are brilliant. They tell you where the power is getting to. Sumo
  15. cheers mate
  16. r32-25t - what gave you that idea?? The header of the page is as follows Stuart's GTR Skyline » ABC New England North West NSW
  17. Driver training doesn't turn people into peter brock once they have finished. I jumped into the deep end, from a V6 VS ute to a GTST, and I haven't had any trouble. Sumo
  18. I agree, with reading his posts and others, just picking up stuff here and their has helped me understand the TAFE side of things for my apprenticeship alot better.
  19. I like both, and would own a rexxy or 200sx if I didn't have my 33... although I cannot see how I would fit in either as I have trouble fitting in the 33
  20. tried Apexi.com ? Sumo
  21. I wouldnt mind a copy for the 33 either.... But im after the whole car rather then the ECU. Sumo
  22. Im suprised to see no one has commented on his modified mullet Sumo
  23. He looks like the Bloke from Import Cars 4 U from Tamworth. I think I could recognise his face. Sumo
  24. Lol, you dont wanna pay an auto elec? The question you ask is a very open one, and without having a look at the car most people wouldn't be able to diagnose. If I were you I would pay an auto elec to sort it out...... Or you can take random stabs at what it could be. Just dont start a fire. Sumo
