  1. Im 19 I have had no problems with my R33 GTST, I guess I drive like a granny tho.... It comes down to attitude, I have seen more dangerous drivers then me in old shitty Bluebirds/Commodores/Falcs! Anyone can be dangerous in any car, but if you respect your car you should have no problems. Sumo
  2. Well, I have been for a week been driving my 33 round with no number plates on it for about a week now (blue slip people are stuffing me around) and the cops pulled me up once and asked "Nice car, can we have a look?" then he said "your not intending on driving it no more?" I said no and he hopped back in his wagon and I went home Cheers Sumo
  3. I cant see why the good old Roof & Gutter silastic wouldn't work.... I've seen it last for years in the weather . Cheers Sumo

    4th Gear

My smoothest change would be into 4th gear I reckon 2nd is the hairy one Sumo
  5. Hrmm, I had a look and cant read the Jap writing beside it, but is it something like RC41? Or is it in some other number?? Cheers Sumo
  6. Im with boxhead: My own insurer! Whilst im in Country NSW anyway... Sumo
  7. Im in Country NSW. Near Tamworth. If you had all the filters and oils would only take half a day to do max. Changing the oil in my Diff today, EP 85w-90 was recommended for the R32 GTR, but it reads its not recommended for LSD's? Im not sure whether the R33 is a LSD or not?. Sumo
  8. Kik-ass is on the money! The fuse it keeps blowing is under the hood too!! Cheers Sumo
  9. Skyline_Paul: I just changed the oil in my gearbox and they feel as smooth as silk. I used Caltex Gearlube 70w-90 coz thats what they recommend for the car and its well worth it (used about 3.5 litres)... no more nasty clunking. For the engine I used 5w-40 Full synth (nearly used 5 litres). For the gearbox all you need is a 1/2 inch rachet (the square bit opens the bung) and the motor you need a 14mm ring spanner or rachet depending on what you perfer. Filter for motor No. 145a Petrol Filter Z200 Cheers Sumo
  10. I have a mate who drives trains also (wheat trains), and he said from personal exp. that the tracks dont buckle till the hottest part of the day like 12pm to 4pm. He said also that the train controllers tell you the speed in which you can travel and they sort everything else too. Sumo P.S. My condolences go out to those involved EDIT: can anyone please tell me which Army APC regiment was involved in the medivac? was it 1st/15th Royal NSW Lancers?
  11. Blackbeastr33: I just pulled my whole surround off, you need to pull the surround around your gear knob (that plastic shit) and undo the screws underneath it. then the rest of the dash is clip so just pull on it and it will come off by itself You will need to undo heaps of switch wires that are connected to the whole dash shroud. Cheers Sumo
  12. Yeah, I just did the same thing... I got no dash or tail lights This thread is really good Cheers Sumo
  13. I reckon that polishstorm is looking out for his fellow skyline enthusiasts, he got ripped off, and doesn't want to see anyone else blindly doing the same! The way I see it its all about looking after your mates, but these days everyone is so worried about saving their own arses...... Sumo
  14. 1 Axel set means that its enough for the front or the rears. (like enough pads to do one axel - not one wheel)
  15. I like it! Sumo
  16. DBASteve will tell you that the best track pads are DS3000's or something, and DS2500's for street. They will poo on your green stuffs But he also reckons that if you want a good cheap pads, bendix Ultimates Sumo

    Gear Box Problems

My mates old Kinga HZ wagon had the same problem, what had gone wrong was the Thrust bearing in the gearbox was F*&ked. Doesn't cost much to replace, I would fix it before the bearing goes to pieces and stuffs the g/box (busted bearing pieces in a g/box aint a good thing). I was told its from loaing it up on take offs too much, might be wise to try and get someone to beef it up a bit? Cheers Sumo
  18. looks tricky (in a good way) but I reckon I would get sick of it Cheers Sumo
  19. 19 now, 20 in Nov Sumo
  20. I found the light closest to incoming traffic is always aimed down a bit.... and the outside is normal Sumo
  21. Cheers, Thats a great reference Sumo
  22. Change the fuel filter... Z201 Well worth it Sumo
  23. I heard people saying that to use the Freightliner cooler? It would come down to the motor the truck is using wouldn't it? Because Cummins/Detroit/Cat would all supply different intercoolers with their motors? And you can't tell me that frieghtliner stuck to one brand, coz I have seen the above 3 mentioned in these trucks. Sumo
  24. Skidpan - its like a big tarred surface, that people put witches hats on and water and you can slide till the cows come home... I'm gunna have to come to one of these one day Sumo
