Engine: Something Fully Synthetic... I run Caltex Havoline 5w-40 and the rb25det loves it up Gearbox: I have had many reports to use Redline Gear oil - will fix most syncro probs - im yet to try it. Diff: Shell fully syntetic LSD diff oil... its well worth it, I reckon it even made my diff a bit quieter

I got a exedy clutch... 500hp jobbie, works a treat.... even gets compression locks Sumo

1. Sounds like a thrust bearing, a pretty cheap part to replace, but is labour intensive..... may aswell replace the clutch whilst its getting changed. 2. No Idea 3. Engine - Something Fully Synthetic.... I use Caltex Havoline Gearbox - Redline oil for sure Diff - a fully synthetic LSD oil.... I use the one shell make Brake - Dot 4 i think it is.... yeah, thats pretty much the way..... the exhaust is a real pain in the arse tho. I found my diff bungs were done up by a rock ape..... Took a bit of opening.

I just use Caltex radiator coolant.... Its supposed to be a 50/50 mix. Flush your radiator, e.g. drop all your water out (undo the bottom hose on the radiator.... I think I undid the one going to the motor as it was easier then pushed the hose down to the ground). Put the hose back on fill it up with clean water (and radiator cleaner if need be) and start your car so it runs through and turn your heater on.then once its been running long enough pull that hose off and drop that water out.... once you have done that fill up with fresh coolant and water (premix it @ 50/50 or what ever the bottle says) and you will be sure that you have flushed it. Cheers Sumo P.S. Let your engine/radiator cool down before you put cold water in it as it may cause things to crack (expanding and contracting too quickly)

What Adrian said.... im 19 and the only accident I have had is stupid kangaroos that decided they wanted to cross the road right infront of my ute when I was heading back into town. All these acco's you city people have are because there are too many drivers, I know if the enthusiasts knew what it was like out here they would love it.... I replaced the clutch and thrust bearing on my 33 yesterday... Unless you have a pit or a hoist to work in you cant do it. It only took us 2hours to have the box out.... takes prolly the same to put it back in. Sumo

They were driving at black out and this chick was yabbering away and missplaced the road She was trying to "catch up to the rest...." hence a bit of speed. Sumo

MLCrisis: I am in the process of replacing the standard clutch with a 500hp excedy one. Mine done the same thing as yours, but in second gear it just sat there. Clutch smell was bad enough for me to get the shits and order one straight away. Cheers Sumo

I did the diff without a hoist.... Took about an hour by the time I fiddled round... just make sure you have a oil pump with a flexible hose to pump the oil back into the diff... And my 3inch exhaust was in the way really bad you gotta try and work around it Cheers Sumo P.S. I could only buy that oil in a 4 litre container.... its bloody good shit

The gearbox is easier! two plugs - one at bottom and one at drivers side top... bottom one drains, top one fills. I got a mate and used a hand pump to pump the oil in, lot easier then trying to run a hose through the engine bay! Cheers Sumo

They are getting old so rust may be a problem. If you drive it you should be able to tell how well she has been looked after. Look for the normal signs, oil leaks... e.g. Check the oil and see how old and black it is. Synthetic oils tell lies.... My cars didn't oil didn't look old at all, but it must have been way past its recommend km's because the car responded really well to the new Synth oil I put in it. Cheers Sumo
